The result was keep. WP:DUP does not apply, as the pages are not on exactly the same subject. WP:OVERLAP conceivably applies, but as discussed below, various RSes consider the series' differently, and there is a natural distinction shown between them. Given that the article is sufficiently sourced for GNG, it seems to make sense to keep it separate - although the inline citations in the article should be improved. Keep reliable sources treat the Mega Man series and the Mega Man X series as separate entities. e.g. [1] the Mega Man 30th Anniversary Bundle [...] which compiles all 11 mainline Mega Man games and the eight Mega Man X titles. and [2] They just don’t seem to get as much love or appreciation as the classic Mega Man or Mega Man X games. Keep per User:Iffy and my thinking that if someone tried to cram all the info for these Mega Man sub-series into the Mega Man article (there's 6 of 'em with 4.5 games on average per sub-series) it'd become too large and unwieldy.Americanfreedom (talk) 05:50, 1 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Keep: This is clearly a separate series, with lots of content that wouldn't fit on the Mega Man page. It's unclear to me why you would even consider deleting this. Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mega Man (original series) is a completely different situation. — Toughpigs (talk) 01:07, 14 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Keep: RSes treat Mega Man X as a separate series and discuss it as such, and there's certainly enough about it to support a page; a redirect to Mega Man would lose information, while a merger would make it large and unwieldly. Also, since you note that Mega Man (original series) was deleted, it may be worth noting that pages for fellow subseries Mega Man Legends, Mega Man Zero and Mega Man Battle Network also exist. — Kawnhr (talk) 21:01, 17 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
