Since you seem to be generally contributing in good faith, and have been for a few months, instead of giving you a template warning or outright blocking you I'd like to strongly suggest that you request to have your username changed, as your current name seems like one others would find disruptive, which violates Wikipedia's username policy. Hi Dan! I saw your message on my talk page and I understand the concern. I know that my name is the same as the Unabomber's, but it is also my real name. The "69" (which some may deem inappropriate) comes from my uncle's year of birth. If it is still a concern, even though it is my real name, I'll be (reluctantly) willing to change. I did not have malice when I made the account and also assumed it would pass because this is my given name and I could just explain it like this. Thanks! Ted (talk) 08:13, 6 February 2019 (UTC)

I half expected you to say something like that because it would be about the only way you could be editing like that and not be a vandal. Well, we do have a way to handle situations like yours. You (or I on your behalf if you find initiating the process too daunting) can start a request for comment on your username, where a group of people could decide whether we should allow it, and you can make your (ahem) case freely. Would you like to do that?

Hi FriendlyRiverOtter. Sorry for not responding – I haven't been using Wikipedia much recently. Even if I could respond when it was reasonable to do so, I probably wouldn't because I would not call myself an expert on Bettelheim. My work on Wikipedia is mostly correcting grammar and ensuring consistency. My primary source on Bettelheim was the article itself, so I wouldn't feel right producing an informed opinion.
