Saina Nehwal[edit]

I’m absolutely not sure what is going on here’, but deleting large chunks of the article and then re-adding them is not the way to go. You may want to consider leaving an explanation in the edit summary. Good luck. Kleuske (talk) 14:38, 21 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, i just splitted slides which were merged before and that made difficult for reading so i did that. No Matter is deleted.  Zoglophie (talk) 14:48, 21 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Do not change MOS:ORDER. I told you once not to add anything below the External links and categories section. Next time I'll mass revert your edits. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 15:09, 22 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Zoglophie, actually i feel confused with your edits on the article since you deleting then re-adding the statement, also by removing the section which makes the article's aesthetics even worse. It would be nice if you use the preview button, so you can check if there any mistakes than publishing them one by one. The logo in the medal templates should be removed for the uniformity of badminton related articles, and in another sportspeople articles also did not use the logo in medal templates. Fyi, Republic of China (Taiwan) athletes compete as Chinese Taipei in sporting events. I also already listed some badminton players to refer as comparison in head-to-head (see: User:Stvbastian/sandbox#Women's singles). I hope this may help and prevent your edits being reverted. Marr Ji-hyun moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Marr Ji-hyun, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. March 2020[edit]

Information icon Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit you made to Chen Yufei, did not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. This is warning level 1 for deleting and changing large statement without consensus, adding information based on personal preference, and publishing the same article (especially in the same article section) several times in quick succession.  It is not only happened in Chen Yufei page, but also in Saina Nehwal, P. V. Sindhu, Carolina Marín, Kirsty Gilmour, Cheng Shao-chieh, Zhang Ning, Li Xuerui, Ratchanok Intanon, Tai Tzu-ying and etc. Stvbastian (talk) 13:01, 3 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

What? There was no column earlier related to Chen Yufei's h2h data. Check it and then talk to me. Zoglophie (talk) 13:12, 3 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Question related to Li Xuěruì, Carolina Marin and Zhang Ning. You people are active on Wikipedia for more than 1 year, still, you haven't created any Table related to H2H in these player's Wikipedia page. Now, you are questioning me on why i created that column? That's utterly ridiculous! Zoglophie (talk) 13:16, 3 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I did not talk about creating or not creating the table, but mostly per Wikipedia rules H:PREVIEW as i said before in my talk page. I also suggested you for using the list of players which qualified as comparison in h2h but you continuously use ur personal preference data. And as the results for your edit, the example we can see in Chen Yufei: Revision history, you added 4,793 bytes then you removed 1,797 bytes in just 21 minutes. Stvbastian (talk) 13:50, 3 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Those Bytes which were removed, were added by me only earlier because of copy paste. Actually, those players never competed with Chen Yufei and hence i removed it. There was no such column anywhere in her page stating records against players. Please look carefully of other players too.. Zoglophie (talk) 13:56, 3 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Therefore you received this warning. You haven't confirmed the information and immediately published that without using the preview button H:PREVIEW. So, I hope you don't continue that behavior, then you will not receive warning level 3 and will not be blocked from Wikipedia. Stvbastian (talk) 14:12, 3 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Players order on Record against selected opponents section[edit]

