Neutral point of view[edit]

One of the pillars of Wikipedia is Neutral Point of View. We do not privilege or yield to the opinions or beliefs of any article's subject, such as by respecting their taboos. We do not append "PBUH" to mentions of the Islamic prophet Mohammed, despite demands by some Muslims that we do so, nor do we allow the deletion of portraits of that person. In the case of the LDS, that means we will continue to follow our standard, called "Common Name": an article will be listed under the name by which the subject is most commonly known in the English language, just as we call the Nazis the Nazis, not the National Socialist German Workers Party. We are not going to start changing articles to meet new marketing and branding initiatives of your faith, just as we do not do so for anybody else. --Orange Mike | Talk 18:08, 10 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
