Re: Birthday

Thank you very much! ♥NiciVampireHeart♥ 00:16, 12 July 2008 (UTC)

LOL, no the drinking age here is 18. Unfortunately I only turned 17... ♥NiciVampireHeart♥ 00:22, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
Now that sucks! ;) No, I don't mind you asking. I've been the poor sod adding the table format to most of the PPV articles. Very, very tedious work! But someone's gotta do it, I suppose. After that, I'll probably finish off Mike Lockwood and get it to GA. How 'bout you? ♥NiciVampireHeart♥ 00:29, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
I wasn't too keen on it at first either, but I really like it now. I much prefer it to the old format. ;) Yea, we should. We always say we're going to work on an article, and then we never do :( ♥NiciVampireHeart♥ 02:03, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
Definetly. ♥NiciVampireHeart♥ 02:06, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
Sometime next week would be good. Give me a chance to finish off the tables... ♥NiciVampireHeart♥ 02:11, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
I've replied to your e-mail. –LAX 02:17, 12 July 2008 (UTC)

Yay!! Thank you! I appreciate the barnstar! I'll hit ya up once I finish the tables, and we can get to work! ;) ♥NiciVampireHeart♥ 02:18, 12 July 2008 (UTC)

Awesome! ;) ♥NiciVampireHeart♥ 02:24, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
Not at all. Again, as long as I can work on the Khali/Big Show vs. Taker feud. ;) –LAX 02:27, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
That's fine with me. I, actually, don't really care what I work on. As long as I get to help. ;) –LAX 02:38, 12 July 2008 (UTC)

Woops, I forgot. =P D.M.N. (talk) 19:48, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

Call me an idiot please.... gives self a slap round the head! D.M.N. (talk) 20:00, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
I do. Sort of. As for my PPV work, it's coming along good. =D D.M.N. (talk) 20:08, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
Even more funnier is the King Mabel debacle, what a load of......... Thanks for the compliment, BTW, trying to make it sound "as fake as possible"!! =P D.M.N. (talk) 20:35, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
It's not a real song... I don't think (it's a redlink anyway). Wanna listen to it? Good singing! D.M.N. (talk) 20:56, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, I was jokin'. Anyway, I've removed the italics. D.M.N. (talk) 21:04, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
OK. While I'm here, do you think I should have another paragraph on another undercard feud, or just leave the background at that. TBH, I'm not too sure. :S D.M.N. (talk) 21:10, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

I think this is ready now, I have addressed your comments. RedThunder 23:52, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

Hey Blue, I saw that you nominate SS04 for GA, but the thing is, the results still need to be converted into table format. Good luck with the nomination, and Cheers! -- iMatthew T.C. 00:58, 14 July 2008 (UTC)

Also, 411mania.com was proven un-reliable, so I also suggest you replace the 411mania refs before the review, so that the article does not fail. Cheers, -- iMatthew T.C. 01:02, 14 July 2008 (UTC)

Hey.

I know I'm working on things right now, but is there anything you would like me to help you with. Anything at all. Cimmo (talk) 5:24 14 July (UTC)

Many thanks for the GAR, I have finally been able to get back online and have now responded, apologies for the tardiness! -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 07:43, 14 July 2008 (UTC)

Hey

Hey Blue, can you comment on SummerSlam (2003)'s peer review (link). Thanks. Also, for SS04, 411Mania is reliable per the comments made by User:Ealdgyth, they were made somewhere but I can't remember. Though, if they run by it again, there will be no problem.--SRX 22:03, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

Thanks so much. --SRX 22:19, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
I see what you mean, but if I combine them, it will have to many commas, and probably be too long/run-on.--SRX 22:32, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
It really all depends on the reviewer. I wish GA Reviews were less complex, make them like WP:FA? Don't you?..lol--SRX 22:37, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
Oh, thanks (I think?..lol), but I was tempted to review 2006 Gator Bowl, but that thing was huge..lol When I review articles, I give suggestions, which makes it tough on me as well. I rarely review PW articles, but when I do, I know what to expect and what should be altered. I would review SS04, but didn't I kinda help with it? or not?--SRX 22:51, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
Thanks so much, try not to be biased (I know you wont) ;).SRX 23:07, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
Thanks again, and I replied to them. You think it has a chance at FA? (with all honesty)--SRX 23:29, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
Thanks, thats what I thought as well. I just don't understand why SS'07 failed? SRX 00:13, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
Does SS'03 have alot of that?SRX 00:14, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
Hopefully, it can pass FA. That's why it's good to write PPV's after FA and GA reviews, that way you can improve on what those lacked.SRX 00:29, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

Hey, when are you gonna start working on TGAB? ;) –LAX 00:38, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

Alright. ;) So, could you find anything on the Batista/Kennedy "feud"? –LAX 00:45, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
You think it can surpass that? Yeah, it is, I told you above.SRX 01:35, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
I mentioned it at WT:PW, and it is per this if you don't want to, use wrestleview/wrestling observer/pw torch/ or slam wrestling.
It makes sense to me. –LAX 01:50, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
Nope, it was found reliable per the RFC of SummerSlam '07--SRX 02:48, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
Sure, I'll give it a go. –LAX 23:20, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
It looks good. But I think you should note that since a championship cannot be lost via count-out or DQ, Booker retained the title. –LAX 23:25, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
I just finished the Mysterio/Guerrero feud. How's it look? –LAX 00:57, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

Hey, I'd like to get Period 1 element to GA but I'm not quite sure how much I can expand it. I don't know how familiar you are with chemistry, but there isn't much to add to this article beyond the fact that the only elements in this period are hydrogen and helium. I guess I could sort of summarize the characteristics of the elements? Thoughts? :) Gary King (talk) 00:46, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

Well I'm asking you as a fellow GA reviewer :) Also, I like to try challenges to expand articles that might seem hard to expand (like Cobb salad, which I only got so far.) Gary King (talk) 00:55, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
Caesar would be too easy! Gary King (talk) 01:03, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
Check Period 1 element out now. How about something like that? Gary King (talk) 01:04, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
Haha, now that's getting more difficult. I believe that Food is generally the least popular subject to write about on Wikipedia. Gary King (talk) 01:11, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
Article is done now. Nominated for GAN. Hopefully whoever reviews it thinks it has enough content because I don't know if I can add any more Gary King (talk) 03:49, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
Haha, only if you've got time ;) I've got three noms up right now; so you can pick and choose :) With me, at least you're guaranteed a quick response! Gary King (talk) 03:56, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
Ah, fair enough. WALL-E is awesome. Hancock is very disappointing :( Gary King (talk) 04:01, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

← Yep! I can't get away from Batman. Some people I know say that Batman looks too dark for them and so they might not watch it. For me, I want to watch it because it's dark! Gary King (talk) 03:09, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

Sure thing; one at a time, though. I've already got an article at FAC right now :) Gary King (talk) 03:37, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
Yeah sounds good. I've also got some GANs up if you're interested. Gary King (talk) 19:38, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
I'm currently working on improving List of Arcade Fire awards to WP:FLC but yeah I will get to it when I'm done. Gary King (talk) 19:43, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
Alright that sounds good. Did you finally see the movie or are you just going to review it regardless? :) Gary King (talk) 19:46, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
Speaking of midnight. TDK is out tonight at midnight (well, Friday/tomorrow at 12:00 am officially). However, I'll probably watch on Saturday :) Can't wait! Gary King (talk) 19:51, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
Haha. I will be watching Batman Begins over and over again in the meantime :) Gary King (talk) 19:57, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
Yeah I saw that a few days ago but I'm not a big fan of the anime/cartoon look :( Gary King (talk) 20:05, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
I don't know; of course, don't get me wrong, I like Batman – I'm a big fan of the whole grim, dark look thing because sometimes Spider-Man feels a bit too cartoony for me, but Batman Begins and TDK are going to be great because of the story, and Christopher Nolan as director. All of his films have been great so far – such as Memento. Gary King (talk) 20:09, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

← The major, major difference among great superhero films including Spider-Man, Iron Man, and Batman Begins is that the directors are not blockbuster film directors. So they focus more on the story than the special effects. Transformers is a huge blockbuster movie, with a blockbuster budget and director, so the plot sucks but the special effects are good. Gary King (talk) 20:17, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

Saw TDK? Was it good? I have yet to see it. Big sigh! Gary King (talk) 17:21, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
Wow you're really going to town with actor articles. Specifically TDK actors :) Gary King (talk) 18:26, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
You saw the same movie, four times in a row?! What?!?! Gary King (talk) 18:34, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
More of a fan than me apparently :( Anyways, I'm still going to buy the DVD, so I think I'm at least somewhat of a fan? :p Gary King (talk) 18:46, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
Just FYI I've got 3 GANs right now (2 minus WALL-E). Gary King (talk) 18:47, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
Alright. It still blows my mind that you saw it four times. Now I will walk around feeling like less of a fan! :( Gary King (talk) 18:51, 18 July 2008 (UTC)

RE: Michaels

Agreed. Nikki311 04:53, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

Yes, it does. Quote:

The Black and White seemed complete after Kevin Nash announced the New World Order's latest recruitment at the June 3 Raw: the king of WWE "Attitude," Shawn Michaels! Sadly, Shawn revealed a bitter disposition the following week in Atlanta's Phillip Arena, reaffirming his June 1 WWE Confidential comments that "The Heartbreat Kid" was dead. Michaels explained how he'd literally broken his back for the WWE, only for fans to steer the company's "promotional machine" from HBK over to "3:16" at WrestleMania XIV. "As Vince McMahon always said, 'It's you, the fans, who determine where we go as an organization.' So it was you, the fans, who dumped me for Stone Cold Steve Austin like a cheap nickel-and-dime prostitute runs to a millionaire!" Michaels called Nash, Booker T, X-Pac and Big Show out to the ring to address a similar problem which existed within the nWo...then superkicked the Book with some Sweet Chin Music! Accusing the floored Booker of upstaging the Black and White like Austin had done to him, Michaels swore, "Nobody wil ever steal the spotlight of the nWo again!"

