Avalon (DC Comics)[edit]

Avalon (DC Comics) (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View log · Stats)
(Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL)

I prodded it with the following rationale: "The coverage (references, external links, etc.) does not seem sufficient to justify this article passing Wikipedia:General notability guideline and the more detailed Wikipedia:Notability (fiction) requirement. WP:BEFORE did not reveal any significant coverage on Gnews, Gbooks or Gscholar." It was deprodded by User:Andrew Davidson with no meaningful rationale (despite the fact that I explicitly asked for one in the PROD). Sigh. Let's discuss. • Delete, for one, this article doesn't even have a defined topic, it covers two, completely seperate topics. Neither of these topics have been the subject of any coverage that would help pass GNG, and the article in its current state fails WP:PLOT. Since this doesn't have a defined topic, there is nowhere to redirect it. Devonian Wombat (talk) 07:05, 26 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Redirect to List of locations of the DC Universe. Avalon has a mention there already, which is all it needs. I don't see any other information in the article which should be added to that list. Rhino131 (talk) 12:17, 26 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete This is an unsourced article that has existed for 14 years. Wikipedia should not have unsourced articles.John Pack Lambert (talk) 12:22, 26 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - the point of list entries is to provide a centralized place for information on subjects that are notable within the fiction but unable to sustain an independent article. Right now, this article is linked in-line from two non-list articles. Morgaine le Fey (DC Comics) just name drops it with no additional context needed. Mordru mentions it twice and provides all the context needed for a reader. I don't see the need for a redirect. Argento Surfer (talk) 13:08, 26 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete- Completely unsourced fancruft. There's nothing that could be merged anywhere, and the title is not useful as a redirect. Reyk YO! 14:02, 26 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - Both versions listed here are very minor fictional locations, with no in-depth coverage in reliable sources. Avalon (comics) has it listed already, and its entry there can simply be used to point to the List of locations of the DC Universe if needed. Rorshacma (talk) 16:32, 26 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Abstain - I think I wrote the first version of the page as part of my attempt to list all the planets of the DC Universe, and they have almost all been systematically deleted so why stop now, you all already deleted far more significant planets in the DCU. I'd rather just not be notified of them. Aapold (talk) 02:11, 27 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