Hi Zoglophie, since we put flag before name in "Record against selected opponents" section, i think the alphabetical order of list should be country first, then players surname/last name, then players first name. You can check the example of the order here: User:Stvbastian/sandbox#Women's singles. Stvbastian (talk) 18:18, 4 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Ok Thanks for letting me know this. I will arrange it later. Your help needed too! Zoglophie (talk) 18:22, 4 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I just improved your edits in He Bingjiao career section. We must maintain the consistency in writing articles, words that doesnt need to use capital letters, dash (–) in score, avoid use abbreviations for SF and QF, PQF must be clear whether it's the first or second round, and linking to related articles (only link one page if we found two or more same page in one paragraph). You can see the difference between revisions here: He Bingjiao: Difference between revisions. I hope you will be better in your next edits. Thank you Stvbastian (talk) 19:44, 4 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I have trouble in linking article to sites, i can follow all your remaining instructions for betterment in Editing. Thanks. Zoglophie (talk) 20:00, 4 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Based on your edits in P. V. Sindhu, i want to give you some tips for your edits.
  • For website inline citation you can check some examples in Template:Cite web.
  • Consistency in writing (letters that doesnt need to capitalized just like knockout phase, group, QF->quarter finals), (Tai Tzu-ying not Tai Tzu Ying or Tai tzu-ying,  you still use Taiwan as her country representation).
  • Since you did not linking the page just like 2019 French Open (badminton), it just needs to be written as 2019 French Open.
  • Use dash (–) in score not minus (-).
  • The Olympic, BWF, Asian Games and CGF logo in medal templates should be removed.
  • In record against selected opponents section, Japanese name usually used their surname in the last, so we must ordered them based on their surname not first name. And for the uniformity in badminton related articles, can we just use the same color in the "Change" column? just like in Carolina Marín or Nozomi Okuhara articles.
I hope you can check and fix the page. Thank you. Stvbastian (talk) 07:35, 6 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't link colors with the uniformity in Articles because there is no different color used in the Article. Somewhere it is red, somewhere it is pink but it doesn't mean that there is discrimination happening to other players. It is not at all problematic. Exactly, 'minus' should be used to indicate the difference or change in the head to head of players just like how 'plus' is used. Thanks.  Zoglophie (talk) 07:53, 6 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Yes we need to reach the consensus for the uniformity in badminton related articles, that also applies in color code. I still dont understand why are capitalized the first letters of Knockout Phase, Group, and Quarterfinals (read Wikipedia rules for unnecessary capitalization: MOS:CAPS). For Tai Tzu-ying name sometimes you spelled as Tai Tzu Ying or Tai tzu-ying, it should be fixed. For website inline citation already fixed by User:Fylindfotberserk. One more point, while you are editing in career section you should support an inline citation to a reliable, published source, in every statement that you adding. Whether the material is negative, positive, neutral, or just questionable—should be removed immediately and without waiting for discussion (read: WP:BLP). Stvbastian (talk) 09:12, 6 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Haha yes we need to reach the consensus for that. It is actually creating unnecessary tension. That's why i am editing regularly to fix those errors. If i will spot them, i will definitely correct that. I surely try to insert citations, but sometimes it doesn't accept that link and i have to search for another link. It will surely take some time that's how human functions. Zoglophie (talk) 09:37, 6 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

As i see, you still have problems with name order in the table. Most of Wikipedia articles sorting the name alphabetically by surname first. And fyi, Denmark and Japan badminton players usually put their surname after first name. For example in Zhou Mi article, the Denmark players order should Tine Baun first, then Camilla Martin, then Mette Sørensen. And for Saina Nehwal and P. V. Sindhu articles, the Japanese players order should Mitani first, then Okuhara, then Yamaguchi.
Another point, if players ever competed in 2 country, please verified players career representation. Just like in Gong Ruina article, you put Zhou Mi in Hong Kong and China flag, but after i check, Gong Ruina never met Zhou Mi as Hong Kong player. Gong retired from international tournament in 2005, while Zhou moved to Hong Kong in 2007. So, the Hong Kong flag of Zhou Mi in Gong Ruina article should be removed. You should also check career representation of Huang Chia-chi, Pi Hongyan, Xu Huaiwen, and Mia Audina, to prevent confusion for the readers. Stvbastian (talk) 19:21, 10 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

some advice, guide and question[edit]

