Notability of Kei Itoh[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Kei Itoh, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Kei Itoh seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Kei Itoh, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. To see the user who deleted the page, click here CSDWarnBot (talk) 15:50, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I hate to bother you, but do you have any references to prove this person is notable? Bearian (talk) 23:46, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have added links to Goldberg Magazine agenda and the Spanish National Auditorium and a critic proving his concert activity, a link to the Orquesta Nacional de España proving his chair there and a complete curriculum from the Fundación Príncipe de Asturias. Is this enough? Vodnik ad irato (talk) 01:02, 10 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

BLP[edit]

When creating articles about living people WP:BLP require some more effort when you create them - note the project tags added to your recent stub - otherwise some eds would have no hesitation in speedy deleting such an article as it does not acknowledge BLP issues or that the person is living. Please note carefully SatuSuro 04:35, 6 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

List of members of orchestras (?)[edit]

Thank you for you your contributions. I must question, though, whether your recent edits in several articles of Spanish orchestras are relevant. No other Wikipedia articles about orchestras have complete lists of the members of the orchestra. Also, keep in mind that it is almost as if you listed a company’s staff’s names. In a company, the relevant information is the information about the company. I am telling you this, and I do play professionally in an orchestra. I suggest that the lists are removed and if necessary I will find the opinion of a third part expert. Cheers. --Karljoos (talk) 11:57, 19 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I honestly don't agree with that reasoning, but I'm nobody to refute it. I was really looking forward to do the same thing in notable orchestras articles, but if that's how contributors to Wikipedia feel about this, it should obviously be rejected. If possible, please discuss the matter with other experts before deleting them. Vodnik ad irato (talk) 13:24, 19 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Of course I wouldn't delete them without counting with consensus. And yes, you're someone to refute it. My reasoning hasn't changed. Please give your opinion here and we can discuss it! --Karljoos 21:09, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Ángel Sanzo[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Ángel Sanzo, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Non-notable

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. A tag has been placed on Manuel Galduf requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. There is a Road, No Simple Highway (talk) 17:38, 29 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Galduf has been active at the Spanish musical scene leading the Valencia Orchestra from the mid-80s to ca. 2000, and has been given coverage in the media through this time, as you can see in La Vanguardia's archive. What makes you think he is not notable for a Wikipedia article? Vodnik ad irato (talk) 17:52, 29 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The article Zuzana Paulechová has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Hello Vodnik ad irato! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 944 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

You are now a Reviewer[edit]

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 20:23, 15 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your contributed article, Miguel Riquelme[edit]

Hello, I notice that you recently created a new page, Miguel Riquelme. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as yourself. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - Joaquín Riquelme García. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will to continue helping improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Joaquín Riquelme García - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think that the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Karljoos (talk) 19:32, 29 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Timur Sergeyenya has been proposed for deletion. The proposed deletion notice added to the article should explain why.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. miszatomic 15:19, 26 May 2014 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. A tag has been placed on Svetlana Smolina requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from philadelphiamusicfestival.org/our-faculty/svetlana-smolina. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