I hope this is OK. =D D.M.N. (talk) 07:43, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

Yes. Is there any events in particular you were looking for (for instance when HHH/HBK reunited as DX. If you could provide particular bits in their feud for which you want references for it would help. Thanks, D.M.N. (talk) 14:59, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
Yes it does. The book is 300+ pages long, and covers virtually every feud, no matter how small on RAW or SD!. There are a lot of pages on that feud, hence why I need to know what part of the feud you need referencing. Sorry if I sound like a dick. D.M.N. (talk) 15:07, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
Page 314. Sorry if I sounded like an idiot before, but the book is 350+ pages, has detailed PPV reviews, and covers every feud in prose month by month. If you wish, I could go onto the HBK article, and replace the refs for 2002 myself? =D D.M.N. (talk) 15:13, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

I've done it now. D.M.N. (talk) 15:23, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

Nope, sorry. D.M.N. (talk) 15:35, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
I'd use this for the TBN thingy. D.M.N. (talk) 16:37, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
I typed in "Shawn Michaels TBN" on Google, and there it was second one down. =D D.M.N. (talk) 16:41, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
The Wrestling Information Archive sources are there to cite PWI Awards, correct? Now, according to the Pro Wrestling Illustrated article: "A special PWI Awards magazine is put out annually, which shows not only the winners, but the first three runners-up with the number of votes. The wrestlers receive plaques for each PWI Award that they win." - so therefore why not just cite straight from the magazine as a whole? That should be OK, even if the ref lacks key details e.g. barcode number etc. So for instance with his 1995 awards cite the 1995 magazine etc.. D.M.N. (talk) 16:49, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
It seems alright. D.M.N. (talk) 18:16, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
How does TGAB '04 look so far? –LAX 19:46, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
Good idea! And then maybe we can get WWE The Great American Bash to be a featured topic. –LAX 20:08, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

Just cite the magazine itself for the PWI awards, if you can figure out which issue it is (which I don't think would be too terribly difficult). Nikki311 22:17, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

Congrats with Unforgiven. Hey how does SummerSlam (2003) look now? (The BG and the event Up to the U.S title match).--SRX 00:10, 20 July 2008 (UTC)

Re:WON awards

I believe the consensus was that they are, but I'm unsure to what degree. Check the WT:PW archives. Gavyn Sykes (talk) 03:01, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

Backlash

Thanks for GA Reviewing the article, Matt got to your concerns before I was able to do so, so I think he covered everything. --SRX 00:00, 19 July 2008 (UTC)

I've sent you an e-mail. –LAX 00:06, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
Sure. The more help the better. ;) –LAX 00:14, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
Yep, sure did. –LAX 00:18, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
I will try to get to SS'04 later tonight. Sure, I will get to it later as well, promise. Thanks for the GA review.--SRX 00:26, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
Great. We should have this done in no time. ;) BTW, how does TGAB '04 look now? –LAX 00:32, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
If they are both of that person alone, they I'd say yeah. I wouldn't recommend it. However, if one is of only that person and the other is of them in a match (or something of that nature), the I'd say there's nothing wrong with that. You get what I'm trying to say? –LAX 00:54, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
I would put an image of Cena in the background, and an image of Orton as WWE Champion in the aftermath. –LAX 00:57, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
Wait, which article do you want me to review? Survivor Series 04 has been reviewed.SRX 01:04, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
I don't know if I can do that, since I am the nominator of the article.SRX 01:06, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
And you can't review it since you are the major contributor. Wow, thats cheating.lol You just nominated it. But what the hell, why not?..lolSRX 01:08, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
I'd say no. It's looks a little too odd to me. Also, per WP:MOS#Images, change the image of Orton to one of him facing the left. –LAX 01:10, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
Unforgiven (2007) is currently  On hold. Comments can be found here (Sorry, thats my "automated" GA review message lol, and sorry for being such a dick with the review.)--SRX 03:11, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
It looks good, just a few prose issues, do you want me to point them out here or are going to 'put it up for PR. I guess you haven't been paying attention to WT:PW, their is new consensus formed on how to write out of universe, which is what me and LAX are doing for SummerSlam (2003) and SummerSlam (2007), check out WT:PW for more on it and you will see why the many differences are there ;)SRX 00:43, 20 July 2008 (UTC)
Sure I'll point them out later on. The new consensus is so the articles can pass FAC, which was prevented with the jargon and in-universe style of writing, now I think we may have 2 FACs.SRX 00:47, 20 July 2008 (UTC)

I prefer not to use the cite web template. It's just personal preference, not out of being stubborn or anything. It's been held up as all right (use of cite web is encouraged but not required) in featured Article Review, but if there's any other problems you'd like me to change, don't hesitate to ask! Thanks again. JKBrooks85 (talk) 03:27, 19 July 2008 (UTC)

Hancock

You set an article as GA, and it had no introduction (article started with a header). I fixed that, but you might want to take note of glaring issues like that in the future. MSJapan (talk) 04:34, 19 July 2008 (UTC)

I'm back from it. It is truly epic, and well-deserving of its #1 spot on IMDB's all-time list. The Dark Knight (film) and related articles will be getting lots of loving. Gary King (talk) 22:17, 19 July 2008 (UTC)

SERIOUSLY?! Lucky you :| Although, honestly, I think that sometimes too much of a good thing is not good ;) Just like, as it has been discussed in numerous reviews, if there was more screen time for the Joker than there is now, then the movie wouldn't be as good. As it is now, you are dying to know when the next time the Joker appears on screen while watching the movie! It's intense. Gary King (talk) 22:46, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
Don't even speak to me about any Batman films not directed by Nolan :p Also, didn't get to see it in IMAX unfortunately. Even though I'm from the same city that the company is based in ( ;) ), I don't think there's one near me. Gary King (talk) 23:01, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
Still working on BB. Gotta give it and now TDK some TLC. What's the IMAX experience like? The screen wraps around the audience? I've only been to an IMAX screen at the nearby science center so that's the only time I got to experience it, for Mount Everest films and such. Gary King (talk) 23:19, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
I have decided that I will watch The Dark Knight in IMAX. It will probably be in a few weeks, though, as I've already seen it so there isn't as much point to see it again so soon. Also, I just purchased the movie's soundtrack, and two posters: this one and this one. Gary King (talk) 19:22, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
Nice. A lot of people I know are creeped out by the Joker, but personally, I like the complexity of the character. He's so evil, but of course he's not an idiot and he knows how to get things done. He's just so interesting! Gary King (talk) 19:36, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
Haha, are you trying to persuade me to work on his article? In due time! Some people I know wasn't going to watch the movie because they were unsure of how dark it would be; I eventually convinced them to go see it and they definitely walked away happy that they saw it. Also, a lot of the people that watch Mamma Mia aren't the same people that would watch TDK so they are both mutually exclusive in a way, which is why TDK managed to get $155 million while Mamma Mia still managed to get a decent $27 million on the weekend. Space Chimps is such a joke. It got $7 million on its first opening weekend! They should have released that movie before WALL-E because WALL-E just pummels any animation movie that isn't up to par with it. Gary King (talk) 19:49, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, I guess my fears were for nothing when I was worried at whether or not the movie would become more successful than BB, eh? Also, I did take a look at the Joker article after returning home from the movies but it does indeed look a bit complicated at this point. I think the hardest part will be finding references. However, would you like to collaborate on it? Gary King (talk) 20:01, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
FYI the article is certainly getting way more love after the movie was released. Gary King (talk) 20:03, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

← Okay I will get to it soon, as in a week or two. Also, I don't really know where I can access comic books for references. There are probably some good regular books that I could get from the library that analyze the comics, too, since in the past few years comic books have become more serious. Gary King (talk) 20:11, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

Wow, it's in really poor shape right now; it needs a Development section at the very least :) I've never played the game, too, so maybe I'll get to it later. Gary King (talk) 20:29, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
Development sections are the hardest to build, and since the article doesn't have one yet, I'm wary as to how long it would take to get the article up to scratch :) Gary King (talk) 20:36, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
Most of your articles are biographies and events; I think you should branch out more :) Gary King (talk) 20:43, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
Joker, or the video game, for starters. Work on either one but don't give up this time :p Gary King (talk) 21:01, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

I've got a few WP:FLC and WP:GAN listed which I am waiting to be closed before starting on anything new. If you've got time, feel free to comment on them ;) Gary King (talk) 01:22, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
Ah, I'm finally going to watch TDK tomorrow in IMAX. I didn't realize that IMAX was so popular (since it cost more, etc.) – the showings are already sold out, so the latest I can go is 12:00 p.m.! Gary King (talk) 00:25, 26 July 2008 (UTC)

Hi. I have fixed the two things you mentioned in the above article's GAN. Thank you for taking the time to review it.--LAAFan 04:12, 24 July 2008 (UTC)

Hello! Thanks for taking a look at the article, to be honest I wasn't expecting to hear anything for a few weeks. I've looked at all of the points on the talk page, and I think I've remedied all of them. I've gone into more detail on the page, thanks! - Toon05 21:12, 25 July 2008 (UTC)

Excellent, my first truly meaningful contribution to Wikipedia! Hopefully the first of many. Thanks for the review. And whoever said Americans don't know anything about football? ;) - Toon05 21:37, 25 July 2008 (UTC)
I will keep that in mind, thanks! - Toon05 21:43, 25 July 2008 (UTC)

Re: IMAX

Oh yeah? Not that surprising, I guess. Oh, and I went online to check the address for the movie theater, I check the showtimes – 12:00 pm is available, but after that, it's all sold out. I post that message to you, go out for five minutes, come back and refresh the page – and even 12:00 pm is sold out tomorrow! It sold out while I was gone for a few minutes. So now I'm going to buy Sunday at 12:00 pm since that's the same deal – everything after 12:00 pm is gone. Gary King (talk) 00:32, 26 July 2008 (UTC)

Yeah would be nice if it was reviewed :) Gary King (talk) 00:44, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
Alright I just bought the tickets. It's 50% more than normal ones, so it better be worth it! Also, it said to print the tickets on one per page, so I just copy and pasted each one onto a different Microsoft Word document. I hope I did it correctly! Gary King (talk) 00:54, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
It says to print the tickets one per page; the problem is that they come right after the other on the printing page, so I suppose we have to be creative to print them. How do I get into the theater? Don't they just scan the barcode on the ticket – I imagine that's the most crucial part of the ticket? Gary King (talk) 01:06, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
Except that I've never purchased movie tickets online before! Gary King (talk) 01:12, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
Nope don't think it's the same then. It says to bring my printed ticket directly to the usher instead of waiting in the ticket-purchasing line. Gary King (talk) 01:21, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
Ah, well as I said, I print out the ticket and it has a barcode on it so I guess they scan the barcode on the printed ticket. It sounds like you don't need to go online at all? I don't really get how they could reserve a ticket for you with only your name, since then you wouldn't have paid for the ticket yet, etc. Gary King (talk) 01:34, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
Hm the problem with that is that it sounds like it can be abused though. Gary King (talk) 01:41, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
So do you have to go to the theater to get the ticket at a prespecified time or something? Otherwise someone can reserve a hundred tickets under different names, and then not arrive at the theater so they don't have to pay for the tickets. This would cause the theater to hold a hundred tickets for someone who will never show up, so then they can't sell them to someone else. Gary King (talk) 02:18, 26 July 2008 (UTC)

← I saw TDK in IMAX today – the first time I've ever viewed IMAX. Loved it! Gary King (talk) 03:28, 28 July 2008 (UTC)

