September 2015[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm C.Fred. I noticed that you recently removed some content from 39 Stripes without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; I restored the removed content. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. —C.Fred (talk) 20:50, 11 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I am trying to correct the info for 39 Stripes and was surprised all my hard work got erased. I am new to this and just wanting the correct info
If it is correct, then you also need to cite reliable sources so that we can verify the information. In your first set of edits, not only did you add unsourced material, but you also deleted sourced material. —C.Fred (talk) 21:06, 11 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I am the founder of 39 Stripes and was just learning to update the info and was going to leave sources as well. I appreciate you adding us but a lot of the info is not correct even from the sources posted for some reason. Can i be allowed to continue? Thanks!

Actually, no you may not. You may request edits to be made by leaving a message, including the reliable sources, at Talk:39 Stripes, but since you have a conflict of interest with the band, you should not edit its article directly. —C.Fred (talk) 21:10, 11 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Ok I will have someone else try and update. Sorry for the trouble. Was just trying to get up to date things listed. Thanks again.

I have reached out to some friends and fans to update info and I will send info with sources to the link you provided. I in no way meant to compromise Wiki at all and was just trying to fix some mistakes. It's an honor after 18 years of touring and recording to be on here and I appreciate it ;) We have a lot of great stories to tell and would like to see them posted over time. Thanks again for being diligent.
