Welcome to Wikipedia. Oh, okay! I see, I see. So the "U.S." was wrong according to the Manual of Style why? I'm confused. Is it because the style of the Degrassi page is Canadian English, not American English?Woolfy123 (talk) 23:33, 5 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Because the latest edition of the Chicago MOS says the use of periods has depreciated, and other forms of English (Degrassi related articles are written in Canadian) do not use periods. 117Avenue (talk) 23:47, 5 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, that's what I thought. So, even though Chicago MOS decided no one uses periods in "U.S.," on American-English pages, that's still acceptable, even based on the Manual of Style page "In American English, U.S. (with periods) is more common as the standard abbreviation for United States"? @CastJared, sorry, what did I do that was misleading? I corrected two split infinitives, which I was under the impression was fixing grammar. @CastJared, I genuinely did not think I was making a disruptive change or made a misleading change. I fixed split infinitives, but I can see how changing "to automatically" to "automate" may not necessarily carry the same connotations; however, my sole goal was to correct some common grammar issues without fundamentally changing the meaning, of course. How to report vandalism[edit]

Hi Woolfy123, thank you very much for reverting vandalism, for example in Special:Diff/1176334681.

When you encouter vandalism, please warn the user about the issue. You can open their user talk page and add {{subst:uw-vandalism1}}, {{subst:uw-vandalism2}}, {{subst:uw-vandalism3}} to the page, depending on which message you find fitting the situation. If warnings don't help, or in absolutely clear cases such as the one you have encountered, please directly report the user at WP:AIV. This would have prevented the user from continuing today.

How to undo multiple edits at once[edit]

Please use a desktop computer for dealing with vandalism, if you have any way to access a desktop computer. This allows you to view the article's history, click the timestamp of a good revision before the vandalism, then "Edit", and then simply save the page unmodified. This restores the good revision.