Sure. I'll get to it tomorrow. Also, sorry about not finishing the event section for The Bash '06. I'll get to that tomorrow as well.--SRX 02:41, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
Ok thanks. Which matches though do you want me to complete?--SRX 02:51, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
Ok I'm done. Sorry I took so long.--SRX 15:08, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
Your welcome. Well I'm done, I just need the PR to close. You think it should go straight to FAC like it is or GA first?SRX 23:55, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
I think i will get shot down by PW. Go to WT:PW and scroll to the bottom and see the big discussion about the new PPV formats. I say not yet, because we don't know if that is a way to write articles to meet the FA criteria. I think I'm gonna go for it to see what happens and if it doesn't pan out, we may know what to improve in.SRX 00:14, 28 July 2008 (UTC)

Well about 3 people reviewed it but they did not place a "support" or "oppose", so it was just not promoted by The Rambling Man, the FL director. I will start to work on it.--SRX 00:49, 28 July 2008 (UTC)
Thanks. You know not to be a dick or anything, but I don't think I can write the gameplay for Batman Begins because I am so unfamiliar with the subject. it should be

I hope you are aware that I responded about the VG list above?..:)..lol--SRX 16:58, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
Now? It's pretty easy to make these types of lists, we can have it done by today. Want to work on the lead? I will work on the tables. Try to follow the model of WWE SmackDown (video game series). Since we can finish it today: sandbox or mainspace?--SRX 17:03, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
Lets do it in mines. Try to make the lead with good facts so maybe we can get a DYK.--SRX 17:15, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
Haha. Well lets get too work.?--SRX 17:25, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
Both are correct. It took 2 years to develop the first game.--SRX 18:27, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
I would say from 1994, because that's when it was literally produced, unless you want to say it was developed from 1992.--SRX 18:39, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
Expert? Ha. But to coincide with other VG FL's, it should read "The main series was produced from 1994-2002." If you want you can later say that the first game was developed in 1992, but I dont think that's needed.SRX 18:48, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
I reworded it a bit. But it looks good. Keep it up!--SRX 19:02, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
Cool. Try to research whether it is the longest running racing game series to date, I think it is. That way, that fact can be our DYK. How does our table look?SRX 19:21, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

I don't know if it is. But try to search it on google and see whether it is. IT should be added as that could be a DYK fact.SRX 19:32, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

Are we still working on TGAB '06, or what? --LAX 00:06, 30 July 2008 (UTC)
No it doesn't. But I think it is the longest running franchise. Search google with keyterms like need for speed + longest running.SRX 02:42, 30 July 2008 (UTC)

Aaron Eckhart GA review

Just dropping by to let you know I've filled out a review for Aaron Eckhart. Good luck with improving the article! —97198 talk 09:10, 30 July 2008 (UTC)

Just wanted to let you know that all the issues have been addressed. Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 14:44, 30 July 2008 (UTC)

So are we still working on TGAB or not? --LAX 01:51, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
I'd be delighted. For some reason or another, that is now my favorite section to write. I'll have to start over from scratch, though. 'Cause that's how I roll. :P --LAX 01:58, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
I know, but I just had to say it. ;) I don't think they really "hurt" the article, although they could go for all I care. I see that you have already written it. Do you want me to write an aftermath for it, though? --LAX 02:09, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
I'll do what I can. I've been quite busy lately, so I may not get to it right away. --LAX 02:22, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
Anyways, you haven't replied to my latest "text". --LAX 02:31, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
110% sure. Either you didn't get it or I didn't get your reply. --LAX 02:36, 31 July 2008 (UTC)

Laie Hawaii Temple GA Nom

I'm going to take over your reviewing for the Laie Hawaii Temple GA nomination, if you don't mind. I hope I'm not being rude. :D Intothewoods29 (talk) 04:40, 31 July 2008 (UTC)

Want to try and finish the list today? I responded above about the comment you left me on my talk page.--SRX 14:43, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
I researched here on wiki, and the only other racing series released before NFS was Virtua Racing, but they stopped releasing in 1996. So NFS is the longest consecutive racing series. I just don't know how we can source it. --SRX 14:56, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
They have nothing. I guess we can't add that, oh well. Just continue doing the rest of the lead.--SRX 15:04, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
Oh btw how does the lead for SummerSlam (2003) look?SRX 15:10, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
Okay never mind! I didn't know there was a peer review, but I thought there was a reason. Thanks Intothewoods29 (talk) 15:29, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
Thank you so much, and I'm pretty sure I could help you do that with your PPV. Wow, Vengeance reads awkwardly since I've been writing out of universe, but in universe it reads great. You just want to cut down on the background and no go into much detail, which is why I cut down on the BG for SS' 03. Just summarize the main points. Also, try to avoid using a lot of jargon, it's okay, but writing the whole thing like that is getting GA Reviewers fed up. :)SRX 15:31, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
First let's see if it's worth writing it like I did for SS'o3, if it passes FAC, then that will be the new model to follow. But if you look at the Peer review for SS'03, look at what the FA reviewers have told me about it.SRX 16:28, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
I will email you how I did the grossing for the event. Motor City was part of NFS, it was just intended as as spinoff to the series, but EA just put the NFS name on it.SRX 17:02, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
That actually is kinda true. Then you can say how it evolved into different systems.SRX 17:10, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
Great. Can you publish the lead in my sandbox where the rest of the list is at? Sure. I think it's a good list, but how many games have been produced under that name?SRX 22:17, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
Sure I don't mind. I can finish up the lead. You think we can be done by tonight? Sure we can work on it after we are done with NFS. What's you email, I don't have the link.SRX 22:48, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
Okay cool. I see no link?--SRX 23:31, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
Yep, it is. Mobygames and Game Rankings.SRX 00:11, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
For the release dates, you should use GameSpot because it also gives you for Japan.SRX 00:14, 1 August 2008 (UTC)

I happened to be checking my watchlist just as you posted your review. I (hope) I have already addressed your concerns, heh. Regards, Resolute 21:45, 31 July 2008 (UTC)

Okay I'm done the lead, and I think I found our DYK fact, the one about the customization of vehicles. Also, in one of the games that you wrote, you put GameCube twice, can't recall at the moment which one.--SRX 01:29, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
I'm done. Just 3 more (I think) and you will be done.--SRX 01:49, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
Also, when you do the releases, do them in ABC order like I did. :) Are you sure you are going to finish it by today, so I can upload the generic NFS logo to put in the article?--SRX 02:26, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
Wow don't I feel smart. Ok I'll move it into the mainspace, get a copyedit by Nikki, upload the image, and nominate it for DYK.--SRX 02:32, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
Well, I'm done. check it out, image uploaded, currently request a CE by Nikki and I am about to nominate it for DYK.SRX 02:46, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
After the copyedit, I will nominate it for FLC. If you are online after Nikkie copyedits it and I'm not, go ahead and co-nominate it w/ me to FLC.--SRX 02:53, 1 August 2008 (UTC)

Oh my bad. I already nominated it here. I think however, we will not get a DYK because I messed up on the hook of the DYK and it was too long and then i made an alternate, but it was not approved, sorry. Also, next time you want to nominate a FLC, put the FLC template in the talk page and follow the link given there, then put a lever 3 header with the articles names wikilinked and then explain why you are nominating it.--SRX 03:00, 2 August 2008 (UTC)
Well we had plans for List of NFL Madden titles no? Also, when expanding this, MobyGames is not reliable per WP:VG/S.--SRX 03:10, 2 August 2008 (UTC)
Don't worry I already replaced them earlier today for NFS. A FT? Sure, but what would be the topic?--SRX 03:18, 2 August 2008 (UTC)
Hmmm, how many are them are GA's? Then we would have to get Cyber Sunday to FLC.--SRX 03:25, 2 August 2008 (UTC)
"up and stuff?"..lol I sent you an email.--SRX 03:36, 2 August 2008 (UTC)
Idk, I don't feel like working on PPV's, SS'03 has got me so fed up and like stressed. How about the Madden list? or a List of tallest buildings, you can pretty much get yourself a DYK out of those.--SRX 14:54, 2 August 2008 (UTC)
I responded to your email and I nominated SS'03 for FA status. OMG, I hope it does good. :)SRX 01:38, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
I don' think we need the email anymore :P. Hopefully, watchlist it!! Eh, NFS has no comments whatsoever. You want to help me with a buildings list?--SRX 01:52, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
May I recommend a new computer?..lol What's wrong with it?--SRX 02:00, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
Well me and Raime are trying to get List of tallest structures in Paris back to FL status. But we haven't started, we have to convert the table into one used in List of tallest buildings in Baltimore. Then we have to source the buildings with refs, which is relatively the easy part. I also recommend (if you haven't so) go to your preferences then click gadgets and add RefTool, it will add a cite button to the toolbox and then you can source pages by just filling out the application.--SRX 02:29, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
I will notify you when we can start. So you didn't use if for NFS?--SRX 02:43, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
Not really, why? I will keep you in the loop :)SRX 03:01, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
Oh okay, cool.SRX 03:54, 3 August 2008 (UTC)

This is just a quick note to say that I've made the changes you requested in your GA review of Association for the Study of Ethnicity and Nationalism. Thanks again for taking a look at it! – SJL 04:53, 2 August 2008 (UTC)

Film/Movie Locations FamousLocaions.com

Hi ThinkBlue, I run a website FamousLocations.com and we list 233,000 movies and 4,600,000 locations around the world. We list movie locations for the movies. We are a free site and offer great movie/film location info and are interested to get listed on the movie pages at Wikipedia for the pages. We have been running since 2001. What do you think? Thanks David —Preceding unsigned comment added by FamousLocations-com (talkcontribs) 13:17, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

I've set up wider discussion here. —Erik (talkcontrib) - 13:28, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
You want to get a DYK?--SRX 14:39, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
Lets created the Building Height Act of 1910, that is for sure to give us a DYK.--SRX 14:41, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
This isn't relatively a buildings list, but a amendment passed by The U.S government. Try to find a good article or featured article or B-class article about an amendment so we can use it as a template.--SRX 14:44, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
Well I meant find an article on Wiki, but I guess we can just do the best we can on our own. Apparently not per SummerSlam's FAC. Ok want to create it in the main space or sandbox?SRX 14:47, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
If we do the actual article we are going to have to create in less than 5 days. For HBK? That sucks.SRX 14:55, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
Try using PW Torch to source it. Okay in my sandbox then.SRX 15:04, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
Why you say that? Umm, I'll start the lead and you can start the sections.SRX 15:22, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
Okay cool. --SRX 15:35, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
Okay I think I'm done the lead. How does it looK?--SRX 16:09, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
I don't think there is a well written one, but if you look at List of United States Legislatures, that is all the acts passed by congress, try looking at those. Also, this source gives the 3 main sections (I dont know if that is all the sections) and gives the exceptions to the law. That file is in PDF format. I'm still searching for all sections.SRX 16:20, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
The wikilink above gives all the acts passed in US History just try to search for a good one and use it as a template.--SRX 16:26, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, I'm just not sure if we are suppose to list all the sections or just the main section. I will create a section that gives examples of building restrictions.SRX 16:34, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
Yeah it works, but from that source I gave you you should write the 3 parts of section 5.SRX 18:04, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
Sorry the wikilink I gave you above was not correct, this is the correct on -->List of United States federal legislationSRX 18:12, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
Just copy and paste it but with italics or a quote template with a source, as that is the main act's points.--SRX 18:19, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