In Lee Young-suk article

  • Do not put dash in South Korean.
  • While you cite the reference from the website or url, do not change the title of the website or url with your preference, and try to put every single information about the website (Read: WP:CITEWEB), by using complete template (example of some template, see: Template:Cite web).
  • In the medal template in infobox, arrange the tournament or championships from the higher to lower event. The Sudirman Cup is higher than the Asian Games. You can take an example from Lin Dan article about the order of the tournament or championships in medal template.
  • In Achievements section of single articles (without a new page of further career statistics), you can follow Saina Nehwal page for the uniformity in badminton related articles. Make sure the structure of the section, which tournament should be included in the section, order of tournament, and color code. In your edit, you put the team result of 1989 Sudirman Cup in Achievement section, but i think the team result should be removed from the section, you can adding Career section to explain about that with reference or adding Performance timeline section for player career in as a part of national team.
  • In IBF Grand Prix Tournaments sub section, may i know the meaning of two different color in the table? And the references that said 1988 Polish Open was part of the IBF Grand Prix? Because, i have tried to verify about the 1988 IBF Grand Prix tournament, but there were no references said that 1988 Polish Open was part of the IBF Grand Prix (see World Badminton Grand Prix 1988).
  • Since you are created the page, you should doing factual verification and try to find reliable sources while editing. You put —NA— in the opponent and score, but the the information available in some sources. (See :Denmark Open 1987: LYS vs Chun Sung-suk 11–3, 11–5, and Hong Kong Open 1988 LYS vs Han Aiping8–11, 11–1, 11–8).
  • In your next edits, please take some time to find reliable sources to support every statement that you adding in Wikipedia. Stvbastian (talk) 12:38, 17 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Whoops that's too much, i need your help!  Zoglophie (talk) 12:46, 17 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thankyou, as i didn't found the Results of some tournaments, i put –NA– so that people like you can assist me the source. Thanks. Zoglophie (talk) 12:47, 17 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

of course i will try to assist you in editing badminton related articles. I deliberately reveal the things above before correcting your edits, to tell you things that need attention, so you can apply them in your next edits. In your edit here: Lee Young-suk: Difference between revisions, may i know your reason why Denmark, Hong Kong, Indonesia, and Polish Open had different color code with other tournaments?
And about citing a reference, you only filled the title and url, then you cut or change the title of the article from the website. so, please filled more information that available from the website to the template. Here are some parameters that you should filled while citing a source:
  • url= (url address of an online location where the text of the publication named by title can be found)
  • title= (title of source page on website, don't cut or change the title)
  • last= (surname of a single author)
  • first= (given or first names of author)
  • date= (date of source being referenced)
  • website= (title of website)
  • publisher=(name of publisher, the company that publishes the work being cited)
  • access-date=(the date that the URL was found to be working and to support the text being cited)
As you know, there were only few editors that participated in badminton related articles. therefore, it would be great if you do things that no longer need to be edited by other editors. Stvbastian (talk) 16:44, 17 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Major changes with the intention of merging without discussion[edit]

Hi Zoglophie, please do not making a major change to an article without any discussion as you did to Li Xuerui and Li Xuerui career statistics (see: WP:CAUTIOUS). especially with the intention of merging. You should proposing a merger to start a discussion. You should wait until the discussion are concluded then you can merge or not merge the article (see: WP:MERGE). Stvbastian (talk) 11:53, 24 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Edits on P. V. Sindhu[edit]

It seems like you made quite a few edits to the P. V. Sindhu article. Firstly, please read up on MOS:SURNAME as that's the policy for referring to people. I.e., unless you know her personally (which still is irrelevant anyway), you always refer to people by their last name (surname). Also, please make sure to consolidate your edits into larger ones so that there aren't 100+ edits in the history. Getsnoopy (talk) 22:50, 31 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

MOS:LAYOUT[edit]

Please do not put infobox after the introduction (see: MOS:LAYOUT). You did the wrong layout order in Wang Pengren and Sun Yu (badminton) articles. Stvbastian (talk) 15:53, 12 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry but Sun Yu's article is up to the mark. You can compare it with any good badminton article. Intro>Infobox>some more info>then separate sections. Is it doesn't like that? Please enlighten  me where it's wrong. And in Wang Pengren's case, it really has no content in it. I can remove my edits in it but it will not help as it has no content what so ever. Not even personal information. Thanks Zoglophie (talk) 17:51, 12 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

And i didn't put infobox in  Sun Yu article. I added 1 section and retirement detail. Does it affect the infobox anyway .  Zoglophie (talk) 17:54, 12 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Basically, all badminton articles start with infobox then followed by introduction, and i cant find any articles start with intro first then infobox, as you referred. 1. In Wang Pengren page, you should moved infobox in the top of the article, then followed by introduction. 2. In Sun Yu page, based on this revision history 1 and 2, you have messed up the order layout of the article. The article already looks good now because i already fixed it. You should pay attention to what was reverted or edited again from another users for edits you made, so you don't make the same mistakes.
And for the third time I say to you about your writing style, do not use capital letters in words that do not need to use capital letters (read:MOS:CAPS). Stvbastian (talk) 01:59, 13 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Recent edit reversion[edit]

In this edit here,  I reverted some information that appears to be a violation of our copyright policy.

