Well, the number in NZ is considerably smaller than that, of course. Waikato appears to have roughly 100 full professors, for instance. Multiply that by the 8 universities in NZ, and ignore the fact that they're not all the same size, and you get probably less than 1000. Full professors in NZ are equivalent to distinguished/endowed professor in most Asian and North American universities and to a professor of a discipline in British universities, according to Academic ranks (Australia and New Zealand). Nurg (talk) 09:05, 24 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