I just got done with my latest pay-per-view, and should have some time now to rewrite the event section for GAB '06 (and write the aftermath in the lead for TT '04). --LAX 01:27, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

I am now obsessed with writing PPVs on my own. I am ten-times better and I get them done so much quicker. Anyways, I'll have the Bash done tomorrow for sure. As for TT, I may have it done tomorrow, I may not. :P --LAX 00:59, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
It should be no problem, It really doesn't take me that long. --LAX 01:07, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
Oh yeah, I published Heights of Buildings Act of 1910 and for DYK, let's see if we get a DYK out of it.SRX 01:27, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
Well kinda, but you found me the source and wrote some of section 5, so it's okay we both contributed.SRX 01:31, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
It's cool. :)SRX 01:36, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
It's okay, no votes of support of opposal but comments for fixes.SRX 01:46, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
You can do that (but only when the name appears once) or you can explain somewhere in the article that pro wrestlers use ring names.--SRX 01:52, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
No problem :)SRX 02:06, 6 August 2008 (UTC)

Deleting old username

Hi ThinkBlue, I was wondering if I could change my old signature here to my present username. I'm trying to get rid of all my sigs from that old username. Thanks! LittleMountain5 15:25, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

Hello, I was just reading through the article and I must say it is terrific. Is there anything you want to do to get it to GA? Alientraveller (talk) 19:20, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

RE: HBK

Spooky! I was just looking through HBK's article. I think the sources look much better, and it's looking pretty good overall. Do we want to try and incorporate the new "out of universe" writing style into the article, or do we want to see how SummerSlam (2003)'s FAC goes first? All the FA reviewers seem pleased with the new style, so I think we should try and incorporate it the best we can...explain the moves better and link real names. We should also try and fix the overlinking problem...some of the wrestlers are linked a lot throughout the article. The last thing I can think of right now is that the MSG incident is mentioned in the lead and in the pic, but not the text. I've got a book that explains it pretty well, so I'll add in some info with the sources (either later tonight or tomorrow, depending on how long it takes me to find the book!). Nikki311 02:59, 6 August 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the helpful feedback. I think I've made all the required changes. Jayjg (talk) 05:47, 6 August 2008 (UTC)

Now how's it look? --LAX 18:50, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
Whoops! At least you know what I meant. ;) --LAX 18:57, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
Sure. I'm about to leave, I'll do it when I get back. I am also planning to make another FAC, if possible with Bad Blood (2003) and a DYK.--SRX 19:00, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
Maybe another feud could be outlined in the background. Other than that, I think it's pretty much done (except for sourcing, which I will probably do later). --LAX 19:05, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
Hmm. I was thinking the London and Kendrick/Pit Bulls feud. Maybe both. --LAX 19:15, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
I'll just find what I can for both. If I can't find much for the divas feud, I won't add it. --LAX 19:19, 6 August 2008 (UTC)

I think i've fixed all the points you raised at Talk:30 Rock. Thanks for the review. -- Jɑɱǐε Jcɑ 23:33, 6 August 2008 (UTC)

GAN Downey jr

Some articles have been nominated for over a month, I think it's a bit unfair for the rest if RDJ gets a reviewer less than five minutes after being nominated. I know its an awesome article and all but I bet Paudge Behan could also build a robot out of scraps in a cave if he was ever given the chance. If you agree with me I'll add a note at the GAN page next to my nom, if you think that you should be able to review whatever you want then its fine by me too. Thaaaaaaanks.--Yamanbaiia(free hugs!) 00:12, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

Nothing personal, I just think its a bit unfair for those other articles, I'll leave it up to you. If you are going to review it now i'd appreciate it if you do it before sunday, i'm leaving the internetz until the 20th at least. I actually thought i'd had at least two weeks before someone picked it up. By the way, who's this batman you speak of? is he one of superman's sidekicks? --Yamanbaiia(free hugs!) 01:06, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
I'll be eternally grateful if you can do it before Sunday. Just kidding about Batman, he's that superhero that can rearrange his facial structure and keeps coming and going and back again right? Oh and...isn't he THAT superhero?--Yamanbaiia(free hugs!) 01:35, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

I think I'm done explaining the moves. I read his entire career, there is still a lot of jargon and poor word choice, before FAC I recommend opening a peer review for it. Also, I recommend placing the prose of the personal life into 1-3 of the same paragraphs.--SRX 00:39, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
The thing is since it's already a GA, you can close the PR anytime you feel it's ready for FAC, as that is one of the outs to a PR. Plus, if you ask FA reviewers, they can help, that is how I got SS'03 ready for FAC.SRX 00:57, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

Back from California

I was in Los Angeles in the past week which is why I haven't been as active around here. I'm back now though – and I've got three music GANs, if you're interested ;) Gary King (talk) 16:44, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

I had lots of fun, but it was really hot and there were always very few clouds. Where I'm from, it rains at least once a day and it's almost always cloudy! Sure, of course that article has FL potential, but it's definitely nowhere near there yet. It will probably require a lot of copyediting in my opinion to get there, because of all the prose. Gary King (talk) 01:32, 8 August 2008 (UTC)

Kirsten Dunst

Not sure, if you've missed it, but there's one bit of the GA review to complete. One sentence doesn't make sense. I would fix and pass it, but I don't know what's wrong. Peanut4 (talk) 20:52, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

No. The main change is still "The film is expected to be release in early of October 2008.[34] is also expected to portray peace activist Marla Ruzicka in Sweet Relief scripted by Lorene Scafaria for Warner Independent Pictures in 2009." There's either a word or a change of sentence structure needed.
I still also think the lead could do with a little bit of copy edit to remove the listy-edge to it. Peanut4 (talk) 22:35, 8 August 2008 (UTC)
It's not so much a matter of removing any film specifically, just make the text more vibrant. E.g. at the moment, first sentence great, second sentence great. Then "In 1990, she did this ..." "In 1994, she did that ..." The last sentence will be fine though once the previous given more context. Second par; "Did this ..." "Did that ..." Rest is then fine. And the third par is top notch.
Just put the third sentence of par one in context, and then say why the first two sentences of the second par are particularly relevant for a lead, and it should be superb. If you want to add anything back in, again say why it's particularly relevant.
Remember, the lead is the most important part of the article. Many readers won't read anything other than that. Peanut4 (talk) 23:40, 8 August 2008 (UTC)
PS, don't worry if I don't respond again tonight, or don't pass it, if everything looks great - I'm on a really slow machine and it's difficult to wait for pages to load!!! Peanut4 (talk) 23:41, 8 August 2008 (UTC)
Obviously in the lead, you cannot list every film, so you have to be selective, which of course you have been. Her first role, her breakthrough role, her most well-known role etc have all been clearly-defined, which is superb. But reading this with a neutral view over Dunst's career, the lead doesn't specify why "In 1990, Dunst starred in The Bonfire of the Vanities, in which she played Tom Hanks' daughter." is more relevant than Star Trek or Little Women. Similarly, I don't know why Virgin Suicides was chosen over any of the other 15 roles since Interview With the Vampire, which is the last to be mentioned.
It's not just about fail/pass GA. Don't get me wrong, most of the lead is good. But one or two subtle but potentially key changes, could make the lead great. Peanut4 (talk) 00:04, 9 August 2008 (UTC)
I'm not sure, but you may have misunderstood my comments at the GAN page. The edit you have just made was to one of the sentences that was fine before. My comment was to add a similar description to the one you have just removed to the other three sentences I mentioned. I think you can undo the last edit, and make three similar small edits to those other sentences. Peanut4 (talk) 21:10, 10 August 2008 (UTC)
There is nothing wrong with mentioning films she's appeared in. There is nothing wrong with the skeleton of your lead. The films you have chosen to use in the lead, must be there for a specific reason. When writing the lead, you must have come up with a particularly cut-off point for various roles, but it doesn't appear obvious at the moment.
I suppose what I'm trying to say is from her 1994 role in Interview with the Vampire and 1999 role in The Virgin Suicides, she had 15 other roles. Another editor could come along and think, for example her role in Anastasia was more important, and change the second line of the current lead to "She also had a speaking role in the 1997 animation Anastasia, in which she played Young Anastasia" and on the face of it the lead is still the same.
Do you know what I mean? Peanut4 (talk) 21:27, 10 August 2008 (UTC)
I've added a full reply on the GA review page. Peanut4 (talk) 21:57, 10 August 2008 (UTC)

Want to help me expand this like WWE SmackDown (video game series).--SRX 13:13, 8 August 2008 (UTC)

This should be more easy than SmackDown because it's a very simple game. I don't know anything about NFS neither but I learn by reading sources. Um, I'll work on the lead while you start the gameplay section, after I'm done the lead I will help you with that section. Read like the game manuals from IGn and read the gameplay, thats what I did w/ SmackDown.--SRX 17:06, 8 August 2008 (UTC)
Doesn't have to be, we need to do it for the FLC of Need for Speed.--SRX 17:22, 8 August 2008 (UTC)
Ok I'm almost done writing the Gameplay, I think writing the reception would be easier for you, no? --SRX 17:16, 9 August 2008 (UTC)
It's okay, I forgot about it to, but I think it is easier for you to do the reception. Just use the one from WWE SmackDown. When you write this section, do not make the prose based on one source, which is what was mentioned in the GAN for WWE SmackDown, use a variety of reviews to explain the ups and downs of the games. How does the gameplay section look? I modeled it after the FA, Crazy Taxi (series).SRX 17:21, 9 August 2008 (UTC)
That is there because of the "installments section", after we are done we can remove that section, so we dont need to worry about the citation tag.SRX 17:37, 9 August 2008 (UTC)
Sure. We can do that PPV. That may well be my last PPV for a while. --SRX 17:52, 9 August 2008 (UTC)
Thanks and yeah, I do need one, I plan on taking one later this month. Okay, I think I'm done the gameplay section, does it live up to the gameplay as the Crazy Taxi (series)?SRX 18:18, 9 August 2008 (UTC)
Thanks! This may actually have a chance at GA and possible FA in the future.SRX 18:32, 9 August 2008 (UTC)
Yep, thanks. Let me know when you are done the reception section.SRX 18:45, 9 August 2008 (UTC)
It's okay, take your time. I wont be on that much today either so..yeaSRX 13:08, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
Sure, I'll get to it later today. Our List of NFS titles is going to fail, after we are done the NFS series article and fix comments on the FLC page, we can nominate again later on.SRX 13:18, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
I completed the copyedit for HBK. Yeah, the 3DO was the starting console, why? Ok so the list failed, I am going to be taking a break later this month, so IDK if I can get to it, but I addressed most of the concerns at the FLC, would you mind answering some of the new concerns addressed and those that are not striked out? SRX 17:21, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
Oh yeah, it should be for the 3DO then.SRX 17:53, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
I'll get to it after I copyedit The Great American Bash (2005).--SRX 20:14, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
I started the OOC CE for JD'05, due to the new format you need to write a reception and then remove the "aftermath" thats in the lead. SRX 22:59, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
Not to be a dick and all, but it will be easier for me to copyedit the article once you complete it, like do the "renovations".SRX 23:31, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
After you write the article in the new format like SS, it will be easier for me to copyedit it, understand now? :)SRX 23:40, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
I can't at the moment, but what do are you having trouble writing in that section?SRX 23:57, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
The capacity is relatively easy to find, using ticket retailers is reliable in this case, so if you engine search Target Center capacity, you can use ticket retailers as a source. What do you mean by the cost?SRX 00:24, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
Use the one for basketball, then say it was cut down due to production of the event like I did in SS '03. The PPV cost is not necessary.SRX 00:40, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

