Proposed deletion of United States Flag Code

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article United States Flag Code, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

WP:NOTGUIDE explains that we do not put instructions or what to do into Wikipedia - this sat untreated for some time.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.  — master sonT - C 14:53, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

I have nominated United States Flag Code, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/United States Flag Code. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message.  — master sonT - C 05:38, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

The article Juan Carlos Chavez (murderer) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

WP:ONEEVENT applies.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ttonyb (talk) 01:47, 19 July 2010 (UTC)

Photos

Hello, Zoohouse. You obviously have some photo editing skills. I like your unibrow photo better, and there's some terrific stuff on your flickr page. I hope you enjoy Wikipedia. Jonathunder (talk) 14:21, 21 July 2010 (UTC)

Thank you Jonathunder =) --Joel M. (talk) 16:31, 21 July 2010 (UTC)

Fix this one too

Look this one got a tag. File:Projection Screen.jpg. And what did you mean by just kidding? Daniel Christensen (talk) 01:40, 22 July 2010 (UTC)

I was just kidding about throwing away the $20 web cam. --Joel M. (talk) 18:54, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
Fixed the File:Projection Screen.jpg image. --Joel M. (talk) 16:25, 26 July 2010 (UTC)

Crypto++ (Thanks for the help)

Thanks for the help Zoohouse. It is appreciated. I wish I had ninja-like wikipedia skills like others (such as yourself). The Crypto++ article would probably not be in jeopardy....

Jeffrey Walton Noloader (talk) 22:05, 9 August 2010 (UTC)

Not a problem, it's an excellent topic and I'm surprised it wasn't already included in Wikipedia. I don't really see the article being deleted. The claim that the topic isn't noteworthy is really weak in this case and won't stand.
Hope the best for and Crypto++ and for your self. Looking forward to you becoming a regular editor here at Wikipedia, and perhaps with much practice and patients, a Wikipedia Ninja as well! ;-) -- ℐℴℯℓ ℳ. ℂℌAT ✐ 02:43, 10 August 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for the words of encouragement

Crypto++ (Alogithm Table)

Hi zoohouse,

The table view of Crypto++ algorithms is complete. Thanks for the suggestion. It looks much nicer.

Jeff 65.201.171.178 (talk) 20:30, 10 August 2010 (UTC)

Looks great, it's a lot easier on the eyes now. :) -- ℐℴℯℓ ℳ. ℂℌAT ✐ 20:32, 10 August 2010 (UTC)

Crypto++ Article (Shaping Up)

Hi zoohouse,

I think you and Ryan saved the article. Thanks for the help. I'd like to invite Toddst1 back for a visit. Do you recommend?

Who's user:toddst1? -- ℐℴℯℓ ℳ. ℂℌAT ✐ 00:30, 11 August 2010 (UTC)
I believe he (she?) is the first person who revieved the article and proposed it for deletion (2 minutes after it was submitted).
Jeff Noloader (talk) 00:55, 11 August 2010 (UTC)
toddst1's WP:NN recomendation can be found at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Crypto%2B%2B.
Jeff Noloader (talk) 00:57, 11 August 2010 (UTC)
Oh yea. Nah, doing so may prove a waste of time, I doubt Toddst1 cares about the topic. And doing so may make you look like you are gloating or rubbing it in. Toddst1 already knows that the deletion didn't pass, sure the user is keeping tabs on the situation.
Congrats on your first article. =) -- ℐℴℯℓ ℳ. ℂℌAT ✐ 01:02, 11 August 2010 (UTC)
Thanks. I never would have thought posting a wiki article would be so grueling.....
And thanks a million for all the help. If I can ever assist you with some crypto work, please don't hesitiate to ask.
Jeff Noloader (talk) 03:35, 11 August 2010 (UTC)
Your copyedit request is receiving attention. Check out Wikipedia:WikiProject_Guild_of_Copy_Editors/Requests#Crypto.2B.2B and the article Crypto++. Paulmnguyen (talk) 04:39, 16 August 2010 (UTC)

Crypt++ Discussion (My Bad)

Hi Zoohouse,

Sorry about deleting the material....

Jeff Noloader (talk) 00:53, 11 August 2010 (UTC)

Don't worry, it's not a big deal. You probaby have noticed that nothing on wikipedia really goes away. lol No biggie -- ℐℴℯℓ ℳ. ℂℌAT ✐ 00:55, 11 August 2010 (UTC)

Crypto++ (Algorithm Table)

Looks nice. Excellent work. I'll make sure I rip it the next time I need one :)

Jeff Noloader (talk) 03:32, 11 August 2010 (UTC)

Forgot to mention, <ref>{{cite web...}}</ref> has been applied to all references, so I believe the reference template warning can go away.

Crypto++ (with extra [[ ]])

Lol.... I think I have to own up (or blame it on Ryan

By the way, your signature/tag line looks normal on Linux/FF. Windows/IE has it borked. (I could not figure out what it was supposed to be on IE until I saw it in FF).

Jeff Noloader (talk) 06:40, 11 August 2010 (UTC)

Really? Can you get me a screenshot in IE? I run Linux (Ubuntu) and my Mac. Looks great in my MacBook running FF... Damned IE... -- ℐℴℯℓ ℳ. ℂℌAT ✐ 06:42, 11 August 2010 (UTC)
Jeff Noloader (talk) 18:54, 11 August 2010 (UTC)
I guess IE doesn't support all the Unicode symbols... eekkk... -- ℐℴℯℓ ℳ. ℂℌAT ✐ 18:59, 11 August 2010 (UTC)

Organges

I used to live in Florida (Miami, Carol City, Hialeah, Opa-locka, etc.) and am more than fond of oranges (clementines, tangerines, and tangelos as well). I was told when I lived down there that my color tastes were more suitable for a Miccosukee than for a white guy; this was a little embarassing only because I've got Cherokee ancestors, and they didn't get along well with the ancestors of the Miccosukee. --Orange Mike | Talk 13:07, 11 August 2010 (UTC)

Interesting stuff. :) I have a deaf friend who is decedents of Native Americans. Her parents, or a parent, is are Natives from Texas.

'This article is being considered for deletion' Template

Hi Zoohouse,

When does that big, red, offensive message go away? I'm kind of developing a paranoia and hatred for it (both at the same time).

Jeff Noloader (talk) 19:18, 11 August 2010 (UTC)

Short answer: 1 week.
We are supposed to debate for seven days whether we should delete it or keep it. Then an admin moseys along, checks it out and closes the issue based on the general consensus.
Of course there is no chance that this article will be deleted. I was tempted to use the Snowball Clause which states:
But since I became involved with the article, it would look bad if I closed the issue. Of course that doesn't mean you can't find someone else to do it. ;)
Probably the best thing though is just to let it run it's course to avoid putting off the wrong impression. -- ℐℴℯℓ ℳ. ℂℌAT ✐ 20:07, 11 August 2010 (UTC)

Crypto++ Introduction

The Crypto++ introduction edits are very nice. I wanted to make both myself, but deferred so it did not appear I was being stand off-ish. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Noloader (talkcontribs) 19:37, 11 August 2010 (UTC)
