Heh, just wanted to let you know that my edit wasn't vandalism, just removing your user page from the Category:Film fan user templates, which is for the templates, not the fans themselves. :) — MrDolomite • Talk 21:17, 19 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Botzkowski[edit]

Hi, I saw your edit on the list of simpsons charachters page, where I added mrs.Botzkowski, thinking she was missing. The reason why I didn't find her there was that I searched for Botzkowski using ctrl-f, but she is listed as Botzcowski with a c. In the article on "Some enchanted evening", she is referred to as mrs.Botzkowski with a k. One of the two must be wrong, and should be corrected. Do you know the correct spelling? (Is it ever spelled out in any reliable source, or is the spelling based solely on how her name is pronounced on the show?).Dr bab 12:55, 13 April 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Justice League Adventures/Unlimited: Other Characters[edit]

Thought I'd bring this up here if you didn't see the talkpage for the Justice League Adventures section.

I think there might be some confusion with this section. It seems to me that it is for characters that were not able to be in the show due to legal stuff, and not for characters who could have been used in the show but were not. There are some characters who I think could have been in the show but were not because they writers just did not find a oppertunity to use them. However, they still are on this list. I will try to find out if any of these characters could have been used, and if so, I will take them off this list. Rhino131 00:18, 21 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The page specifically says "Due to liscensing issues or other reasons". Meaning characters that didn't appear in general. I'm going to put those characters back on the list. Other reasons can be that they didn't fit the story requirement, or would be too much baggage. 71.115.192.199 06:59, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Also, while you may have no reason to believe me, I'm the one who put the list up there in the first place. My number is different now, because my computer had a reset. So I'm sorry if I wasn't clear enough in that paragraph describing the list. I've provided similar lists on the Superman Adventures and The Batman Adventures page. 71.115.192.199 07:13, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm using another computer, but anyway thanks for the response. Should I simply state that some characters did not appear for various reasons? As for why I felt the need for the section:

A. A good portion of those who watched episodes of Justice League and Justice League Unlimited are those who are fans of the mainstream DC Comics Universe. That particular portion of the fandom more than likely would anticipate the animated debut of their favorite character. In the case of the list I put up, it allows the fans of the unused characters to still see the Animated Style rendering of said characters.

B. The show has been over for a year now, with no intention of continuing, so those characters will not see a debut in the animated continuum save for the JLU comics. If the show was continuing still, then I would agree that the majority is pointless.

C. Like with Batman Adventures and Superman Adventures, the JL Adventures page was a stub. Stubs without added info overtime I believe can be voted for deletion. So I figured the info was helpful to increase the page content. 74.61.186.169 09:22, 26 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

note to self finish this for apu page[edit]

As the proprietor of the Kwik-E-Mart, Apu charges high prices for low quality products, which are often past the expiration date or otherwise unfit to consume. In "Lisa's Pony" Homer finds out he is the only person who eats the Kwik-E-Mart hot dogs, as they have never been moved from their display case. Apu seems to be the only person to know about the quality of the food, as he refuses to eat it, even when trapped in the store for 72 hours. He has also told his children to never eat the food because it can make you "sickey". Since the Kwik-E-Mart is open 24 hours,

If your going to expand the text about the characters, great, but please try and confine descriptions to less than 4 or 5 sentences. Also, it would be great to have some more real world information about the various characters, rather than just a short summary about their appeaance in the episode. -- Scorpion0422 00:26, 19 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"real world information" basically means stuff not from the shows - information about the character/episodes creation/production, future appearances, cultural influence, etc, etc. See Cape Feare for an example of an episode page with excellent real world info and Troy McClure for an example of an character page with excellent real world info. Also see the WP:FICT guidelines. I hope that helps. -- Scorpion0422 14:07, 19 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, thank you for becoming a member of The Simpsons WikiProject. The Project has been around for over a year and has seen many Simpsons related articles improved exponentially. The members of the Project have achieved many successes, including getting an an entire season of The Simpsons promoted to Featured topic status as well as getting many articles promoted to Featured article and Good article status. For a full list of Project accomplishments, see this page. There are currently several drives within the project, including a drive to improve the episodes of season 1 and a drive to improve the core articles of the project. If you would like to work on a page and need help, please see our guide to sources or the style guide. If you require any further assistance, please leave a message on the project talk page, or ask myself or Gran2. Once again, thank you for joining the project, and happy editing.