Thank you

Real Madric C F

Not wanting to be rude, but are you actually reviewing this article? The GAN list has it down as under review as of the 2 August, but I can't see any review work started on it. Grateful if you could update the situation as necessary - if you're pushed for time I'd suggest taking the 'under review' note off the GAN list. Cheers. 4u1e (talk) 17:46, 11 August 2008 (UTC)

Sigh. I suppose it is always a bad idea to start off by saying that you don't intend to be rude or to criticise: it always gives the opposite impression. My apologies for any offence caused, none was intended. Nonetheless, it seems a legitimate question. There's a largish backlog in the sports and recreation section, and there have recently been several articles marked as under review that were not (only one of them by you). There seems little point in marking an article as being under review unless you're actually in the process of doing so, as the tag will likely put others off doing the work. However, as you imply, none of my business. Cheers. 4u1e (talk) 16:28, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

OWOW in FAs.

I fail to see how no source at all for that section is better than a source that is generally accepted though not proven 100% reliable. In addition, a current FA uses OWOW as a source for several things that no other RS could be found for. I really don't see how this is a problem. Gavyn Sykes (talk) 03:25, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

I thought that you were (and let me say that the article looks great), but I suppose you're right. Hell, not having those moves sourced may come off better in a FAC than "What makes this a reliable source?" Fair enough then. Gavyn Sykes (talk) 03:43, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
I could have swore that was something on the recent WT:PW archives that some FA reviewer stated OWOW was reliable, but I can't find it. Oh well. Admire me as an editor? Well, I think you're a much better editor than me, but to each his/her own. I guess. Thanks. Gavyn Sykes (talk) 03:57, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
I do do all that, but so most other project members and they have loads of GAs under their belt. I'm sort of a wikifairyish editor. I generally just fix the mistakes of others. Though I am trying to get Matt Sydal to GA if I could only find Personal life info... Gavyn Sykes (talk) 04:05, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
Links two and three are good, thanks. I already used the first one for some move names, but it's written in kayfabe, so there's nothing on his (real) PL there. Anway, I plan to do a bit more work on the article and put it up for peer review soon enough. Gavyn Sykes (talk) 04:17, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
I've done that and it yielded me some great stuff. Quick question, what's the policy on "official" Myspace pages? And how can we tell if they are real? Gavyn Sykes (talk) 04:28, 14 August 2008 (UTC)

It looks good so far, just a few things. Instead of saying "Pro wrestling is a ....." reword it to how I reworded it in SummerSlam (2003)'s lead, it flows more. Also, because UF '05 is a brand exclusive event, write it how I copyedited Armageddon (2006)'s lead, it also flows more. Also, remove the paragraph about the feuds in the lead and add a little bit about the reception, other than that, the lead works.SRX 21:40, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
There we go, great job. I need to start doing that to my other GA's, ehh, I hate this new format now (haha and I created it)--SRX 23:23, 14 August 2008 (UTC)

What do you mean?SRX 01:01, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
I see, but it doesn't hurt to archive, I think you should incorporate the table so you can remove all these threads. You know you have a bunch of GA's that you are "reviewing", but you haven't reviewed them since you tagged them, just saying. Think it's best for that table.--SRX 01:17, 15 August 2008 (UTC)

Olympic road race GA

Greetings. I noticed you indicated that you would review Cycling at the 2008 Summer Olympics - Men's road race for the GA criteria. I thought I'd let you know that the article is quite stable at this point, and (unless images specific to the event are found) the only further edits are likely to be minor housekeeping matters. I plan on taking my long wiki break next week, so I will finish up my CE requests and that will be it for the week, I have Unforgiven more than 1/2 done (I think). I will finish it up tomorrow.--SRX 02:29, 19 August 2008 (UTC)

I'll try to squeeze BB tomorrow, good luck in college, what college you going 2? Not to sound like a dick, but can you reply on the last thread of my talk page, I hate scrolling in the middle of the page :) --SRX 02:40, 19 August 2008 (UTC)

I will give you feedback on Bad Blood tomorrow. Oh' thats cool, what are you majoring in? In all honestly, in it's current state no, but with work yes. The main thing is there is poor word choice and some of the explanation is very wordy. Since this was written before the new format, its in this format because some of the prose is very long as well.--SRX 02:56, 20 August 2008 (UTC)
No it's not rude, it was just a copyedit, you never know I may have missed something.--SRX 03:19, 20 August 2008 (UTC)

Ohh, lol I see now. :p SRX 13:44, 20 August 2008 (UTC)
I copedited Bad Blood for you, their were still some flaws but I fixed them. One thing you need to watch out for when writing these PPV's, you go way into much detail for the BG and AM, look at SS'03's aftermath, I was told to cut it down and I did, you don't have to write like another BG section for the AM, just summarize. For the BG, you don't have to list every detail like they were booked in a match for tag team match after the attack, not relevant to the rivalry. Check here for the difference. Sorry to sound like a dick. :)--SRX 14:27, 20 August 2008 (UTC)
Looks much better, you should also cut down the BG a little bit as well.SRX 16:58, 20 August 2008 (UTC)

No problem, you deserve it.--WillC 17:24, 20 August 2008 (UTC)
No problem, I just happened to see the new section added and didn't think the title would be a nice message so I decided to check it out. Just did what was right. Anyway, I was getting ready to ask you a question, so I guess it all fell into place. If you have time later can you ready an article for me to tell me how it sounds?--WillC 23:48, 23 August 2008 (UTC)
Well at the moment I'm working on it. Last minute fixes before I nominate it for GA. It is Sacrifice (2008). I had a peer review a while back but because of the new changes in PPVs for Out of Universe almost everything in it has been changed and I was wanting a very good opinion from someone who knows if it will survive the GA review. After I'm finished with the changes I'll tell you. I need to make sure there is no over linking and explain the moves and better explain the matches. So I'll tell you here in a few minutes. Thanks for the help.--WillC 00:11, 24 August 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, I'm done with it. I got side tracked so it took me longer than I wanted it too. Just for you to know, I use the words, followed by, then, and Before the match alot. I have tried to make it sound as good as I can make it. I've been working on alot of other articles so this one hasn't been number one priority to me. Again thanks for the help. I'm off to nominate it for GA.--WillC 03:16, 24 August 2008 (UTC)
Hey, how are you doing? Well I have Sacrifice done. I've read through it and it sounds okay to me. The review should fix everything else and your input will help as well. I would review unforgiven and Judgment day for you but I'm not sure what a FA is at the moment, so I'm sorry I can't really give anything on my end. I await for your feed back for a pre-GA review.--WillC 18:21, 25 August 2008 (UTC)
Done and thanks for the feed back.--WillC 22:05, 25 August 2008 (UTC)

Al Gore

Hi ThinkBlue,

Thanks so much for reviewing the Al Gore article. Your insights were very helpful. All of your suggestions seem to be an easy fix - it's just a matter of the time it takes to go through them. Rather than leaving a long trail on the Al Gore page, I'll just let you know when I've finished going through them. Regards, -Classicfilms (talk) 19:39, 20 August 2008 (UTC)

A minor question

I do have one minor question. You had requested the references use the {{cite web}}: Empty citation (help) format. I'm not certain what should be changed since they use this format - which is the vertical, rather than horizontal, version of {{cite web}}: Empty citation (help): [1]

If you could clarify this suggestion, I would appreciate it. Thanks -Classicfilms (talk) 19:47, 20 August 2008 (UTC)

Got it - missed those references in the intro. Great, as long as the vertical format is ok, I'm going to go ahead and fix #11 and others that lack it. The rest seems clear, it's just a matter of doing it. I'll let you know when I'm done. Thanks again, -Classicfilms (talk) 20:24, 20 August 2008 (UTC)

GAN fixes

I've completed the GAN fixes for Al Gore - at least as far as I can tell, I might have missed a date or two. Perhaps you can take a look and see if anything else needs to be done? -Classicfilms (talk) 00:08, 21 August 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for all of your hard work! -Classicfilms (talk) 00:55, 22 August 2008 (UTC)

One more request

Hi ThinkBlue,

I wonder if you could help with one more thing - I am having difficulty combining the article history template for Al Gore with the GA template - I wonder if I could ask you to do so and to update the article history with the GA status? Thanks. -Classicfilms (talk) 01:10, 22 August 2008 (UTC)

Is it an automatic change or do I need to contact this person? -Classicfilms (talk) 01:16, 22 August 2008 (UTC)
Great! Thanks. -Classicfilms (talk) 01:17, 22 August 2008 (UTC)
Ok, I've placed a peer review request. Thanks for the suggestion. -Classicfilms (talk) 01:30, 22 August 2008 (UTC)

Could you do me a favor?

I see you that you seem to have a thing for GA reviews. In keeping with the unofficial rule of reviewing an article when you nominate one, I decided to review Harmon Killebrew. I put it on hold for a week, and the editors addressed most of my concerns. However, I'm still not certain it should be passed, and have asked for a second opinion at WP:GAN. No one has yet come in to offer that second opinion.

It shouldn't take very long (the article is really close, but for some reason I'm still kind of hesitating to pass it), and I'd really appreciate it if you could help me out. Thanks. (and thanks for passing the cycling article! :) ) Don't fall asleep zzzzzz 23:01, 22 August 2008 (UTC)

Whatever you can do. The editors don't seem to terribly mind being in GA purgatory, so if they (and I) need to wait further for a second opinion, that is OK. Don't fall asleep zzzzzz 23:06, 22 August 2008 (UTC)
You obviously have much more experience than I do :P Thank you very much. Don't fall asleep zzzzzz 23:32, 22 August 2008 (UTC)

You reverted my edits on the Mitchell Reiss article, I am not sure why?

