Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Foreign relations of China into another page. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. I've added the required attribution to Emmanuel Macron for you this time! June 2022[edit]

Can you please combine some of your edits? Thanks. Drmies (talk) 01:27, 28 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I published the edits, but am not sure how to combine them after publishing. Is there a way to do that? Wh15tL3D09N (talk) 02:45, 28 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You can't. You do that before you save your changes, by not saving after every small change. Thank you, Drmies (talk) 13:03, 28 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

A lengthy welcome[edit]

Hi Wh15tL3D09N. Welcome to Wikipedia. I hope you don't mind if I share some of my thoughts on starting out as a new editor on Wikipedia: If I could get editors in your situation to follow just one piece of advice, it would be this: Learn Wikipedia by working only on non-contentious topics until you have a feel for the normal editing process and the policies that usually come up when editing casually. You'll find editing to be fun, easy, and rewarding. The rare disputes are resolved quickly and easily in collaboration.

Working on biographical information about living persons is far more difficult. Wikipedia's Biographies of living persons policy requires strict adherence to multiple content policies, and applies to all information about living persons including talk pages.

If you have a relationship with the topics you want to edit, then you will need to review Wikipedia's Conflict of interest policy, which may require you to disclose your relationship and restrict your editing depending upon how you are affiliated with the subject matter. Regardless, editing in a manner that promotes an entity or viewpoint over others can appear to be detrimental to the purpose of Wikipedia and the neutrality required in articles.

Some topic areas within Wikipedia have special editing restrictions that apply to all editors. It's best to avoid these topics until you are extremely familiar with all relevant policies and guidelines.

If you work from reliable, independent sources, you shouldn't go far wrong. WP:RSP and WP:RSN are helpful in determining if a source is reliable.

If you find yourself in a disagreement with another editor, it's best to discuss the matter on the relevant talk page.

I hope you find some useful information in all this, and welcome again. --Hipal (talk) 02:48, 6 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2022 Elections voter message[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2022 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:56, 29 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If you think that another name is better, see WP:RM--don't just go move it, and certainly not without an explanation. Also, please cite reliable secondary sources for the content you add, not tourism websites. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 00:22, 10 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

1RR at Gaza[edit]

Please self-revert your edit or you may be reported to arbitration enforcement. nableezy - 14:56, 16 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

As you have refused to self-revert I will be reporting this to arbitration enforcement. nableezy - 11:59, 18 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi nableesy, I believe it has been over 24 hours since the last revert. If you don’t agree with my edit, you can revert it (I won’t edit war with you). I saw that you reverted my last edit on Israel. I found those statistics on Al Jareeza, and I was watching an old documentary on the history of the conflict between Palestinians and Israel so that is why I made the edit. If you think that is is “bogus propaganda”, I am sorry for unintentionally offending (just trying to be helpful and put in things I watched from documentaries). I am still learning about the conflict. Both sides definitely have their extremists. If you would like to revert my edits, please feel free to do so as I believe you are allowed to since it has been over 24hours. Wh15tL3D09N (talk) 13:52, 18 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The bogus propaganda is "the Arabs rejected the plan". I wont report but please dont repeatedly revert edits. nableezy - 13:52, 18 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, that’s what I interpreted from the Al Jazeera article and also the documentary. If you click on the Wiki article about the partition plan (I copied the text below), it was the Arabs rejected the plan but the statistics are different from Al Jareeza:
“The proposed plan is considered to have been pro-Zionist by its detractors, with 62% of the land allocated to the Jewish state despite the Palestinian Arab population numbering twice the Jewish population. Consequently, the partition plan was accepted by Jewish Agency for Palestine and most Zionist factions who viewed it as a stepping stone to territorial expansion at an opportune time. The Arab Higher Committee, the Arab League and other Arab leaders and governments rejected it on the basis that in addition to the Arabs forming a two-thirds majority, they owned a majority of the lands. They also indicated an unwillingness to accept any form of territorial division, arguing that it violated the principles of national self-determinationin the UN Charter which granted people the right to decide their own destiny. They announced their intention to take all necessary measures to prevent the implementation of the resolution. Subsequently a civil war broke out in Palestine and the plan was not implemented.”
But if you think it can be misconstrued as propaganda, maybe it is better to leave it out of the article. Wh15tL3D09N (talk) 14:14, 18 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

emails[edit]

Hi Wh15tL3D09N, could you say who emailed you? nableezy - 00:44, 23 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi nableezy, It was Geosword6, he was really nice! He emailed me back. I think he might be a student. He was just concerned about bias in an article and wanted help reverting, but I told him I wouldn't be able to do that. Wh15tL3D09N (talk) 22:45, 23 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Good work on Victim mentality[edit]

Just popping in to say I think you've really improved what had been a rather poor article. Your good work is seen and appreciated. Generalrelative (talk) 05:07, 7 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you so much! Wh15tL3D09N (talk) 05:19, 7 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks but[edit]

Thanks for the warning. I had seen this, but please could you delete it, as it links to a thread claiming to doxx me, which we should not be linking to from WP. BobFromBrockley (talk) 22:40, 27 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Bobfrombrockley Oh sorry about that! I have deleted the link. I don’t even know if that person they claimed was you is actually you. I didn’t see that post on Twitter, originally. It was posted on a Wikipedia article talk page warning others about canvassing. Wafflefrites (talk) 05:32, 28 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! I hadn't realised it was mentioned on a talk page - will look out for that. BobFromBrockley (talk) 11:04, 28 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
