Allan Moffat[edit]

Is it wikipedia standard to not update nationality? Do we refer to drivers as being Rhodesian or East German or Yugoslav? Is Tomas Mezera Czechoslovakian? Is George Fury Hungarian? Is David Brabham British? Is Chris Alajajian Lebanese? Is Mario Andretti Italian? I ask for clarification, because that's a lot of changes.

Warnester here -- Firstly, I didnt make "alot" of changes, I made the same change four times. And that change was only to add a Canadian flag next to Moffat's name for the 4 times he was the winner of the Bathurst 1000. It is a well known fact that Moffat was born in Canada and moved to Australia to pursue his (very successful) racing career. Moffat only became an Australian citizen in 2004 (again a well known fact that wikipedia acknowledges in the article about him).

Think about it - if Carl Lewis moved to Sydney and takes up citizenship - does it change that he won numerous gold medals for the US at the Olympics? Do they suddently become "gold for Australia?" - of course not.

At the end of the day, if wikipedia is going to go to the trouble of having national flags next to the winning drivers names to represent their nationality - then at least get it right. Moffat raced as a Canadian citizen - a simple, and completely unrefutable fact -- W

Didn't say you'd made a lot of changes, you've completely misunderstood my question. I was asking for clarification of other drivers, because changing all of them, as well as making further Moffat changes would be a large shedload of changes. Since you seemed to have knowledge of where the dividing line should be drawn I thought I'd ask you about the others. Russell Ingall too come to mention it. And Peter Janson. Spam in University of New England Postgraduate Association[edit]

Proposed deletion of Rolex Datejust[edit]

Hi, Warnester here, life is kind of busy at the moment - so what I have done is edited the Ballina Bears page to remove references to all those files that you're worried I don't have permission for. I've already spoken to my brother and if need be I will get written evidence from him. But - in saying that - the Ballina District Cricket Association records were all created from newspaper The Northern Star reports - ergo they're public anyway - I shouldn't need permission to post something that is already in the public domain. So for now I've removed the references. But I will get the permission (as required) and / or change the setting to make the newspaper reports public. Ta