I provided a brief summary of the problem in the edit summary, which should be visible just below my name. You can also click on the "view history" tab in the article to see the recent history of the article. This should be an edit with my name, and a parenthetical comment explaining why your edit was reverted. If that information is not sufficient to explain the situation, please ask.S Philbrick(Talk) 10:54, 17 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Junior tournament[edit]

To convince you, i provide some reference that said Chaiwan won the U-19 Pembangunan Jaya Raya Junior International Grand Prix 2017 here: [1], [2]. May i know which BWF site said that An Se-young won the U-19 Pembangunan Jaya Raya Junior International Grand Prix 2017?

And fyi, U17, U15, and U13 tournaments were not part or sanctioned by BWF. The tournament prospectus said that BWF only sanctioned the U19 event (example: [3], [4]). And all the tournament that you put in An Se-young article were not U-19 events. The section title is BWF Junior International  that means all the data in the table only includes the BWF sanctioned event. Stvbastian (talk) 19:56, 4 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Actually An Se-young is winner of U17 & Pattarsuda Chaiwan is winner of U19. (In same tournament)

https://bwfbadminton.com/results/2825/pembangunan-jaya-raya-international-junior-grand-prix-2017-u19/podium

This was causing confusion. Stvbastian. Zoglophie (talk) 20:20, 4 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Fyi, for Singaporean players like Jia Wei Joel Koh should be displayed as Joel Koh (english-chinese surname format) per Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Badminton#Inconsistent Spelling of Names. Another examples: Jia Heng Jason Teh -> Jason Teh, Yue Yann Jaslyn Hooi -> Jaslyn Hooi. Stvbastian (talk) 19:48, 5 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Singaporean name format is confusing, let me correct it. Zoglophie (talk) 19:50, 5 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Xiaodong Sheng[edit]

  • The problem in Xiaodong Sheng article is not about the order of the name (surname after given name or given name after surname), but you gave wrong information to the readers by adding wrong Chinese character. I dont know where you found this character: 晓东生 as Xiaodong Sheng Chinese name. Ive tried to searching this character 晓东生 in google search, but cant found any article that talks about Xiaodong Sheng badminton players.
  • Remove handedness, Xiaodong Sheng article is a biographies of living persons article, and per WP:BLP said: "We must get the article right. Be very firm about the use of high-quality sources. All quotations and any material challenged or likely to be challenged must be supported by an inline citation to a reliable, published source. Contentious material about living persons (or, in some cases, recently deceased) that is unsourced or poorly sourced—whether the material is negative, positive, neutral, or just questionable—should be removed immediately and without waiting for discussion. Users who persistently or egregiously violate this policy may be blocked from editing."
  • About reference. I replaced all primary sources that you adding to the secondary sources that available. Wikipedia rules WP:PSTS said: "Wikipedia articles should be based on reliable, published secondary sources and, to a lesser extent, on tertiary sources and primary sources." And WP:GNG point 2 said:" Reliable means that sources need editorial integrity to allow verifiable evaluation of notability, per the reliable source guideline. Sources may encompass published works in all forms and media, and in any language. Availability of secondary sources covering the subject is a good test for notability." WP:GNG point 3:"Sources should be secondary sources, as those provide the most objective evidence of notability. There is no fixed number of sources required since sources vary in quality and depth of coverage, but multiple sources are generally expected. Sources do not have to be available online or written in English. Multiple publications from the same author or organization are usually regarded as a single source for the purposes of establishing notability."
  • I mentioned you in the edit summaries, to let you know the differences between my edit and your edit, so you will not repeat the same mistakes. Stvbastian (talk) 12:30, 10 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

