Welcome to Wikipedia. Please feel free to post your name as a member at WP:WPWI, as you've already made great contributions. Where did you get the pictures you've uploaded of the Milwaukee Art Museum and St. Joan of Arc Chapel (Image:Milwaukee Art Museum.jpg & Image:St Joan of Arc Chapel.jpg? Cheers. --BaronLarf 02:07, August 10, 2005 (UTC)

Fear not, for all pictures are taken by me. ;) I usually contribute anonymously but Wikipedia forced me to create an account in order to post the images. --Sulfur 04:03, 11 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Well the pictures are wonderful, thanks!  :^) --BaronLarf 11:15, August 11, 2005 (UTC)

Christianity Portal[edit]

Hi, and welcome to Wikipedia! Your contributions to the Christianity Portal are very much appreciated; please feel free to add your name to the member's list. The "featured scripture" idea is a fresh one, and definitely has a role to play on the portal. One thing I would like to retain, however, is the green header backgrounds. I will see if I can get these back - if you can do this then please go ahead. For your quality edits, I award you an Exceptional Newcomers Award - well done! Thanks for contributing and cya round! Brisvegas 05:40, 21 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

An Award
For your quality contributions to Wisconsin and Christianity-related articles, I Brisvegas award you the Exceptional Newcomers Award. Keep up the good work! 05:38, 21 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the award... I appreciate it! Most of my contributions have actually been via anonymous IP, but I needed to login in order to move the sub-pages over to the new namespace.
Portal colors are specified using the box-header template. There is also a template for the box-footer which can be used for closing header tags and anything else to be listed in each box.
I left an empty box at the bottom of the portal in case anyone else had content ideas... the addition would help to balance out the page more. Just edit the portal page and replace the question marks with the box title, save, and then click on the red link in the box to create that article. Sulfur 21:37, 21 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

The article describes him as an "editor", so David Lawrence (editor) seems to be an appropriate redirect, if not a more appropriate title. Solution to the dispute, of course, would be to find his middle name and move it to "David X. Lawrence" or whatever his initial is. — FREAK OF NURxTURE (TALK) 12:32, Jan. 7, 2006

Civil Defence Siren[edit]

Added the Thunderbolt picture, and edited the T-135 information.

Salvatorians[edit]

Hi! I wanted to alert you that there is an article about the Salvatorians. I wikified the article and added some websites. Father Francis Jordan's biography is included and there is some mention about the Salvatorian Sisters. Thanks-RFD 10:32, 12 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately the original contribution looks to be a copyright violation of:
Lack of wikification usually indicates a copy-n-paste job. I would have speedied the delete, but it comes from a non-profit organization with no guidelines for use. Take care! Sulfur 16:38, 12 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the information. I am still learning about Wikipedia and how it functions!Thanks-RFD 20:27, 12 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Follies[edit]

How am I supposed to quote this? Its from a High School student written production! Puckmv 03:40, 13 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

With all of the vandalism done to Divine Savior Holy Angels High School about it being "a full-day daycare for girls in grade 9-12" with "token 'college prep' courses that keep girls aged 14 to 18 busy all day," [1] I think the joke is old and any credence lent to the subject matter has long been lost. Your edit to Marquette University High School states that it was a one-time skit put on by the class of 2006 as part of a larger event. If this can not be sourced then the topic is inconsequential and unverifiable and should not be included in an encyclopedia. Sulfur 19:07, 13 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
HOW THE HELL AM I SUPPOSED TO SOURCE SOMETHING LIKE THIS? ITS A PLAY FOR CRIPES SAKE!!! ITS NOT LIKE I CAN GET THE SCRIPT FOR YOU AND READ IT OFF!!!! JUST ANSWER THE QUESTION! I'VE HEARD THIS BULLSHIT ROUTINE ENOUGH TIMES!!! Puckmv 20:37, 13 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
If the skit was so ephemeral and minor to not even warrant a mention in the school paper then it certainly isn't of interest to a wider audience. Even if it did make print, I believe its inclusion in Wikipedia is designed to do nothing more than amuse some school boys at the emotional expense of others. Your efforts would really be better spent on another subject. Sulfur 00:22, 14 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Ummm acctually they did publish it in the school newspaper. A few problems with that. 1. Its on a piece of paper, not online 2. I don't have a scanner. I'm sure people would like to know what its about, so I'm just trying to be a little informative but since people don't allow us to put anything on this encyclopedia because GOD FORBID! there might be a little offense to people (or huwt thew feewings), just shows how controlling you people feel you need to be (on the internet [ha])! Spam links[edit]

Good job in removing the spam link for the Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company article. You appropriately reverted the edits, following the WP:SPAM guideline. --Royalbroil 21:58, 18 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks.. the additions gave me pause at first as it may be valid criticism, but the POV and blog links ultimately exceeded my threshold. ;) Sulfur 22:19, 18 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have worked at great length with "Hagerman" to clean up my postings on Northwestern Mutual and other mutual life insurers to avoid violating the NPOV policy. He has agreed to the current postings after many edits were submitted to him.