"Mitchell Reiss is Republican Candidate Mitt Romney’s national security advisor"

Mitt Romney dropped out of the election in February, I doubt he keeps his full campaign staff months after dropping out.

"and is currently U.S. Special Envoy to Northern Ireland, with the diplomatic rank of Ambassador, having succeeded Richard Haass in this role."

He was replaced with Paula Dobriansky in 2007.

http://www.state.gov/r/pa/prs/ps/2007/79217.htm

"Reiss is expected to step down from his role in Northern Ireland on January 31, 2007, and will be followed by Paula Dobriansky."

He has been replaced and it is now August 2008. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.19.222.40 (talk) 21:36, 26 August 2008 (UTC)

De-linking

Is there any particular reason you are going through and de-linking all dates in PPV articles? At the very least the date in the infobox should be linked. TJ Spyke 17:10, 27 August 2008 (UTC)

To add on, there is nothing saying that linking dates is not allowed, just that it's not standard practice anymore (it also does not say anything about going through and de-linking ones already linked). Please stop doing this until it can be discussed, I don't feel like going back and undoing your good intentions. TJ Spyke 17:17, 27 August 2008 (UTC)

Am really good at FC'ing Raining Blood or any DLC, and I'm waiting for World Tour Its going to be awesome =] )

Feedback

Real busy. Im on an organization that gets busy when there is a campus event. Anyway, thanks for the congratulation. I think the article is really good, especially that you got lots of talk in the background section and there are already the most important aspects of a song-related article. Maybe you have to bulk up other sections and the music and lyrics is a bit POVic because of the words/phrases like "ambient intro" and "brings an electrifying jolt to the striking piano melody" typical of a song review article. --Efe (talk) 11:56, 29 August 2008 (UTC)

I just came back today, but I will try little by little as I am limited by school.--SRX 22:29, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
Seems good too. --Efe (talk) 07:45, 30 August 2008 (UTC)rs
Stupid answer too. I don't know how. Hehe. But as far as uploading in concern, I think you'll just hit the same button: Upload File. However, the audio sample should be of 30 seconds length. I dont know how to do it, do you? --Efe (talk) 06:14, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
It depends upon the presentation of the subject. Those files are added to enhance understanding. If its for decorative purposes only, it fails to comply our non-free content criteria. --Efe (talk) 03:49, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
Always welcome. You may consult Giggy about uploading audio samples. --Efe (talk) 02:40, 2 September 2008 (UTC)
I sometimes suck at grammar and I really dont have a good copy edit. But with the unfamiliar subject, maybe it can help me spot some minor glitches. I'll try. BTW, I'll be working on some Coldplay-related articles someday. Hope I'll have the time to do so. --Efe (talk) 02:51, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

I even have problems with this so I dont know if I can satisfy you. Anyway, I'll try my best. Yah. I have the interest in getting articles to GA status when there are lots of online sources and I got a handful of Coldplay articles. We can collaborate buddy. I am just hoping I'll have the time. Getting busy in school. --Efe (talk) 03:06, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

That's true. Everything we do, it applies. Cheers. --Efe (talk) 00:14, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
That's my third. Thanks. I'll check it later, I still have my class. --Efe (talk) 00:24, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
Seems ok. All major aspects of the topic are there. Maybe the music video section needs some more. --Efe (talk) 11:28, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
Hey, its fine. I can handle your pleases if I have time. I actually dont read it wholly but seeing the major aspects of the subject are there, then it will absolutely pass. =) --Efe (talk) 11:03, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

Peer review request

I don't know if you usually do peer reviews, but if you've got time, could you review What's It Gonna Be (Beyoncé Knowles song) at Wikipedia:Peer review/What's It Gonna Be (Beyoncé Knowles song)/archive1? It's a really short article but I'm looking for reviews anyways, since it would most likely fail a GAN so I won't even try with that. Thanks in advance! Nothing Offensive...

I want to be a psychiatrist and I wanted to know her views on things like that trying to learn how peoples minds work when they think about stuff like atheism and the lifestyle of a vegeterian. Nikki311 was both of those and I finally found somebody who might be able to express her views on things like that. Didn't mean anything offensive by the way just wanting to know her views on such things. No need to get upset about it. I feel no need to apologize about the situation so I will leave it at that, by saying to bad for her that she didn't want to share her views on her beliefs with me, but I will find somebody who does. —Preceding unsigned comment added by HairyPerry (talkcontribs) 18:25, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

Cite Web" template on Viva la Vida

That website has mostly inaccurate information. For instance, they invent a "Belgian Singles Chart" when there is no Belgian Singles Chart, and Officially, there is separate Flanders and Walloonia Charts. As well as the addition of a Chart which cannot be trusted, The "United World Chart", which had its large Wikipedia article deleted this past summer since the chart was so misleading. It does have some useful information, such as (in my expierience), a mostly accurate German Singles Chart, which is useful since Media Control does not release an official chart. Also they have additions of largely unreliable charts such as the Argentina, Brazil, and Chile Singles Charts. Also, there were far too many charts, as WP:CHARTS states no more than 18 charts should exist on a page, and before the edit spree, there was 17, room enough for one more.24.111.234.4 (talk) 18:41, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

It has a a chance, but it needs work, like tweaking to comply with MOS.--SRX 00:05, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
I don't have time at them moment to go in-depth, but like minor issues that become an issue at FAC, like it did for SS03, like grammar (a big one) and the length of the article and the way the jargon is explained.--SRX 00:10, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
HBK has a strong chance at FAC, the only thing stopping it is the grammatical issues, but other than that it looks like a strong candidate, I would focus more on HBK as it has a better chance than your PPV articles (no offense).--SRX 00:16, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
LMAO! I didn't mean it in a bad way, I mean you have several GA's of your own, and SS03 wouldn't have passed without the PR and the many comments at FAC, it was about to fail but I was lucky it got restarted. But you've worked harder on HBK than on any other article and you should focus on that before you focus on a PPV.--SRX 00:24, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, I haven't really been as active lately. Thank you! I plan on nominating it for FA status (you know, after the waiting period). I think it should have no real problems. What do you think? Does it look good to you? --LAX 23:03, 7 September 2008 (UTC)
Thanks! Well, the GA reviewer brought that up, so I just added it. It's really not that big of a deal, IMO. CANOE is a website, not a magazine. So, yeah. It shouldn't be capitalized. --LAX 00:28, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, bad ass match for sure, HBK for FA will be a no brainer.SRX 20:04, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
Nope, because if his name is already spelled out fully (real/fake name) in the prose, no need for it in the image caption.--SRX 20:18, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
Hmmm, I don't think I can commit myself to it due to school, completing these type of articles take less time. I can probably only format the table and some of the lead and you can do the history, and another section that would be good would be a reception section, but in this way I think it would qualify more for GA than FL.SRX 20:27, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
I'm not working on anything else. Sure which one?SRX 20:53, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
So far so good, notify me before you nominate it for FL so i can give it a pre FLC review.SRX 20:59, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, there is no restriction that you have to go in order, it's okay to just go ahead with what you want to complete, its like the PPV's.SRX 21:12, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
No problem :)SRX 21:27, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
I might, I might not. I would like it to pass an FA, but I would have to really work hard for that to happen. I needs alot of work. But who knows? I might just work on something else. --LAX 21:53, 8 September 2008 (UTC)

Thanks heaps for taking the time to review the article - I'm really happy about that one, as it was the first (and only) new article that I've created. :) - Bilby (talk) 16:35, 11 September 2008 (UTC)

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask at the project talk page, and add it to your watchlist, if it isn't already.

Again, hi! Optigan13 (talk) 00:38, 11 September 2008 (UTC)

I think its now ready for a GA status. Please check. --Efe (talk) 11:47, 11 September 2008 (UTC)

Thank you. By the way, how about our collabo? --Efe (talk) 00:10, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
I think I'm done with Destiny Fulfilled. Please check and thanks for the review. --Efe (talk) 12:29, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
I have now fulfilled your request, two GAs for Coldplay-related songs: "Clocks" and "Yellow". --Efe (talk) 01:05, 15 September 2008 (UTC)
Not for now, I have three: Parachutes, A Rush of Blood to the Head, and X&Y. Wanna help? --Efe (talk) 00:13, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
I have started all three and I think the first two are in good stand. I am planning to nominate them altogether. --Efe (talk) 06:16, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
Of course yes! I'll help you also get the three out in that GAN room. --Efe (talk) 07:46, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

"Speed of Sound" now a GA. Grats. And good luck on the WikiCup. You need more. Hehe. =) --Efe (talk) 08:08, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

Almost done with X&Y. --Efe (talk) 09:31, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

Hey.

Hey ThinkBlue. I was just wondering do you have anything against me, I know we've never talked to each other, but every time I send a message to you, you never reply to my message. So I was just wondering do you have anything against me?. Save Us.Y2J

You haven't offended me, and when I used to ask you questions about Triple H's photo, that was in the past and I believe we are over that. And if you ever want talk to me, just add me on Yahoo. It's [email protected]. I won't bother you anymore because you are a GA reviewer, and working on articles. Save Us.Y2J

Doesn't No Mercy have to get past the waiting list? Save Us.Y2J

What's your Yahoo? Save Us.Y2J

I added you, all I have to do now is wait. Save Us.Y2J

Come on, one more

Could you please review Nevado del Ruiz? You know you want to... :) —Sunday Note 12:58, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I'm trying to feature this tragedy. Eventually... —§unday His Grandiloquence 01:45, 14 September 2008 (UTC)

PR for HBK

I will comment on the PR, but since i'm so used to the article, my eyes won't catch everyhting. I recommend having FA reviewers or even GA reviewers to come check it out to find faults in it, thats what I did and just look at how it turned out.--SRX 19:45, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

First start with known people, like Nikki and Nici, then try BrianBoulton, but he's on Vacation right now, try User:Giants2008, User:Malleus Fatuorum, User:Giggy, and User:Ealdgyth (for ref checks).--SRX 19:50, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, its good to ask, if they say no, then go to other people. Go to the FAC page and just ask anybody who has commented on an FAC. (thats how I found those people)--SRX 20:01, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
I dont think so, I just asked everybody at the same time and eventually they all pulled through.--SRX 20:08, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
Looks good so far, but I'm pretty sure that seasons and episodes coincide with their numbers no? Like since its the ninth season, wouldn't it be Ep. 912? Also, a comma is needed somewhere in the first part of the first sentence in the second paragraph (cant get the exact point where as of writing this message). Question, where are you getting the plots from or are you writing it yourself?--SRX 20:26, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
Oh okay, I see now, I didn't see the "prod. code" to the right :) Looks good so far.SRX 20:44, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
It looks like the simpsons the voice actors had also won awards, and also won more awards than SP. Also, I think their season was longer and it looks like they gave a bit more info in the lead and DVD release section. SRX 21:00, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

