Aluminium/SpellingAluminium[edit]

The nominated redirect was Deleted, negatively impacting the encyclopedia by adding a bogus entry just to patch up some bot's bug is wrong. Fix the bot, don't munge the encyclopedia. --Cyde Weys 20:15, 22 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Who the heck is going to type that? Voortle 00:10, 20 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • I think it's a dummy page created in order to manage the Talk:Aluminium/Spelling page. I don't particularly care about the redirect itself, but we need to keep that Talk page. Unfortunately, drill-down Talk pages like that tend to get incorrectly tagging for speedy-deletion by various bots as orphaned Talk pages unless you've got some kind of placeholder tag on the "article" page. So change it from a redirect if you have a better suggestion but keep some form of the page until we get all the bots under control. Rossami (talk) 10:07, 20 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Permeability (hydrology)Permeability (fluid)[edit]

The nominated redirect was Kept. -- JLaTondre 14:08, 26 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Finishing incomplete nomination by User:Mwtoews. Keep, could be useful, no harm. TimBentley (talk) 04:13, 18 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep. This redirect was created as the result of a recent pagemove by the person who then tagged the page for deletion. It is related to the pagemove redirect immediately below. It is needed to direct the contributors and readers to the page to the new title. Rossami (talk) 10:09, 20 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Speedy Delete as {{db-author}}. — Arthur Rubin | (talk) 22:06, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
    • Comment {{db-author}} does not apply because the author did not blank the redirect page. BigNate37(T) 00:27, 22 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
      • Comment. But he (the author) attempted to nominate it for RfD. Are you, perhaps, confusing {{db-blanked}} for {{db-author}}? — Arthur Rubin | (talk) 00:40, 22 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
        • Comment: Neither {{db-author}} nor {{db-blanked}} can apply in this case because the redirect was automatically created as a result of a pagemove. The moved article had significant history by multiple users at the time of the move. User:Mwtoews is not the "author" in the sense that was intended when that speedy-deletion criterion was created.
If you think the speedy-deletion criterion should be expanded to cover this scenario, you could propose it there but I would recommend against it since that would make it easier to cover up pagemove vandalism. Rossami (talk) 21:47, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Permeability(geology)Permeability (fluid)[edit]

The nominated redirect was deleted. Doubly unlikely typo, and page move was in 2004, not recent. —Centrxtalk • 20:00, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Finishing incomplete nomination by User:Mwtoews (apparently with reason "this redirect seems useless"). Keep, could be useful, no harm. TimBentley (talk) 04:13, 18 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • No comment, but, if kept, change source to Permeability (geology), and delete the resulting redirect. — Arthur Rubin | (talk) 22:01, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Marvel Heroes And villainsList of Marvel Comics characters[edit]

The nominated redirect was Kept. -- JLaTondre 14:08, 26 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Finishing incomplete nomination by User:HelenKMarks. It may not be very plausible, but there's no harm in keeping it. TimBentley (talk) 04:08, 18 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • The page has some history as a separate article. It was briefly tagged for speedy-deletion (though it clearly did not qualify) but was changed into a redirect instead. Keep in order to direct the contributors of the original page to the correct title. Rossami (talk) 10:15, 20 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. Useful, does no harm. --Zoz (t) 15:05, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Dondo Keshav KarveDhondo Keshav Karve[edit]

The nominated redirect was Kept. -- JLaTondre 14:08, 26 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Finishing incomplete nomination by User:Chirags with reason "not a correct name." Keep, plausible typo. TimBentley (talk) 04:02, 18 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep. It's a variant spelling. Variants are common when transliterating names from other languages. Rossami (talk) 10:18, 20 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. a variant spelling makes sense to keep. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Edgelord (talkcontribs) 18:11, 20 August 2006
  • Keep per above. --Zoz (t) 15:04, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Angel (series)/Plot summaryAngel (television series) plot summary[edit]

The nominated redirect was Kept. -- JLaTondre 14:08, 26 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Finishing incomplete nomination by User:Silver Edge. Cryptic's reasoning on Talk:Angel (series)/Plot summary (originally here) seems reasonable, so keep. TimBentley (talk) 03:56, 18 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep. Please look at the page history. This is the only documentation of an older pagemove. (It was made before the MediaWiki release which started recording pagemoves in the edit history.) This redirect has already been nominated for deletion once and was kept. Rossami (talk) 10:21, 20 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. Seams like a good reason. Also the clearify the current nominator was finishing a nomination that was incomplete and actually wants to keep it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Edgelord (talkcontribs) 18:09, 20 August 2006
