Thanks for helping, but, uh...[edit]

I just find out that you have seen a lot of reverts and stuff, and I think having me guiding whole Wikipedia maze might help. Do you want to get mentored by me? CactiStaccingCrane (talk) 12:01, 4 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Uh, sure. The Page Maker II (talk) 23:21, 5 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I think that you should help out on smaller tasks first, such as ones listed at the task center. Creating, or improving articles to good article status is extremely hard, and I learnt that the hard way with SpaceX Starship. Trust me, the result would be much more rewarding if you complete smaller tasks! CactiStaccingCrane (talk) 05:00, 13 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Running before you can walk[edit]

I'm sorry to be blunt, but it's not a good idea for a very new editor like yourself to edit policy pages (e.g. Wikipedia:Deletion policy) or high-use templates (e.g. {{Never substitute}}). Changes to that kind of page have wide consequences that you're unlikely to fully appreciate at this stage of your wiki-career. Your contributions are welcome, but please focus on articles or lower-impact templates to begin with. Thanks for your understanding. – Joe (talk) 15:51, 7 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Your contributed article, SpaceX Starship system development[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, SpaceX Starship system development. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – SpaceX_Starship_development. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at SpaceX_Starship_development. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Liz Read! Talk! 04:22, 10 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

National varieties of English[edit]

Information icon Hello. In a recent edit to the page Rocket engine, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.

For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to another English-speaking country, such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, India, or Pakistan use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the original author of the article used.

In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk. Thank you. BilCat (talk) 04:57, 14 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not undo my edits[edit]

Yesterday I was copy editing and restructuring the SpaceX Starship development article with my short-term editing experience. Today I found that someone undid my long-term edits. After looking for the person who undid my edits, I found that you undid my edits without notifying me. Please do not undo my edits without notifying me. --2405:201:9002:E06A:68F7:7716:964B:A6CC (talk) 06:49, 30 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi you two. Let me clear up a few things for you both. IP: your shifting IPv4s makes contacting you a bit impractical, because these iterations get constantly re-assigned. So for example, here is your talk page on Dec 25 and here it is now. To remedy that (i.e. having a fixed talk page for notifications), you may register an account. But even if you do that, you're not owed a notification for your edits being undone. That's not a thing or a reasonable request. You're expected to monitor pages you deem pertinent. Also, there's no need to save anything to notepad if your edit was successfully submitted. Wikipedia retains all revisions. So everything is still there, still accessible. You may view the WP:DIFF in question here, for example.
The Page Maker II: while notifying users when undoing their edits isn't considered a reasonable expectation (even if the IP's talk page was stable, which it isn't), you are expected to use an edit summary when undoing something substantial. Simply leaving an explanation of your reasoning to guesswork falls short. HTH. Good luck to you both. El_C 09:56, 30 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Warning[edit]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to assume bad faith when dealing with other editors, as you did at SpaceX Starship development, you may be blocked from editing. Assume that they are here to improve rather than harm Wikipedia. Thank you. CactiStaccingCrane (talk) 06:21, 10 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
