Replaceable nonfree image. There are scores upon scores of magazines illustrated by Finlay which have entered the public domain. This is a Japanese cover art of Thriller (song). I don't think removing this image harms a reader's understanding of the single. Everyone knows that it is sung in English, not Japanese. This image is either international or UK, but it is not American. Although, in Wikipedia, the US image was added later, and the UK image has been used longer than the other, the US image reflects the critical commentary more than the UK one, including the singer's and the song's nationality. Someone used this French (supposedly) image, which consists of just text, blue background, and yellow-bordered box, to replace the US label. Fortunately, I recovered the US image per undeletion request and then reinsert it as leading image, pushing the French image to second. This file may not be correctly licensed as the license given on the instgram is not CC-BY. At best this is a Copyrighted Free Use, but that would need OTRS confirmation from Matt Weller. The text on Instagram says "may be reposted as long as i am credited", doesn't mean that we are allowed to relicense it under a free license, he also hasn't released it under a non-retractable(!) license, like CC-By which someone has claimed while uploading. THen it is the problem with FOP since the lighshow isn't permanetly placed (refer to the Eiffel tower-case), and that AUS-rulas are based on UK's De minimis rules. Seems to be obviously CC-BY to me, just by the terms given in an indirect language. I see no reason to delete this file, as there are probably several usable fair-use rationales we can apply to the use of this file. I think it would be more appropriate to delete if the Photographer himself wishes to reframe the license or deny our use of it as fair under his existing license. ♥ Melody ♥ 19:27, 14 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Let me re-explain:
1. The image claims to be under CC-BY, while failing to prove that the owner agrees to (1) allow commericla usage; (2) alow derivative works; (3) license it under a non retractable license; and (4) specy that it is under CC-By to begin with. If someone agrues that the "language in this image description" entails that it is the same as CC-By, that person must not understand the basics of copyrigth law.
2. Fair use can not be claimed given Fair use rationale 1: "No free equivalent. Non-free content is used only where no free equivalent is available, or could be created, that would serve the same encyclopedic purpose."

File uploaded by Shikharsaxena (talk · contribs): Sourced and licensed. However, it has low resolution and no EXIF, so I'm not sure if we should trust that claim. I'm also not sure if we have any use of it as it is unclear whom the picture shows.
File uploaded by Sudheer.keshav (talk · contribs): This has no source and no licence, but the watermark suggests that the file is unfree.

There is an attempt to use one of the revisions in User:Pkumar77/Pankaj Kumar, but I'm not sure which revision that page is meant to contain. The person who created that page might also have tried to include c:File:Pankaj.jpg, which is a different picture. The userpage seems to try to display a picture of someone called Pankaj Kumar, but the file information page does not reveal what these two people are called.
