Blogs as sources

Generally speaking blogs aren't reliable sources. There are some exceptions, such as reporting precisely what the blogger has written, but this is useful only if that is itself appropriate to report in an encyclopedia. None of the rather small number of acceptable uses applies to the Keene article, which as you know is not the same as the Obama article. Quale (talk) 00:25, 5 November 2013 (UTC)

Please note that Steinitz Variation, in its present state, is not a disambiguation page, which is purely a navigational device like a redirect. If it were a disambiguation page, the lede would only say "Steinitz Variation may refer to:", and the content of the page would be reduced to a collection of bare links, with no images on the page, and no links other than to pages referring to titles containing the phrase "Steinitz Variation", or otherwise meeting WP:DABMENTION. bd2412 T 19:22, 4 December 2013 (UTC)

Chess.com

The person removing that material is most likely the sockpuppet/troll Wiki brah, whose express purpose is to disrupt wikipedia - when a new account shows up and immediately starts editing the chess.com article to paint that website in an unfavorable light, that's a dead giveaway. Why remove the material anyway? Why not just tag it if you really think it's necessary to add a citation? Is it so controversial to add an easily verifiable description of a website? It's not like it's a BLP or anything. I think it's kind of rude to remove neutrally presented material just because it is allegedly "unsourced" even though it's readily verifiable.