BWF/IBF[edit]

Hi, i just want to let you know that Badminton World Federation (BWF) name established since 24 September 2006, the 2006 badminton tournament from January to December 2006 still part of IBF World Grand Prix calendar, with format of 1* to 6* level tournaments. The BWF Superseries and World Grand Prix tournaments established since 2007. So, please take a look your edit in Zhang Ning article. I see that you separate 2006 Chinese Taipei Open to another section with title BWF World Grand Prix, and you included 2006 Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Japan Open's to Superseries section. I hope you can rearrange the tournament. (See also: World Badminton Grand Prix 2006). Stvbastian (talk) 21:42, 28 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Linking article and country flag representation[edit]

Hi Zoglophie, please be careful while linking to article target and adding country flag as badminton players representation. As you did to James Anderson (badminton), you linked to wrong target Irish International that established in 2012, the target should be Irish Open (badminton) (notes: There were some tournament that confused readers and editors such as Finnish Open (badminton) and Finnish International (badminton) est. 2014; Polish Open (badminton) and Polish International est. 2012; etc.). And for country flag as badminton players representation, you added SCO flag next to Robert Blair (badminton) in 2002 Austrian International, but actually, Blair competed for England from 2001 until 2010; and WAL flag next to Neil Cottrill in 1993 Czech International, but actually, Cottrill represented England at that time until 1996. So, next time please doing factual verification before publishing an article. Stvbastian (talk) 08:33, 25 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

1986 Badminton World Cup moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, 1986 Badminton World Cup, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. John B123 (talk) 15:44, 24 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@John B123: It does have enough sources. No information is wrong, you can verify, I have put enough citations there. Zoglophie (talk) 16:05, 24 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. There are no inline citations just a list of sources at the bottom. Previous articles you have created, such as 1990 Badminton World Cup have been tagged with {{more footnotes}} but this seems to have had no effect. From Wikipedia:Verifiability: ... must include an inline citation that directly supports the material. --John B123 (talk) 16:32, 24 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@John B123: ok it's done now. Zoglophie (talk) 16:41, 24 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Some badminton editing info[edit]

Hi Zoglophie, while you editing article related to badminton, please help me to arrange or edit:

  • Only linking one target in a section. ex: There were 2 Nozomi Okuhara names in P. V. Sindhu BWF World Tour section, so we only linking the first Nozomi Okuhara to a link target.
  •   Men's and women's doubles pair order based on alphabetical surname order (sentences in career section or tables in achievement section). ex: Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa, so we should write Jwala Gutta first then Ashwini Ponnappa; Yoo Yeon-seong and Lee Yong-dae, Lee Yong-dae first then Yoo Yeon-seong.
  • Achievements order: earliest-to-latest chronological order.

I hope you can help. Thanks.Stvbastian (talk) 19:12, 25 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

March 2021[edit]

Hi.

On Carolina Marin’s edit history, you wrote : “Correct phrasing. She was no. 1 for 66 weeks but it is certainly not a 'record'. Tai Tzu-ying, Li Xuerui, Wang Yihan were no. 1 for most weeks. Record is officially holded by Tai Tzu-ying for 148+ weeks. And, she is one of the bests in Women's singles. “

The last line shows your predisposition or editorial  leaning towards a specific player. Wikipedia articles are made with valuable contributions of users like you. Neutrality forms the pillar of this platform. It’s welcoming to see your legit edits, but at the same time, it’s upto you to see that you maintain the non-bias principles of Wikipedia.

Just to remind, for an example, contrary to your claims, your ‘one of the bests in Womens singles’ hasn’t won a single medal in the Olympics. There are just so many parameters, it’s the BWF that decides, not you and I.