Re:HBK

Hey, I'll try to look at it either tonight or tomorrow. iMatthew (talk) 21:38, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

Yep, you do that.--SRX 21:48, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
I also commented on the PR (my first comments). True, you should add the explanation and the fact that he won it when he won the final title to complete the GSC. --SRX 21:59, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
Sigh, WWE really needs new writers XD. His Euro reign was the final to complete it, not the WHC, he had already won the WWF title, so no need for the WHC reign. So explain it during his Euro reign.--SRX 22:08, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
I replied.--SRX 22:34, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
Hmm, I would say something like to Hunter Hearst Hemsley, who was often referred to as Triple H (HHH),..etc.--SRX 22:45, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
Okay, +comments to PR from me.SRX 22:53, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

About the edit war

You left me a message about being in a edit war with AltCrash over Kirsten Storms page. AltCrash seems to have ignored your message and went back to editing it. The user is editing it to Kirsten Storms is engaged to Elias Reidy. It is not true. Kirsten herself has said she is not engaged. The reason for this is because a friend of Stacey Winter, who is married to Ronnie Winter posted it on the Red Jumpsuit board (http://theredjumpsuit.proboards23.com/index.cgi?board=discussion&action=display&thread=2691) that he proposed for her birthday. But, Kirsten herself said that she is not engaged in a article that came out in late June/early July (http://i31.tinypic.com/263gdg8.png). I know, that it could be said that she doesn't want fans to know, but in the thread, the friend says that she is sure that they don't mind fans knowing. So it is false. A spokesperson for GH even stated in a Daytime Emmy Article, which happened in mid June, that the rumors are simply rumors. SpoiledTink (talk) 09:09, 14 September 2008 (UTC)

Re: Book info.

Sorry, I've had no time whatsoever today to look. I'll look tomorrow if I get a minute. Regards, D.M.N. (talk) 21:20, 15 September 2008 (UTC)

Right I can't find anything about a hand injury. As for the other bit.... (pg ref is 203 and 204)

The next day, we had a television taping in Poughkeepsie. When I arrived at the building, Vince told me he wanted to talk. "Shawn, we are going to switch you to babyface."

"What! It's because of the kickout, isn't it?" [refence to something the previous night at WMXI]

"It was a bad call on my part. I admit it."

"Why is it affecting me? I'm the only heel that you have."

"They like you, the people like you, Shawn."

"They like me, but they like me to hate me. Now is not the time. You make the mistake and it costs me in my career!" I was not happy.

"We're going to have Sid drop you—injure you—tonight, and you'll go home for six weeks."

I was so frustrated, so bummed. We had told him that the people were going to boo. "Vince," I said, "I would never tell you how to run your entire business, but please, leave the wrestling to me."

Then I went and told Kevin what was happening. "They're taking me off for six weeks."

"What for?"

"They are turning me babyface."

"It's because of the kickout, isn't it!"

What could we do? Sid turned on me that night. He attacked me from behind and powerbombed me three times before Kevin rushed to the ring and chased him off. I was now injured and off on a six-week paid vacation.

Hope that's OK. D.M.N. (talk) 18:24, 16 September 2008 (UTC)

HBK

Hey, I'm sorry I haven't finished my review of HBK. I've been really busy and plan on finishing it. I have alot of crap happening in my life right now and I'm trying to get all the ppvs I've been writing done this week. I'll get to it either today or tomorrow.--WillC 22:07, 15 September 2008 (UTC)

I just didn't want you to think that I just did the lead and quit, I was planing on finishing that is why I didn't sign my comments but some crap came up and I got distracted.--WillC 22:18, 15 September 2008 (UTC)
Okay, well how have you been? While I'm here I thought to ask.--WillC 22:24, 15 September 2008 (UTC)
I'm glad to hear. Just stressed beyond belief. A lot of crap in real has been screwing up. Plus I have No Surrender (2008), Hard Justice (2008), Victory Road (2008), Slammiversary (2008), and Destination X (2008) to all get done this week. As well as I have Sacrifice (2008) as a GAN and I have Lockdown (2008) up for peer review for FA. I have stress at home and stress on here, though somehow I handle it very well. If you met me in-person you could not tell one bit. But other than that I'm fine. I'm watching the main event for No Surrender. But enough about me, how are you coming on anything you're doing?--WillC 22:37, 15 September 2008 (UTC)
I actually don't have a deadline but I wanted to have all those done by the time TNA starts to build Bound for Glory IV. Since I plan to make it an FA. I want all of my attention place towards it. Well good luck on that.--WillC 23:11, 15 September 2008 (UTC)

Hey Blue, I just wanted to let you know I haven't forgot about the PR, I've just been very very busy. I'll try to take a look at it tonight. iMatthew (talk) 10:18, 16 September 2008 (UTC)

Did you find the book sources and did you change monikers to ring name?SRX 20:58, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
Okay, but I'll get to the review probably today, I can already feel today isn't going to be fun so it is still 50/50.--WillC 21:22, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
NO! you do not have to do that. I was going to comment on it no matter what. I need to start pulling more weight around here than just placing articles up for peer review and GA review. You aren't making me do anything, I'm just helping out a friend.--WillC 21:27, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
Hey don't worry about my stuff. Hard Justice can't go up for GA till November, because the DVD is not out yet. Lockdown is going to get reviews by probably every FA reviewer because I left a message at everyone who reviewed SummerSlam (2003) asking them to review it. I don't need anything in return. I got one review for Lockdown on its first go around at peer review and it made it through the out of universe change and three GA reviews at one time to finally get to GA. I don't really need that many reviews. Look at GAB 05 and NO Mercy 05. They didn't have peer reviews after GA before FAC. GAB 05 made it and No Mercy might make it.--WillC 21:37, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
Well I'm talking like before FA. I remember the old GAB 05 review before GA review but I was talking like, peer review, GA review, peer review, FA review. I never read JD 05. I'll take a look at it though.--WillC 21:52, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
Okay, yeah I was thinking about reading and giving some comments before you said anything but I wasn't sure if I was going to do it. I noticed you only got a few comments on its peer review so I felt she needs more feed back. I do know that Unforgiven 05 will make it though.--WillC 22:00, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
Okay, that is because I look at user pages. Plus you also give off the vibe you're a girl. Also I'm physic. I can see you have brown hair, you are around 5'7, and your nickname is thinkblue I'm not even close. Yes I believe Unforgiven is well written. Crap I think Lockdown is terrible but I got told by two people outside of the project it is well written. So if I think it is good then it must be good. no grantees.--WillC 22:28, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
Okay, off by four inches. Crap. Thanks. Glad to hear it is good.--WillC 21:45, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
Shitty. Lockdown and Hard Justice still have no reviews and I don't expect any. I don't really care about them anyways. How is HBK?--WillC 22:20, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
Maybe later. I'm still not sure what I'm doing. Life is catching up to me again.--WillC 22:28, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
Only if you want. It doesn't matter to me either way. After Turning Point (2008) I'm taking a break. Hopefully by then I'll be in school and everything in real life will not be so hard along with this crap I keep doing. IT! is amazing how addictive this is when you are bored as hell. But I don't want to whine about my problems. How is life treating you? Real life not Internet.--WillC 00:45, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

Fixed all the problems pointed out. Thanks for reviewing the page. --Be Black Hole Sun (talk) 12:43, 17 September 2008 (UTC)

Contractions

Hi there. I've reviewed In My Place and God Put a Smile upon Your Face, but during the reviews I noticed one general point. You shouldn't really use contractions in mainspace articles when they are not in quotes, i.e. I've and shouldn't that I have already used(!!) but also "who's" or "he's" that were in the articles. Peanut4 (talk) 21:28, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

Not a worry at all. I just wanted to point it out to you to help you in future. The main point in the policy you referred to is "In English, contractions are commonly used in speech and informal writing." I.e. it's alright to use it in speech as I said, but informal writing would not include an encyclopedia or similar writing. Peanut4 (talk) 21:42, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
Honestly no need to apologise. The easiest thing to remember is you can use them in quotes but don't otherwise use them in mainspace. I've added one more point in each of the two reviews and otherwise they should be ready. Peanut4 (talk) 21:53, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

Hi ThinkBlue, thanks for reviewing the article. I've tried to work on the points you brought up, and commented on them. The main one, i think, is the references using the citebook template. I've got all book refs listed using that template at the bottom of the article. But when the book refs appear in the footnotes they are only in shortened form (like here: WP:CITESHORT). Is that ok?--Celtus (talk) 10:04, 19 September 2008 (UTC)

Thanks alot for the review. :) --Celtus (talk) 08:49, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

Unfortunately Blue, I'm not going to have time to finish Michaels review. I have too much on my hands right now, and Michaels article is way too long. I hope you forgive me! RE

Hey, thanks. Sorry I haven't replied yet, and finished my HBK review, but a town that is 5 miles away from mine had a type of fun day called Cow Days, real redneck, you could even milk a cow in the middle of town if you wanted. So I went to it today and yesterday, I haven't been working on here much because of it. I'll take care of your comments and finish mine on HBK. How has your weekend been so far?--WillC 05:54, 21 September 2008 (UTC)

You know what I'm planning to do next? Make No Way Out (2004), a good article and one that failed FAC twice, another FAC, and this time pass. Wouldn't that be awesome?..lol--SRX 23:03, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
With work, it can happen, by the end of the year the project may have over 20 FA's!--SRX 20:26, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
lol, we can do it if the project puts their mind to it.--SRX 20:33, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
Going slowly, just need more comments on the PR, if not, I think I will just let it go straight to FAC, but first I need a copyedit from Nikki.--SRX 20:38, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
I'll see if I'll take my chances :) You do have a choice, HBK!. I will close it after nominating it for FA, I can close it myself.SRX 21:11, 22 September 2008 (UTC)

Why have u given up?