If you have a specific Wikipedia policy objections to my postings, then please cite them to me so that I can make appropriate corrections. Otherwise, I would appreciate you stopping the deletion of my revised, fact laced postings.

I look forward to hearing from you. (Unsigned comment from user Policyowner)

Hello Policyowner, while your "fact laced postings" may reference sources, they are ridden with charged words and is clearly pushing a POV agenda against mutualized insurance companies. There is also no need to add the same block of text and blog link to every mutual insurance company article on Wikipedia. The repeated reverts back to your initial edit are stepping on other contributions that have been made since then, just as your edit to my talk page removed the thread above. I can certainly appreciate your view point, as long as it is done with a fair, balanced and encyclopedic tone. Regards. Sulfur 18:12, 31 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Photographs[edit]

I just wanted to say good job with all those photographs you've been taking of places throughout the Milwaukee area! They really add something to the articles. I don't give barnstars, but if I did, you'd get a big one. --BaronLarf 19:13, 3 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wayland Academy Website[edit]

I am a student at the school and took those pictures for the school website. Take them off the delete list and please return the Academy page to it's original state. Furthermore, the campus information gave factual information about each building such as when it was constructed, what is inside of it, etc. Besides the "ironically..." sentence, everything was from a neutral position. It is your opinion that it reads like a brochure, it is fact that is provided factual information. (Unsigned comment made by User:Snakeplane 21:42, 21 August 2006)

Hello Snakeplane... I'll copy your statement over to the IfD nomination for the community's consideration. Your input in that open dialog welcomed and encouraged during the process. One thing you might want to consider is that if you performed under a Work for hire basis, the copyright to those images may not be yours to license. Either way, such things should be noted on the media page to avoid future issues. As for the text taken from the Wayland Academy website, there is a notice at the bottom of every page that states it is copyright 2004-2006 Wayland Academy. If it is yours to contribute, this should also be noted in your edit summaries. Take care! Sulfur 23:14, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article River Rhythms, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at its talk page. Removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, but the article may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. --Fang Aili talk 19:23, 24 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Don't get me wrong, Sulfur. I love the work you do on Milwaukee-related articles. I just don't think this one meets notability criteria. Thanks, Fang Aili talk 19:23, 24 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I noticed the article I wrote for Jazz in the Park was deleted as well... go ahead, I'm pretty much done contributing to Wikipedia for now. Things like this, or the senseless renaming of the Menomonee Valley to fit some administrators pet project naming convention, have frustrated me to no end. 72.131.44.247 06:48, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

James Densmore[edit]

A "{{prod}}" template has been added to the article James Densmore, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Hi, the image was tagged as a copyright violation from [personal link]. Are you the same person who uploaded it to flickr? You should have been warned about the listing on Wikipedia:Copyright problems though which the original tagger neglected to do. Garion96 (talk) 21:32, 30 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You assume to much, Garion96, and I am not about to divulge all of the activities that make up my personal life with you or the rest of the Wikipedia community. I have made my declaration of copyright ownership multiple times now. I suggest you restore the image. Sulfur 23:14, 30 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I won't restore the image since it is a possible copyright violation. However, this could be solved easily, if you are the same person as the one who uploaded it to flickr, you could send me a flickr mail. My username there is also Garion96. Otherwise I suggest you follow Videmus Omnia's advice and take it to Wikipedia:Deletion review. Garion96 (talk) 13:22, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Since you seem to prefer to keep the conversation intact on one talk page, I left my response on my talk page. See User talk:Garion96#Image Deletion. Garion96 (talk) 20:50, 8 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Lady Elgin monument[edit]

I only write what the voices tell me to. 72.131.59.27 (talk) 08:30, 7 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry about the surprise that you got about the image. You weren't here for 1.5 years and I forgot exactly who you were/are until now. I didn't do a thorough job of checking the history of the image. You did too good of a job with documenting the image and gave a strong reason to suspect that the image was a copyright violation from another website. How could I have known that you're still around? You'll notice that I didn't nominate any of your other images after that even though I had the chance! I'm sorry that you feel that I'm an admin bully - I think you're the first person to call me that (or at least one of the first to say it to my face). It's been a very long time and lots of guidelines & policies have changed. One thing that hasn't is the common courtesy of discussing before acting. I apologize that I didn't try harder to contact you. Royalbroil 22:48, 11 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If you change the license on flickr, I'll undo the mess that I made by uploading the image back to Commons and put it back in the article.
I urge you to reconsider what an administrator is. You hold a much higher esteem for it than what it deserves. To me, all it says is that the user is well-established veteran that community has said it trusts - but at some point in the past. It's nothing almighty - not the Holy Grail. Admins are humans and make human errors. It means that they trustworthy enough to delete something without deleting the wrong thing. Royalbroil 23:02, 11 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