Important: We're currently going through a membership reconfirmation, so you should probably go here and add your name. As well, there is a serious discussion about character pages going on at the WikiProject talk page, and if you would like to comment, it would be much appreciated. -- Scorpion0422 19:36, 22 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Season 9[edit]

There had been a drive to get The Simpsons season 9 to FT status kicking around for a while, but finally it has gained momentum. If you would be interested in helping out with the project, visit this page. Owning the DVDs is helpful, but not a requirement. you could get stuff from online sources, clean up plot sections or copyedit. If you would be willing to help out, it would be much appreciated. -- Scorpion0422 02:17, 24 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What is your reason for this edit? --noclador (talk) 16:42, 29 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

thank you for your time. I thought that you based your decision on a rule and wanted to know which one it was. The most important reference is clearly the one, where they allude to JFK Jr. and that is still in there, so your revert is ok with me. --noclador (talk) 20:25, 29 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Images[edit]

I personally wouldn't have a problem with it, but odds are that they would be removed eventually. -- Scorpion0422 23:18, 10 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the updates lately! Cirt (talk) 23:34, 17 December 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Images[edit]

My guess would be that after they were removed from the recurring page, they were tagged as being orphaned. Nobody removed the tags and the images were deleted because of that. Really the only thing you can do is reupload them. -- Scorpion0422 02:47, 12 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Rogues (Flash Template)[edit]

I thought I would just send you a quick note, as it seems we are the two that primarily edit the Flash template. I recently removed the Rogues from template, as I feel this is a reduplication of the characters already listed as villians (all current member are on the template). You had reverted this edit without explanation, and I was curious as to your rationale, prior to any further edits of the Rogues. THanks for your time. -66.109.248.114 (talk) 21:46, 14 January 2008 (UTC).[reply]

Got you message, and get your rationale. I have included the Rogues, and placed the subsequent Rogues characters in context to the group to provide a better distinction, and included Savitar. Thanks for the feedback. -66.109.248.114 (talk) 01:02, 15 January 2008 (UTC).[reply]

I was reading the talk page for GL template, read a comment of another user stating that this page is a mess. This template has had some ownership problems in the past, and I know you have provided some great input and suggestions for the Flash navbox. I was hoping you could stop by and provide a few comments to help provide a more consistant application of style with this box. -66.109.248.114 (talk) 23:28, 18 January 2008 (UTC).[reply]

Thanks for the comment. -66.109.248.114 (talk) 21:08, 23 January 2008 (UTC).[reply]

CTC Vandal[edit]

We have made a list of vandals that continually vandalizes Kill Gil, Volumes I & II by changing "Christmas" to "Crime", the list can be found here. If you revert the vandalism, i would give the warning {{subst:uw-vandalism4im|Article}} which says this is the only warning they will receive. When reporting to vandalism noticeboard link to the list of vandals, and hopefully the IP will get blocked quicker, and for a longer period of time. Ctjf83talk 21:16, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I assumed you didn't because if you did there is no way you would have made that next comment. It is not OK to include something based on the fact that other articles of the sort have it, that was the whole point of me providing the link to that specific policy.--The Dominator (talk) 06:08, 6 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Anyway you're right, it's a pointless squabble, I was just frustrated because I added something like "This episode makes several allusions to the 90's including popular music, television etc." and was hoping that that would make people less tempted to add specific trivial information, I mean think, we add one song and a bunch of new users and IPs will start adding the whole soundtrack and every single piece of original research that can possibly be made, and feel free to respond on my talk page, you don't have to look for an edit to make just to respond :)--The Dominator (talk) 06:15, 6 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I see you have reverted the template twice from people (including me) who try to convert it to the navbox template, because you feel "it looks better that way". According to the navbox template (Template:Navbox/doc), there is a sense of trying to maintain consistency and style throughout Wikipedia. (That's part of the purpose of templates themselves.) There are options to change the style within navboxes using CSS via parameters, if you want. Also, just to let you know, if you don't like how it looks, you are able to tweak your own CSS settings! See Wikipedia:Skin for details. (I'm pretty sure nobody wants to violate WP:3RR purely on the basis of the visual look of a template.) Remember, you can always talk to your fellow editors about your concerns; we're all trying to reach consensus here. --Geopgeop (T) 08:37, 19 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ya know, forget what I said above; I didn't realize you knew all this already, considering your edits on other navboxes... --Geopgeop (T) 08:45, 19 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

just felt like saying hi —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lorty2 (talkcontribs) 19:33, 24 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia:Bold - You may dispute it, but I have a clear right to perform the merge without discussing. Just because he is a "major minor" character in The Simpsons doesn't protect him from scrutiny, and I doubt it's been unknown that the quality and lack of out-of-universe information is unknown to many of the highly competent members of The Simpsons' project. - The New Age Retro Hippie used Ruler! @Piotrus: I updated the Wiktionary link so that it should jump directly to the right etymology (it's at the bottom of the page). Hopefully that will help. And for what its worth I don't think the phrase is all that obscure and people can understand the meaning through context. Rhino131 (talk) 03:43, 3 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
