Minor edits[edit]

Information icon Hi Threefrgy! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. — Manticore 02:28, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I mindlessly clicked the button, sorry! Threefrgy (talk) 05:14, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked as a sockpuppet[edit]

Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively as a sockpuppet of User:Dcasey98 per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Dcasey98. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.

Request reason:

@FMSky is a shift-worker for @Binksternet. I read the block arbitration on my account and these were the only two accounts involved, and it came unceremoniously, after baseless accusations that I think “every music genre originates in the US” and have a “pro-American slant” because I re-add the U.S. to music genre pages, as at Progressive rock and New Wave after they are deleted, erroneously (at one point, by FMSky) and against the information and sources in the page. I utilized the talk page to get that edit instated in Progressive rock after a consensus was reached. The decision to block me was utterly biased. I do not have access to the DCasey98 account. I don’t know the password for it. I haven’t used it in over 5 years. To block me and accuse me of being a sockpuppet, even though I broke no rules, and was never warned as such, is kind of ridiculous. I think I need to email Wikipedia’s arbitration committee about this issue, because this biased attempt to block anyone who tries to revert the very obvious anti-American deletionism perpetrated almost exclusively across the site by both Binksternet and his associate FMSky is extremely odd. For further example; re-adding the U.S. to the “New Wave” page as a place of origin for the genre after the article literally says in the lede that American critics coined the term “new wave”, and given the fact that the first category lists primarily American bands as some of the earliest influences on the sound, is not “pro-American” posting.

Decline reason:

You are acknowledging you are Dcasey98. You, you personally, are banned from Wikipedia. You are not permitted to set up accounts to evade your ban. Until that account is unbanned, you personally are not welcome on Wikipedia. It's not relevant that you don't know the password to that account. Feel free to email Wikipedia's arbitration committee. If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Blocked, including Hhesandham. The block on 4.37.8.18 is based on WP:DUCK. --Yamla (talk) 11:23, 25 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
