Maniac (truck)[edit]

Maniac (truck) (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View log)
(Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL)

The coverage (references, external links, etc.) does not seem sufficient to justify this article passing Wikipedia:General notability guideline. WP:BEFORE did not reveal any significant coverage on Gnews, Gbooks or Gscholar. PRO was removed with no helpful rationale (sad but not unusual abuse of the PROD system). • Delete I don't think "save of the year in 2008" is really a qualifier for notability for a truck... No basis for inappropriate prod removal, with no independent sources provided or found. Reywas92Talk 07:07, 12 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep It seems reasonably prominent in its field. For example, there's a Hot Wheels model of it and it seems easy to find coverage such as Maniac makes Hickie's dream come true. The worst case would be merger to a page such as list of monster trucks and so our policies such as WP:ATD and WP:PRESERVE apply. Andrew🐉(talk) 08:41, 12 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete: does not have direct and indepth SIGCOV to show notability. BEFORE showed nothing that meets this and the article itself is not sourced   // Timothy :: talk  07:46, 13 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete: per above. We don't need articles on every monster truck. Surely it could be part of a list somewhere. Nigej (talk) 11:00, 13 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - I could find only fan sites, product listings and passing mentions. The article given by Andrew above is only a passing mention, that article is about driver Trent Hickie. I don't think there's reason to merge to list of monster trucks unless the scope of that article were extended as it only has driver names, there's nothing from the article under discussion to add to the "Maniac" entry on the list.