I say this again, Wikipedia is for everyone. Totally admiring your edits and hard work. Please don’t take this otherwise. Kudos! Harshv7777 (talk) 13:28, 8 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Based on your edits and paragraph you wrote above, you seem to lean towards a specific player when you edit. Please don't edit while you are logged out Harshv7777 it may be considered as sockpuppetery by some editors. Thank you.  Zoglophie 14:02, 8 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

My last statement was misunderstood by you if I was taking about Tai. It's very obvious, I wrote about Marin as one of the greatest in Women's singles and that is widely accepted. Also, I added it in hatnote. But your phrase goes like in Women's circuit. For your information, Women's circuit not only includes singles but also doubles. Please read about Gao Ling, Huang Sui, Zhao Yunlei, Yu Yang and many others. She's not the greatest yet.  Zoglophie 14:13, 8 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, again. Please be specific, those edits are not mine. It might be you doing that in your null times, not me. Better to keep your advice to your side. And based on what I add, I add references next to it. You mind, you can, anyone can. An appropriate reason will be welcoming. Blaming someone else’s edits on someone else won’t work. And yes, the statement was meant to be misunderstood, please elaborate well from the next time. Third and last, I do not preferebly do biased notions as you do. I take mutual respect amongs fellow Wikipedians as a standard. That’s what the principle says. You should learn too. The extended confirmed tag needs to be earned, prove yourself worthy of one too. Thanks! Harshv7777 (talk) 17:55, 8 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Also, just for the icing of the cake, I’m an Indian. Had I been predisposed, you would’ve found me on PV Sindhu’s or Saina’s page, adding ‘paragraphs’ as you say. I write what independent sources state, not my own thoughts. And a small request, please improve a little english, if you don’t mind, like how to spell and when to use capital and small letters, I can’t keep correcting typos of yours on English Wiki always. Harshv7777 (talk) 18:34, 8 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Harshv7777 I am also from India and thanks for correction, with all due respect. And, maybe you have misunderstood the statement, but did you see what I edited in Carolina Marin's page? She's great, she has so many major championships. Just tell me if my edit was controversial or something. But what you did? You made her greatest in badminton circuit which is clearly not the case. Wikipedia is not based on your personal preference! Just to remind you, in this edit, while you were logged out.

Secondly Harsh you are not entitled for extended confirmed rights because you rarely edit, you have made this many edits until now. You don't know about any other player except Marin and I'm saying this based on your edits. Have you read about Lin Dan, Park Joo-bong, Ge Fei and many other players? You don't know anything, maybe you can start editing majorly in badminton related articles and then will stop your "Marin is greatest rant". Extended confirmed right is definitely earned and I've this right for past 11 months. My contributions are all unbiased until now. I don't have any one-sided opinion for any player. And you're free to explore through my edits and don't attack personally when you're caught socking.  Zoglophie 20:36, 8 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Good to know fellow Indian. Yes, I rarely edit Wikipedia. I told that before. I said you should prove yourself worthy of that extended batch. I don’t need it, had I been so eager about that, I would’ve easily got that. Anyone can get that badge, you just have to make a specific number of edits. I was saying that it’s you who needs to keep up that Wikipedian gesture, and in your editings, presumably those are not reflected. Admins see this very well, and your behaviour and aptitude is what makes it all. Secondly, blaming someone else’s edits on someone to escape your part is so much childish of you. Your self proclaimed “unbiased contributions” are very self explanatory. It’s you who’s been taking it personally, I’ve been talking of Wiki principles since Day one. I appreciate your editings, don’t mind anything. Harmony between Wikipedians is the core of this platform. By the way, I know about Lin Dan more than you could ever know. I have specific areas of occasional editing, rather than just goofing every article with some bad english like someone else. Not continuing this ahead. Kudos! Harshv7777 (talk) 05:01, 9 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Again, you're residing to personally attack someone Harshv7777, at first you said, "maybe this is what you do in your null times" and now this "childish thing". Harsh, you don't keep editing continuously for an year when your opinion has some bias in it or you are particular about some player(s). Given my contributions, it's safe to say I've been unbiased and I already said you, go through my edits and please just stop your nonsensical allegations upon fellow wikipedian.