Keep going, nominate it right now, learn from it, and if it fails, you know what to do to make it pass next time, that's how I took SS 03, which if you saw closely, almost failed.--SRX 21:28, 22 September 2008 (UTC)

Well that's one voice, I disagree with what he said because if you were to explain every feud that would make the article very long and thats what PPV's are for now, his career shouldn't even detail feud by feud.--SRX 21:38, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
I know I would say that, but I can't speak for the FAC reviewers. How about nominating it for A-Class? Can you take a look at No Way Out (2004) and check out the difference. June 7, 2008 and current revision.--SRX 21:49, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
You will just need I think its' two people to review the article, I'm not sure whether from the project or outside it. Thanks, now I just got to write the reception and nominate it for PR then FAC.--SRX 21:58, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
Like it is in SummerSlam (2003) and No Way Out (2004), don't have the explanation on me, why?SRX 22:26, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
Oh, well you are going to have to explain it since it is likely he will use it again in the match right? Also remember there is a new of doing it by embedding the explanation.SRX 23:01, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
Yep, still explain it.--SRX 23:24, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
a move in which Angle tried slamming Booker down by spinning him and lifting him to a 90°, into a small package, a pinning maneuver in which the opponent falls backwards while turning, which the opponent hooks the far leg with their legs and the opponent's other leg with their free arm, ending up on top of the opponent, pinning their shoulders against the mat. How about, No need for the move name here.SRX 23:56, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
My bad I meant, Angle tried to lift and twist Booker 90 degrees to slam him down, but Booker grabbed Angle's leg and rolled him into a pinfall. Comments would be appreciated on NWO's PR :)SRX 23:24, 23 September 2008 (UTC)

Hi ThinkBlue. I have recently listed the above mentioned article for a GA review. It has been a GA nominee for about a week now. However, I am greatly desirous of receiving a review for the article. I would appreciate it if you could review it, if you find the time. Your comments would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance, --Jordan Contribs 13:55, 23 September 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for your review. I am currently busy improving the article as per your suggestions. Jordan Contribs 08:37, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
Done. I have fixed up the references, added inline citations, expanded the lead and generally improved. What do you think? Jordan Contribs 09:34, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
I've touched up the last few rough spots. I think its ready. Jordan Contribs 08:22, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
Only one of those references has a problem. The others are all named references, which changes the format and appearance. Reference twelve has been corrected and modified. Jordan Contribs 17:08, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
No longer a dead reference. Have fixed. Jordan Contribs 06:11, 26 September 2008 (UTC)

Hiya, Thinkblue. You recently reviewed No Age as a GA candidate. My good friend EnjoiNico and I are working on all of the improvements you listed. For starters, one question:

Thanks for the peer review of Hard Justice (2008). I'll read HBK again after you close the peer review. Also here in a little bit I'm going to read Judgment Day (2005) and give some comments. Just thought to give you a heads up. Would you like me to read anything else for you?--WillC 23:40, 23 September 2008 (UTC)

Hey don't give up hope. I'll help you with it if you want. I feel you can get it to FA. Go head and continue with HBK. Also just for you to know, I like him. He is cool so if you want me too, I'll review that when I find time. I can only be on the computer for two hours a day since I need to make a schedule for stuff I do everyday. I really liked him in Thank You for Smoking. I'll probably start the review for JD around when ECW comes on since that is the when I start my two hours a day. I just get on for about 5 minutes every little bit when I need a break.--WillC 01:16, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
Okay, I've reviewed Judgment Day (2005). The link can be found here.--WillC 07:37, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
Okay, I left some of my own. Yeah, I thought the Dark Knight was good but didn't live up to all the hype. Plus the way it ended made me go "what?". "Who the hell is he going to fight now?". I've been thinking about expanding an article outside of wrestling. I just happened to notice Thank You for Smoking. I think when I find time, I'll expand that article. What do you think?--WillC 21:11, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
I'm not saying it was bad. I enjoyed it but I just wish they didn't have to kill Two face. Riddler is the next villain which I'm looking forward too but it would have been better if two face stayed around. I'm going to buy it on DVD. I just saw a few problems with it. It was probably the best movie this year so far but I still think it had its problems. Plus my grandmother got in a wreck when I was watching it so I was too worried about her than the movie but I was with someone and I was told my grandmother was fine so I couldn't leave. First I have to get all this other stuff done but I can work on TYFS. I have the world X Cup, all the 08 ppvs by TNA, and the Impact video game. Also to make it clear, I liked the movie, it wasn't bad, if you want to talk about a bad movie then watch the third mummy. Were they drunk when they made it. It had a great storyline, but shitty flow.--WillC 21:26, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
Oh I agree, Ledger did a great job. Why get excited about anything? What is the point of being excited at all? You're only given misery in return. Damn I need to quit letting people read poetry to me because I'm bored. I was looking forward to the mummy. Then it got here and I went to see it and got pissed. I thought it was a decent movie, I might buy it. But I just wish they could have done better. If I don't then who will? The only other guy I saw expanding them is blocked until further notice. Plus I have a plan that I'm going to make all the 08 ppvs FAs, then make a list of 08 ppvs. Take it to FL and have a Featured Topic if that will work.--WillC 21:41, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
What? I'm not angry. I'm a little upset I keep hearing Lockdown is too long. When if you go look at the event section it is near the same length as GAB 05 and SS 03. For a ppv that has every match inside a steel cage and TNA has gotten what a singles match it is kind of hard to make something under 40 kilobytes. Believe me, I'm addicted to this freaking thing. You aren't going to see retried on my user page. You may see blocked when I get pissed one day. Probably around the beginning of next year is when I'll take a break. I'm home schooled. I'm trying to go back this winter. If I go I'll be going to a school that is around 30 miles away. I'll get in all the sports. You will not see retired but you will see someone who isn't on as much.--WillC 21:57, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
Damn, did you think you had enough pictures? Well just go to User:Wrestlinglover/Lockdown (2008) and see what it once was and now, the whole Evolution of it all if you what to use the terme. At one point I believe it was over 60 kilobytes. Now it is 45. I can get it to 42 or 41, but that means resourcing it and removing two of the table boxes. Thanks for liking my enthusiasm. That shows that people can tell I'm crazy. Right now I have no personnel life. I asked a girl out a few weeks ago and she said she had a boyfriend. I am working on this other girl who I asked out a few months ago and she said she had a boyfriend. Then I saw her Saturday for the first time in two or more years. She wants to hang out again. Which is very interesting. First she turns me down, and now she wants to hang with me. I must damn pretty. Plus a girl that I have been wanting to go out with since 04, but always is with a dude so I can't talk to her, is finally single and a friend of mine is probably about to go out with her after I told the retard that I wanted to go out with her. Hopefully God will be nice and let him screw up and then I get the shot.--WillC 22:27, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
I'm just joking. Oh I think it will all come along in due time. I'm too busy and stressed for a girlfriend at this moment. I don't want someone bitching on me all the time. WOMEN!!? oh shit I forgot, I'm sorry (lol)!--WillC 21:51, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
Good. Now I wish I knew you in real life. Because all the girls I know are bitchy. I only knew one girl that wasn't, and she turned out to be a slut. I do not have good luck. They are coming along. I'll have No Surrender (2008) finished tonight. I'm working on Slammiversary (2008) and I'm hoping that I have it finished by Saturday. Here is what it looks like in my sandbox. Working a little on Victory Road (2008) in my sandbox. Hoping to have it finished soon. While I'm also working on Bound for Glory IV in my sandbox since it is TNA's main ppv and I do not want IPs to be screwing it up. So far alot of activity is on the article with only three matches. No telling what it would be like if I had the background out in the open. Lockdown is still under review. Sacrifice still has not been reviewed at GAN. Been trying to work on Destination X (2008).--WillC 22:19, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
Well you're nice. That is why probably. Okay. It will probably be a while. I really need to stay focused on certain things. So how is your stuff coming?--WillC 22:39, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
If I were you I would take Unforgiven to FAC. I feel it is ready. When I find time. I'll read Unforgiven again as well as Bad Blood 04.--WillC 23:10, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
Don't worry about JD. It will probably pass. I'm afraid for Lockdown though. So far SRX has found all sorts of problems with the lead. I feel it is going to be just like the first peer review. I'll get to BB maybe tonight or tomorrow.--WillC 23:26, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
If anyone will fail it will be me. Don't worry. I'll help you if you want. I'll help take care of all the little problems in the review that come up. Yeah you're probably right but he always wants me to remove background to matches and just keeps saying it is too long. The thing isn't that long. It is just the way I write. So I'll probably be the one to fail because of adding more than four matches.--WillC 23:49, 25 September 2008 (UTC)

Sure thing (I loved him as Two Face), but it'll have to wait until tomorrow, if that's all right? I'm off to class soon. María (habla conmigo) 20:09, 24 September 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for drawing my attention to this article on my talk page. Unfortunately, I do not have time to work on or comment on it in its featured article review. In looking briefly at the article, I did notice a couple of things that I thought it might be worth passing on to you. In the lede (opening paragraphs), I think the phrase "and has given up smoking and drinking" is out of place with the preceding part of the sentence on Eckhart's developing an interest in "photography" and not encyclopedic; I also think that the ref. to the same point later is not encyclopedic. In general, it appears to me that the entire lede needs source citations throughout (I would put a "citations missing" template on it due to those omissions). Otherwise, I would caution against any kind of "fan" (or fansite) tone of voice or inclusion of trivia/minutiae, and just focus on mostly professonal career facts and not on celebrity personal information coming from or used in tabloids. Throughout "recently" needs correction; WP:MOS stresses not to use such relative time transitions ("now"; "lately"; "recently"--as time goes on, none of those has a specific referent). If one has an actual date (year, day/month/year) to document a statement or part of a statement, it is more useful to use the specific date and to document the statement/part of statement with a reliable third-party published source. If the article is still being edited for improvements (unstable), it may be too soon to have a featured article review. Good luck with your efforts. (I haven't read the review page; these are just observations about the article independent of any comments made there.) --NYScholar (talk) 20:00, 29 September 2008 (UTC)

Well with '03, no one else commented on it. For '04, I added more comments. For FL's, not necessarily Rambling Man didn't have any (I think), if you just know the criteria well you'll do fine. Like look at some of the ones I commented, I just check mostly for mechanical errors in the prose and see if the table/list is good in structure, has refs, is understandable, and lists content in a way everyone can comprehend.SRX 23:57, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
Oh really? Thanks so much, I was lost on how to do that. Yay! Trust me, you gain more respect from other users when you get well known at FLC. I mostly comment on the new ones and sometimes on the backlog, it's easier. SRX 00:05, 30 September 2008 (UTC)

Problem with an article

Hi

I'm very new to Wikipedia and am trying to create an article that keeps being deleted by parsecboy. I'd like to talk to this person but cannot seem to create a talkback page which appears to be the item required to speak to him. Quite unlike this easy page of yours but anyhow. Can you please help me?

Thanks in advance,

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Jnplogo.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Jnplogo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 07:35, 3 October 2008 (UTC)

Evil Avatar

ThinkBlue, if you check that IP/Users Talk page, you can see I have already opened up a dialog looking for some form of compromise. However, I can guess who the IP is and he'll just continue to remove data from the page that he doesn't "like".

Update And things continued as I guessed, he began changing IPs and continues to revert the comments he doesn't like, and now claimed to do a page "cleanup" (by moving the sections around and doing nothing more than removing those comments, again). *rolls eyes* I'd love a article lock on this.TrackZero (talk) 21:43, 8 October 2008 (UTC)

Hey there. I just wanted to let you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Talk:2008 Pacific typhoon season/October, as it is the practice of the WPTC to create such archives to document tropical cyclone activity, to make it easier to write articles later.
