English descendence of Almada?

Hi. I noticed on the Álvaro Vaz de Almada, 1st Count of Avranches you inserted a statement about Almada being descended from an English knight. I removed the statement because it was unreferenced (the sources I have state merely he descended from a non-noble commercial family.) Do you happen to have a reference? Hi again. Thanks for the refs. I don't have access to those, but they sent me poking through Googlebooks to see if I could at least find their sources. And I have come back after a long adventure - with the conclusion that such a story does indeed exist (albeit without any named knights), but that it is also, alas, a myth.
