Dicey reilly[edit]

I note poor old Dicey Reilly getting deleted. Try again, posting it to Wikisource with correct capitalisation, ie. at s:Dicey Reilly. Also, provide a proper introduction - when was the song written and by whom - this will establish whether is still in copyright. -- RHaworth 17:40, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oakville Soccer Club[edit]

Hi Treesus,

Thanks for finding the citation for the Oakville Soccer Club being the largest in the Oakville, Ontario article. I'd heard that fact, but couldn't find any references in my own search. -- Whpq 10:41, 20 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

David Copperfield[edit]

According to Wikipedia:Proposed deletion, it is not the job of a prod patroller to do anything but "contest" the prod. You are still able to put the article up for AfD, where it can be discussed if you still feel that it should be deleted. I, however, feel that the article should not be deleted, so there is no reason for me to place the AfD tag on the article (AfD where the nom does not want deletion are regularly closed early).

I see from your contributions that you are unexperienced in matters related to article deletion, so I will summarize the deletion process as such: prod an article, if someone objects, place it up for AfD. If an article is of low quality but relating to an encyclopedic topic (such as this one), deletion is never the solution. It is better to put appropriate cleanup tags on the article and wait for someone with some knowledge on the subject to give it the attention that it deserves. Additionally, leaving semi-confrontational messages on user talk pages gets you nowhere. If you have any questions or problems in the future, don't hesitate to ask me or any other experienced user, just don't accuse people of not having "respect." We are all working on this ecyclopedia together, and cooler tempers aid in the process. youngamerican (ahoy-hoy) 12:05, 7 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I fixed the wikisyntax on the template that you added to the article. Please verify that I formatted it the way that you would like it. Cheers. youngamerican (ahoy-hoy) 16:25, 7 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No prob. Its always good to see newer users with the cojones to jump right into the more-complicated ends of the 'pedia. youngamerican (ahoy-hoy) 16:37, 7 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
