Florida Gators football: 1984, 1985 and 1990 SEC "championships"

Greetings. Please do not insert inappropriate references to the 1984, 1985 and 1990 SEC football championships into the record tables of the Florida Gators football article. The Gators won the 1984 SEC championship, but the SEC presidents council later vacated the title at their meeting in spring 1985. The Gators were ineligible for the SEC championship in 1985 and 1990 because of NCAA probation resulting from NCAA rules major infractions by Charley Pell and relatively minor ones by Galen Hall. This is already explained in those coaches' articles as well as the history section of the Florida Gators football article. Attempting to claim non-existent conference championships in the records tables within the Florida Gators football article just makes Gators fans look like poor sportsmen and people who condone cheating. I am a three-time graduate of the University of Florida, and many of us Florida alumni of that generation were humiliated by these events----not by the conduct of our players, but by the conduct of our coaches. Presidents Marshall Criser and Robert A. Bryan did much to cure the problems, and coach Steve Spurrier's winning without cheating did much to restore our faith in the athletic program. Please note that the University Athletic Association under Jeremy Foley has never attempted to claim these SEC championships and does its flat best to run a program in compliance with NCAA rules. If the athletic association does not claim these championships, then there is no basis for asserting differently on Wikipedia, which requires reliable sources for any facts that are challenged or likely to be challenged. Changing table colors at Florida-Georgia Football Rivalry

Hello Timtebow4he15man2007,

I appreciate your enthusiasm for improving Wikipedia, but the table colors at Florida–Georgia football rivalry have gone through a lot of revision in the past, and the colors as they currently exist have been settled upon by a consensus of editors from both "sides" of the rivalry. The consensus that was reached is that the current format properly balances the display of a team's colors with readability of the table. Please do not change it.
