August 2009[edit]

Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content, as you did to Mulligans. Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalized, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed. Noosentaal·talk· 23:00, 25 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to the page Mulligans. Such edits constitute vandalism and are reverted. Please do not continue to make unconstructive edits to pages; use the sandbox for testing. Thank you.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 23:07, 25 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Mulligans[edit]

Mulligans is now a short article. Feel free to expand it. If you need any more help don't hesitate to ask. Jon513 (talk) 07:35, 26 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Gender[edit]

It's forty years since Germaine Greer told us the a female who managed was a "manager" not a "manageress". The use of gender-specific terms in situation where gender is of no account is inappropriate. A patron is a patron, regardless of gender. Almost the only current application of "-ess" is in "actress". Amandajm (talk) 03:44, 6 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I wasn't aware of Germain Greer's authority to set the grammar of the English languague. My bad. PC gone mad. The Church does use the term patroness, so I tink that should be the reference authority, not a feminist writer. Will (talk) 03:59, 6 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
