Sherburns, California[edit]

And ... this is somebody's ranch/farm/house. Shows up as two buildings near a river fork on the 1926 topo, but by the next one, it's the site of the Eel River Ranger station. My WP:BEFORE only turned up last names, and this finally explains it. That newspaper clipping is from 1951, and says many years ago the Sherburn family lived at the forks of the river near the ranger station ... The evidence suggests to me that our "former settlement" of Sherburns is that Sherburn family cattle farm. Looks to fail WP:GEOLAND as just somebody's house, and WP:GNG is not met.
