Future WFTDA rankings[edit]
Howdy. With the announcement that next year the WFTDA will be eschewing Regions in favor of a top-40 ranking system, it strikes me that the current system of regional ranking tables will be obsolete. You're one of the few people that edits roller derby articles with any frequency, so I thought I'd raise this with you. (Past attempts at organizing consensus on derby things have been met with silence.) Mu thought is that it will be worth keeping the old ranking tables in league articles to show historical value, and add new sections for the new methodology going forward. WFTDA Region articles will also be kept I guess, changing the "ares" to "weres", etc. Regional tournaments will be replaced by non-region-specific tournaments, and as such, I don;t foresee new playoff tournaments getting separate articles; but there would, in my mind, be a new article each year for that year's playoffs, which would cover the 4 tournaments. - Sounds like a good plan to me, although I don't know exactly how the ranking will work - it's implied that there will be divisional rankings, but I'm not sure whether the might also be some regional rankings. Warofdreams talk 22:27, 18 November 2012 (UTC)

- So I had a little brainstorm today, and came up with a simple way to update the rankings tables in league articles going forward. See here: [3] Adding the region shortform suffix to the Q4 ranking when leagues were ranked regionally makes the distinction between former ranking systems and current. We may have to simply retitle the "Regional" column as "Playoffs", and not sure if it is viable to have articles for D1 and D2 tournaments going forward, since there's so many. What do you think? Crat statement draft[edit]
Hi Following the drama at BN, I'm trying to come up with a statement all Crats could agree to. Please take a look, below. I am quite content to do this onwiki -we have always worked transparently, except where secrecy is essential (ie RTV). I think we should be able to wordsmith a statement acceptable to all, and I think it's an important thing to do.
- In my opinion, this issue has come about through an unfortunate proliferation of documentation: policy, guideline, how-to etc
- I am not convinced that there is community consensus on all of the points encapsulated in those various pages
- I am unhappy at what may be described as some or all of: inconsistencies, inaccuracies or lack of clarity in that documentation
- I do not believe that any of the issues we have faced have been caused by Crats trying to widen their powers
- I would like to see the issues clarified, based on consensus, and for the documentation to be updated accordingly
- I'd like to thank Griot-de for generously withdrawing the rename request

Railway viaduct Herries Road[edit]
Hiya this page here gives the viaduct in S6 with a postcode of S6 1RH. However I've got no problem as I suspect the boundary goes right along the railway line on the top of the viaduct. Thanks Mick Knapton (talk) 18:44, 6 March 2013 (UTC)

Hi thanks for the compliment. Yes, I'd like to think we could finish all the photos for S6 some time soon, although there are usually certain ones that are difficult to find, difficult to photograph or just private (I did manage to find the Magazine at Hillsborough Barracks when on a shopping trip to Morrisons !!) but I'll see how it goes. I was out Fulwood the other day and can add some for S10 including the church, war memorial, cottages on Fulwood Road in the next few days. Also planning an article for Christ Church at Fulwood. Hi Warofdreams. The UK is participating in Wiki Loves Monuments for the first time this year, and the preparation involves updating the lists of listed buildings so they're complete and use templates that fit with the upload tools. You did great work on Grade I listed buildings in South Yorkshire, and I don't want to step on your toes so I'm checking with you before I touch it. The tables can be seen in action at Grade I listed buildings in Greater Manchester so we wouldn't lose any information from the list. The links in the 'list entry number' act as references, but I can copy across the references your list currently uses if you want. Would it be ok if I rolled out the templates on the South Yorkshire list? Nev1 (talk)

New Research Project[edit]
I recently uncovered an organization that is posting false information on wikipedia and then using that credibility to sell 'courses' of self improvement.
In ther research (Hundreds of citations at this point), we've found some fascinating tid bits, but they run directly against what this goup has been promoting since the 1950's (and to some degree since 1918). Given the duration of the organization and the fact that they ar still leveraging lies for personal gain, I expect there to be some attempts to undermine our effort.
Are there any preventative measure to take, awareness or pre-flagging the article so that administrators are aware? Also, is there a way we can connect with reliable editors that might be interested in helping us, especially with formating these citations so that they are easily and clearly accessible. Many references are from newspapers that are over 50 years old.

Sheffield area articles[edit]
Hi pal, thanks for adding the infobox for the Storrs, South Yorkshire article. I was wondering, in your role as an administrator who is interested in Sheffield articles, could you please have a look at the latest edit on the Stanedge Pole page, as I think it is personal opinion, unencyclopedic and also unreferenced. I have undone it once but it has been reverted by another ip address (probably the same person), could you give your opinion as I don't want to get into an edit war.
On another subject, there are only three photos needed to complete the Listed buildings in S6 page, Holdsworth Cottage is fairly private but I think a photo is possible, the boiler house at King Edward's is very private and access is by keypad, so that is probably not possible and lastly High Lea Cottage and Farmhouse, should be possible although I'm not 100% sure where it is and anyway I was wondering if it's in S35, as per this link here which gives it a postcode of S35 0DB.