It's good you have many interests but for me it is only one, rarely it can be for some other topic. My English do have some grammatical errors but it's certainly not so bad. My way of editing is through references, not by any personal opinion. If you're so concerned, you can join some improvement projects in Wikipedia and build your trust among Wikipedians, not assuming bad faith editing. And, I'm not interested in pampering someone in my talk page who came here to reflect their prejudice in some article and attacking in personal terms. If you're not so eager about extended confirmed right so what can be done for that? But what you are doing is to assert your baseless claims again and again. If you are so eager to establish "Harmonious" terms with me or some body else in Wikipedia, you're most welcome. Only if you assure of putting an end to your egoistic and prejudiced behaviour.  Zoglophie 05:35, 9 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Autopatrolled granted[edit]

Hi Zoglophie, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the "autopatrolled" permission to your account, as you have created numerous, valid articles. This feature will have no effect on your editing, and is simply intended to reduce the workload on new page patrollers. For more information on the autopatrolled right, see Wikipedia:Autopatrolled. However, you should consider adding relevant wikiproject talk-page templates, stub-tags and categories to new articles that you create if you aren't already in the habit of doing so, since your articles will no longer be systematically checked by other editors (User:Evad37/rater and User:SD0001/StubSorter.js are useful scripts which can help). Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! Cabayi (talk) 09:41, 5 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Lene Køppen[edit]

Here are my revisions in Lene Køppen article:

  • remove some |- code. doesn't need to repeat |- code to make a new line
  • correcting invalid break – such as </br>, < br>, or </ br> – to <br /> WP:LINEBREAK
  • use break code for long venue name (or in doubles table, which disturbs the aesthetics of the list), not for city and country
  • doubles players order (for men's doubles and women's doubles) should be ordered according to their surname
  • disambiguation pages: Preston
  • IBF did not separate open tournaments and IBF International. There were no tournament classification until IBF Grand Prix in 1983.

I hope your edits will be better in the next article. Stvbastian (talk) 02:08, 19 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Yes we should use |- code to make a new line (to separate one tournament from another), but sometimes, we repeating that in two consecutive lines. repetition |- code usually occurs when the table with a background color. for ex. sometimes we add |- above |- style="background:xxx. But, after i check, Hiroe Yuki article looking good right now. Addition: in Gillian Gilks: u still use Preston disambiguation pages, 1983 WD World Championships Lin Ying first then Wu Dixi. Just like in Hwang Hye-young article, there were some errors in doubles players order (ex. 1991 WD World Championships Guan Weizhen first then Nong Qunhua; WD Asian Championships Kim Yun-ja first then Yoo Sang-hee, Gil Young-ah then Shim Eun-jung; and also some doubles players order in IBF World Grand Prix section). Sania Nehwal[edit]

Hello. I noticed the message you left on my talk page and I would like to correct your assessment. You claimed I that I did not provide a reason for a removal I made from the Sania Nehwal page. I did mention the reason for removal of said content. The content being referred to is the mention of her affiliation to a political party in the middle of her Women's singles infobox. This infobox was not the correct location to display this information. Her political affiliations were mentioned further down in the page and she has not held any political office till date. This is why I did not make a new infobox entry for this information. No information was actually removed from the page, I only removed the misplaced content from her infobox. Could you please confirm if I made a mistake in my conduct or if this was an oversight on your end.

Allahabad move[edit]

Just a heads up that you should ping all the editors who commented in the RfC, not just the ones that supported the move. Otherwise, it looks like WP:CANVASSING. --RegentsPark (comment) 18:22, 20 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • RegentsPark no problem in that. It's just because some people failed to convince why requested move should not be done. They were unable to refute those arguments presented. 🌌Zoglophie🌌 18:38, 20 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I get your point. But, most likely, the ones who did not want the RM don't want to change the name. That's why it doesn't look good if you only ping the ones who supported the RM. --RegentsPark (comment) 20:09, 20 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Kindly Stop editing Pramod Bhagat information as that information is wrong and fake news are spreading.

