Hi there from me also! Thanks for your message on my talk page here. I am also happy to help. Basically what is needed here is a source of some kind which discusses this organisation. A third-party source published in any form of media would be ideal. If you know of one on the web, for example, please type the URL here or at Talk:Delta Lambda Psi and I'll be able to help more productively - I have not found one thus far and it is needed per the Wikipedia policy called WP:V. RE: Delta Lambda Psi[edit]

I'd like to help you with this article; however, I'm a little concerned about your intentions. Wikipedia is not a social networking site by any means; so if your purpose is to hook up with other fraternities and sororites, I'm afraid that's not really acceptable. If you'd like to write a nonbiased encyclopedia article, then, by all means, stay. As noted on your talk page, your article has two main issues: first, it's essentially written like an ad for the article. As I said, the "our"s and "we"s strewn throughout the article, as well as peacock terms like "dedicated" and "strong-willed," it is very clear that someone in the organization wrote the article. Please read up on Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy to improve the article in this area. The other issue with the article is slightly larger: In order to establish notability, our articles here need to have sources and references from neutral, third-party sources, like newspapers and magazines (not blogs). Please read our notability policy, as well as our reliable source guidelines in order to improve the article and save it from deletion. Delta Lambda Psi (new message)[edit]

Hi again Tlafond, and thanks for your message on my talk page here and here. I am not very experienced here yet, but I understand your concern. Unfortunately, Wikipedia makes it much easier to add an article than it does to get it to stay here for long, and this causes a lot of unnecessary problems. Your article was deleted by User:SchuminWeb, an administrator, per WP:CSD#A7. Technically, if the article made a claim of notability for the organisation it would not be deleted under this particular rule. Nevertheless, it would probably still be deleted eventually unless (as stated above), it could demonstrate significant coverage in reliable sources independent of the subject. The sources you mention do not really constitute such coverage. Sure - there are still articles here that don't meet that requirement but Wikipedia deletes hundreds of them every week. As your organisation does not yet seem to have attracted the attention of third-party sources, it was only a matter of time before it was deleted by either WP:CSD#A7 WP:PROD or WP:AfD. If you are interested in promoting the organisation, you would probably be better off at MySpace, Facebook or other websites. Essentially, Wikipedia is supposed to merely paraphrase reliable sources (such as books and journals) - we are a tertiary source. If you disagree, there is a process called Wikipedia:Deletion review. I strongly suggest that you consider carefully the comments above first though. There is more information at Wikipedia:Why was my page deleted?. If your organisation is covered significantly in the press or something, then there is no problem with having an article. Sorry dude - that's just how we roll.
