Cultural institutions[edit]

Many excellent cultural institutions struggle on for years, even decades, without ever becoming notable enough to get their own article in an encyclopedia. If you feel that a particular group does qualify as notable, you have to document it, or the article will go away. "Notable" has nothing to do with quality, nobility or utility; merely with fame. --Orange Mike | Talk 23:39, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

So let me ask you this. If a whole nation of native people were never famous, we should just pretend they never existed? That's really a super lame argument, Orangemike. The organization I was helping to document is over 30 years old. It has an extremely long history that predates, easily, wikipedia itself.