October 2021[edit]

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Pramod Bhagat shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period.  Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert.  Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. David Biddulph (talk) 08:56, 3 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • David Biddulph I see you are very quick in warning. Fine. Revert it back to the stable version as the user clearly removed references and is inserting information to Article how he wanted it. For me, I'm following Talk page discussion. Thet reverted 4 times so shouldn't they be blocked ? zoglophie

Edit warring and consensus[edit]

Hi Zoglophie. I saw your comment at AN3. Generally, you can't argue that someone is posting incorrect information and edit war to remove it, even if you're doing so in good faith. Instead, try to form consensus on the article talk page or seek some sort of dispute resolution. --RegentsPark (comment) 15:43, 3 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

colours without context in tables in article[edit]

Re reversion on Akane Yamaguchi. If the colours are used for indicating level then a legend is needed, as well as some other means per Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Accessibility#Color "Ensure that color is not the only method .. do not use colored text or background unless its status is also indicated using another method, such as an accessible symbol matched to a legend, or footnote labels." PROD removal[edit]

Can you explain why you removed my PRODs on 4 pages without adding any sources? Notability isn't based on achievements, you need sources to prove it. Such a topic which has no coverage should NOT have its own article. Anyway I am AFDing those articles. Timothytyy (talk) 00:05, 19 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

After reading your edit summary, I assume you don't know that notability is based primarily on GNG? People with achievements are not notable if it fails SIGCOV, and in these cases, no secondary coverage at all? I know you think it passes SNG, but it just cannot supercede GNG. Please stop saying my afds of subjects which have zero coverage are notable. Thank you. Timothytyy (talk) 10:41, 19 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Regarding Afds, don't post comments in my talk page. You have solely done what you think is right without asking for opinions at Project talk page. NBAD just includes grand prix and world tour tournaments, but has no formal guideline for top continental and world championship medalists, as the notability of people winning those medals is never in question. Don't tell me what I need to say at Afd, it goes both ways. zoglophie 11:06, 19 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I think you misunderstood my purpose. I am saying here because you reverted my taggings and responded so much in my recent AFDs simultaneously. I assume "solely done what you think is right" is my action of AFDing, however I don't need your pressure on me to keep SIGCOV-failing badminton articles. Can you see the consensus at the WP:NSPORT talk page? They want to strike NBAD, because NBAD is just so useless as so many NBAD-passing articles fail GNG, which is the pillar of notability. You think NBAD is only for this WikiProject? Badminton-related articles don't need to pass GNG??? My action of ignoring those users is helping the WikiProject, not doing what I think is right without asking for opinions at Project talk page (which I believe is unnecessary for AFDs). Anyway, you and Stvbastian are the only ones who still insist on achievement-based "notability"; I strongly recommend you two to stop protecting badminton biographies which has no coverage, as all non-WikiProject Badminton extreme users will notice the problem of relying on achievements. I suggest you to read the general notability guideline, the SNG (which includes NBAD) guideline, the BASIC guideline and the BIO guideline, instead of sticking in the small world of badminton and attempting to create badminton-related guidelines by yourself. It's time to get familiar with Wikipedia, not only concentrating on WikiProject Badminton, knowing no notability guidelines except NBAD and keep opposing badminton-related AFDs without knowing the pillar of Wikipedia.
P.S. I am AFDing many articles because I am currently taking NPPS. After my good and experienced teacher Cassiopeia taught me, I realized that NBAD does not contribute to a single bit of notability. Regarding NBAD, it isn't accurate anymore even if you add grade 1 tournaments. You still don't understand the purpose of NBAD, you think everything that passes NBAD warrants an article.
One last conclusion: Notability is about SIGCOV, not about achievements. NBAD can just provide guidance about whether SIGCOV likely exist, if there is no SIGCOV found online then why is it notable? If you have any objections, I can ask the experienced NPP Cassiopeia to explain this situation to you. You can still object my AFDs, keep calm. I just want you to have full knowledge about the guidelines before anyone questions you about not knowing the guidelines outside NBAD later. Timothytyy (talk) 11:51, 19 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Reviewing/patrolling a page doesn't take much time but it requires a good understanding of Wikipedia policies and guidelines; Wikipedia needs experienced users to perform this task and there are precious few with the appropriate skills. Even a couple reviews a day can make a huge difference.
  • Kindly read the tutorial before making your decision (if it looks daunting, don't worry, it basically boils down to checking CSD, notability, and title). If this looks like something that you can do, please consider joining us.
