wiki editor[edit]

Hi there.. We had a little conversation about Wikipedia Editing tools some while ago. And while I still do not use an external editor (haven't found a suitable one yet), wikEd seems to be quite O.K. Well, hope you are doing fine, greetings! Johnnyw talk 12:39, 14 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! I'll have to check it out. Wikidan829 13:28, 14 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: My signature[edit]

I do not know what you are talking about. I tested my talk page link in my signature and it works. I never even hinted to Bibliotheque that he/she should change his/her user name to Ionas68224.  Tcrow777  talk  21:09, 15 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The talk page link is supposed to be that way, see Help:Self link.  Tcrow777  talk  01:28, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Your link is that way: User talk:Wikidan829.  Tcrow777  talk  02:33, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I am just trying to say that interwiki links that link to the same page are just bolded text (example: User talk:Wikidan829 is bolded), these are called self links (for more information about self links, see: Help:Self link).  Tcrow777  talk  02:49, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Let me say this in the niceist possible way, I have read up on Wikipedia and seem to already know more about Wikipedia then you. However, you are right about one thing, I need to make more edits in the Mainspace.  Tcrow777  talk  03:03, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia:Signatures#Appearance and color does not mention red colored links, but don't WikiLawyer for someone else.  Tcrow777  talk  04:40, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tool at FAC[edit]

Hello Dan! Although I know that featured articles are probably meaningless to you, since in the end, they're just consisting of the same decaying electronically charged particles as any other article, I'd like to invite you to help me help you help yourself helping the Tool article gaining FA status. I'll list it at FAC tonight or tomorrow and it would be insane/awesome/a waste of time/disturbingly unpleasant if you could help me help you (help.. you get the idea ;) making the nomination succeed. Since I will be moving from Barcelona back to Berlin on Wednesday, I will most probably be very grateful for any spare minute you could spend on addressing any of the objections that the article will encounter. As soon as the article is listed, I'll post a talk topic at the Tool talk page. Thanks in advance, of course I will return the favor! Johnnyw talk 19:40, 19 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sure thing! I haven't been around in a while, but I will definitely keep an eye out. Wikidan829 02:49, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Belated response[edit]

You posted a question at Wikipedia talk:Tools. I've posted a belated response and thought I'd drop you a note since you might now be watchlisting the page any more. -- John Broughton (♫♫) 00:01, 6 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Blu-ray[edit]

We saw that you were interested in Blu-ray or Hi-def Discs and were wondering if you would like to join the Blu-ray Project. We are a WikiProject dedicated to improving the articles completely or partly within the scope of Blu-ray.

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:NGoScreenshot.PNG[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:NGoScreenshot.PNG. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 09:50, 7 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tagging of Brio Technology[edit]

I recently removed a speedy delete tag that you had placed on Brio Technology. I do not think that Brio Technology fits any of the speedy deletion criteria because assertion of notability present $150Million revenue, listing on stock exchange. I request that you consider not re-tagging Brio Technology for speedy deletion without discussing the matter on the appropriate talk page. You are, of course, free to tag the article with {{prod}} or nominate it at WP:AFD. Carlossuarez46 (talk) 04:16, 6 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image: if you created that little pivot table, rather than it being a sample provided by the software company, then tag it with {{pd-author}} to release it into the public domain and negate the copyright tags. I cannot believe that some grid lines is copyright material. :-) Carlossuarez46 (talk) 17:09, 6 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

For the screen shot: if it is not used in an article, it will be deleted. Fair use doesn't cover talk pages as best I can tell. Carlossuarez46 (talk) 17:11, 6 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

8mm feeder picture[edit]

Hi Wikidan829, No - not from a Contact machine (I assume you mean Contact Systems ?) but from a Juki KE series pick-and-place machine (Used on KE-740 and KE-2010 units amongst others). All the best- Peripitus (Talk) 22:33, 12 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on NumberGo requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Logical Cowboy (talk) 04:26, 21 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
