In reply to "Chicago Computer Club circa 1978"[edit]

Sorry, I edited YOUR page (for I found links to your talk page signing your comment).

I should have replied here.

If you think it is best to move my comments HERE or have me do it and erase from your talk page, that's OK.

Chicago Computer Club circa 1978[edit]

I remember seeing you lead Chicago's first computer club. I would like to add your role in the club to Ward_Christensen. Do you remember the exact name of the club, date, and your role, and a reference I could cite? --Javaweb (talk) 06:47, 5 January 2011 (UTC)Javaweb UPDATE: I have the name: CACHE, the Chicago Area Computer Hobbyists' Exchange. I see the CBBS article covers this somewhat so at least it is covered in Wikipedia. --Javaweb (talk) 06:52, 5 January 2011 (UTC)Javaweb[reply]

Links[edit]

To add links in Wikipedia, please see:

You use two brackets for an internal link, . You use ONE [ ] bracket for an external link.

Also, don't use the URL for an internal link:
 • WRONG:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thriller_(U.S._TV_series)
 • LINKS, but not formatted correctly:
Thriller_(U.S._TV_series)
 • RIGHT:
Thriller

Please take a little time to read the manual before you leave the runway. Practice in your sandbox. > Best O Fortuna (talk) 05:34, 15 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Here is editor Wardxmodem's request for the syntax for context. Thanks for the helpful short tutorial and manual link. Ward, feel free to leave questions anytime on my user page as well. --Javaweb (talk) 11:09, 15 December 2011 (UTC)Javaweb[reply]
