That is a good find. Here is a source[1] from the Ministry of Home Affairs (India) that mention him as a nominee for the Padma Shri. A nomination for such awards from a State Government is also considered as notable. Gritmem (talk) 08:01, 6 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
