Totally useless articles on (random) individual issues of a comic book series. -HKMARKS 16:10, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Laura Secord ChocolatesLaura Secord[edit]

The nominated redirect was stubbed and is no longer a redirect. BigNate37(T) 19:51, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Unhelpful redirect. Laura Secord didn't have anything to do with the chocolate company – they're just using her name. This is better off as a red link until someone writes an article on the company. --Q Canuck 13:50, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'll turn that into a stub on the company right now. Why? Because I love ice cream. -HKMARKS 15:25, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

LibtardList of political epithets[edit]

The nominated redirect was Kept. -- JLaTondre 11:26, 30 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Other political epithets have been deleted. There is nothing notable about this one. -George100 12:22, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep - as per previous AfD. It redirects to List of political epithets, where it is listed. No compelling reason to delete. (additional comment) Google of libtard returns 19,600 hits. Crockspot 12:29, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
    • Repug returns 228,000 google hits, and that was deleted. [1] -George100 13:05, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
      • Repug has not been deleted from List of political epithets. We're not discussing the merits of the words, or whether they merit their own articles, we're discussing whether or not there should be a redirect to the article where the word is listed. Was Repug an article, or a redirect? If a redirect, deleting it makes as little sense to me as deleting the libtard redirect. If a user types in either repug or libtard, and presses GO, they should get List of political epithets. This is a no-brainer. If WP is going to purge all neologisms in any form, I'd like to start with Swiftboating and Fitzmas. Crockspot 16:57, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete Neologism. StuffOfInterest 12:34, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Wait a minute - what's a redirect doing on Articles for deletion? RFD is next door. If you wanted to nominate list of political epithets for deletion, paste the AfD notice on it, not this redirect. Closing. Awyong Jeffrey Mordecai Salleh 12:44, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep, it's mentioned in the article it redirects too exactly as you would expect. --Cyde Weys 19:15, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment I believe the nominator of this discussion has now been satisfied in his concerns, and this discussion is no longer necessary. Crockspot 17:37, 25 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep - Somewhat notable word, likely search term, proper target. CP/M comm |Wikipedia Neutrality Project| 18:17, 25 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Vulgar redirect with no encyclopedic value. - CrazyRussian talk/email 05:22, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep to prevent duplicate articles and educate the uninformed searcher. BigNate37(T) 10:34, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per BigNate37. Redirects like these also help deter the creation of nonsense articles. --Mr. Lefty Talk to me! 21:13, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep— Wikipedia gets passingly strange. As a result BigNate37 & Mr. L recommednation is right, even though I rather agree with Crzrussian. Williamborg (Bill) 04:33, 1 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
    • Yeah, I agree with Crazy-R too, but I sort of giggle when I think of that immature adolescent, looking up vulgarities, only to end up reading about docuemented canine behaviours. It's sort of a perverse pleasure of mine to educate people against their will. BigNate37(T) 05:08, 1 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Kizilsu Hui PrefectureKizilsu Kirghiz Autonomous Prefecture[edit]

The nominated redirect was Kept. -- JLaTondre 11:29, 30 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Name of geographical location is misspelled. Its supposed to be "Kizilsu Kirghiz Autonomous Prefecture", not "Kizilsu Hui Prefecture" Abstrakt 17:22, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete for above reasons. Abstrakt 17:23, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. Redirects from variant names of political entities, even technically incorrect ones, are useful if they are in common use or might be searched for. The existence of the redirect is not a challenge to the correct name so long as it appears correctly in the taget article.--Gavia immer 19:29, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Northern Zhuang churchesZhuang[edit]

The nominated redirect was Deleted. -- JLaTondre 11:29, 30 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The vast majority of the Zhuang are animists, unless this refers to the traditional religion, this redirect doesn't make much sense Abstrakt 17:41, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
