Comment: it's a tricky one, this – the positions of the two singles on the R&B chart can be corroborated, and there is a reasonable article about her in Billboard in anticipation of her provisional debut album [1], and a brief follow-up a few weeks later when the release date had changed [2]. But I haven't got anything else at the moment, and everything else currently in the article – the album being shelved, making a second album a decade later – would remain unsourced, so the announcement of the debut album's forthcoming release in 1997 would be an odd place to finish an article if we just stick to the verifiable sources, unless someone can find something else.
