Scoring layout in the playoff template[edit]

Just a heads up, please check/fix your layout edits on 2018 Calder Cup playoffs so they are more like this so as they match the home/away team sides. The time of score should always be to the inside (which is also to match 2018 Stanley Cup playoffs). Otherwise, thank you for your contributions. Yosemiter (talk) 04:59, 22 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Nice job on the fixes. Per your edit here, what you were missing was the --> to close out the <!-- before John McCarron. This is a comment mark-up that can be used to hide info, in this case, players that were in the Top 10 and can still return to the Top 10. It makes it easier to just move the player lines around (in this case Kyle Bonis returned to the list from #12) and all we need to do is hide those below (John McCarron to Michael Kirkpatrick). Here is the same edit using that technique. Yosemiter (talk) 14:17, 3 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Assistance with editing NHL teams season pages[edit]

Hi Xolkan. Thank you for your contributions to some of the NHL teams season pages, as it saves me a few minutes of my time from editing. I was just curious if you would be alright with assisting me with editing all of the NHL teams season pages regularly. It's just that I am the only contributor that edits all 31 NHL team pages on a regular basis, and I often stay up late to make sure that every page has been updated as of the most recent date. I am asking you this because I have liked the work that I have seen from you, and it would be really great if you would not mind helping me out. If you would like more details, you can head over to my talk page and shoot me a message. Keep up the great work! Yowashi (talk) 01:13, 8 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

IIHF U20 Division III[edit]

I appreciate your contributions on the page, and related pages. The reason I reverted you was because Belgium can still come last and be relegated. Although Israel can finish in a 3-way tie for last, they cannot come last in that tie-breaker so they were added to the group for 2020. If you have any questions about this please ask.18abruce (talk) 00:23, 20 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Concerns of editing NHL Canadian Teams Stats[edit]

Hi Xolkan, I have concerns of how Yowashi and I edit hockey teams. We are frequently making incorrect information because of where we are getting the stats from and how I put the numbers in. Sometimes, I misplace the numbers because of where I get it from is from the team stats. Yowashi's source of the stats information comes from the regular season stats on website and sometimes, its not immediately up to date. I wonder if you are willing to help us out because its getting much harder than I expected to update the stats since the bigger the numbers we are updating, the harder it is to keep track. Also, Yowashi thinks that I am always putting in incorrect information on stats, but it turns out Yowashi has had a handful of times that put in incorrect infromation from the stats when the website from the stats are not up to date before we update on wikipedia. NHL playoffs statistics[edit]

I saw that you updated the player statistics at 2018–19 New York Islanders season after the first game versus the Hurricanes. While the playoffs' schedule is not as intense as the regular season's, but it is better to update them after the series between the teams are over. I reverted the edit for now, but it could get reinstated if you are willing to discuss the matter. – Sabbatino (talk) 10:27, 28 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

2019 in sports[edit]

Please consider updating the whole motorsports section next time, not only a particular subsection of it. Despite the help of everyone is always welcomed on Wikipedia, the page requires a lot of work as it is now and if everyone starts updating only a particular subsection it could become increasingly messy. Thank you for your contribution. 151.53.249.3 (talk) 03:59, 17 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

2019–20 Vegas Golden Knights season[edit]

Thanks for catching my mistake. I knew that Smith and Stone had 4 goals, but I guess I just forgot to change it. I'll let you handle the Golden Knights page from now on as I keep making frequent errors. Yowashi (talk) 06:17, 14 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Player Statistics +/−[edit]

I notice you like to update the Golden Knights and Sabres stats and I have some advice that you would hopefully find helpful for the next time you update them. When updating player's +/−, use these minus signs (−) instead of the en dashes (–). The minus signs sorts the players that have negative +/−'s in a nice ascending or descending order, whereas the en dashes may have a player that is −16 ranked lower than a player that is −8 if the +/− is set in descending order, or vice versa. Hopefully this information helps. Yowashi (talk) 22:15, 26 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

NHL stats[edit]

My original plan was to not add stats for the American teams until the end of the regular season. But since you have added stats for multiple teams, you're going to have to keep them updated during the year because I'm not going to do it until the end of the season. Also, can you not edit the articles while I'm trying to edit? I appreciate you trying to help and stuff but it's frustrating when I'm trying to publish an edit and it has already been updated by you. If I haven't edited within the first hour after a game, you can edit them. Yowashi (talk) 02:17, 18 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Yowashi: I was going to update the stats on the Pittsburgh and Washington pages but I was thinking of doing them after every 5 games.

2020–21 NHL season major milestones[edit]

Please refer to this conversation when adding milestones for players as some of your recent additions come no where near the necessary standard. What you added is fine in team season articles but not the main league one. Deadman137 (talk) 18:17, 27 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

San Jose Sharks[edit]

Hey, The game on 4/23 against Vegas has been moved to 5/10. I don’t know what the proper procedure is so could you please help me out and move it. And could you please help me out by keeping the game log up to date after every game please?

Thanks. GoWarriors151718 (talk) 06:35, 15 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@GoWarriors151718: Hey, I myself have never moved a rescheduled game but I’ll take a look at it when I’m able to, unless another editor checks before I get to it. Regarding the game log, I’m only usually able to check that after 11:00 am (UTC), so if it doesn’t get updated before I get a chance to, I can do it. Xolkan (talk) 12:45, 15 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Xolkan

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Taking Out The Trash, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I’ve proposed an article that you started, Arnaud Durandeau, for deletion because it's a biography of a living person that lacks references. To prevent the deletion, please add a reference to the article. You may remove the deletion tag yourself once the article has at least one reliable source.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Taking Out The Trash}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Team categories on BLPs[edit]

Regarding your edit at Lars Eller. WP:NCIH does not apply to BLPs. I have already reverted it and just wanted to explain the guideline, because I see that you probably did not know about it. – sbaio 14:22, 2 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

IIHF[edit]

Hey thank you very much for your edits on the world championship articles. Do you think this year's added "Qualification for 2024 IIHF World Championship" in the box for 5 through 7 makes the use of 'E' more complicated? Or do you think that once more than one team is eliminated it will be obvious to people?18abruce (talk) 17:11, 20 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that one or more recent edit(s) you made did not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.

The edit summary field looks like this:

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → check Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary, and then click the "Save" button.
