I'm an idiot[edit]

I completely missed that username as being inappropriate... thanks for catching it! Frmatt (talk) 04:14, 21 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You just speedied this page... its back again in duplicate form. ThemFromSpace 05:34, 21 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the heads up. The creator has been blocked for a short while. --Stephen 05:38, 21 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Deletions[edit]

Could you please do the uncontroversial deletions of Template:Freddy Krueger and Template:RE JEH, After creating them, I realized they served no purpose. I'm surprised no one else caught these yet. Thank you! • S • C • A • R • C • E • 06:58, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Gone. --Stephen 07:00, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
WOW, THAT WAS FAST! I noticed you on the recent changes page because I was looking for an immediate deletion. Thank you! • S • C • A • R • C • E • 07:02, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, there probably should be easier ways of finding online active admins, and if I can help in the future please drop me a line. You can flag them as {{db-g7}} too, and they'll get picked up by anyone working through the csd queue. --Stephen 07:10, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Oh yeah, I completely forgot about the db-g7 template being available on Twinkle. It's hard to keep up with my gadgets! Also, congrats on the Barnstar, judging by your contributions, it's well deserved! [*] • S • C • A • R • C • E • 13:39, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Question.[edit]

I've been working on understanding AFd tagging and what not to tag and would like to know if articles such as Speed Limits in Mississippi are within a vcatergory. I looked and couldn't find anything and thought you might help see if there is a relevant policy or precedent to articles like this. Hell In A Bucket (talk) 14:41, 23 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please undelete this article. I had cleaned it up to remove the advertising. The EL I added showed its notability. It is was a legit stub. Wizard191 (talk) 14:08, 5 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Done. --Stephen 22:25, 5 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The British Horseracing Authority[edit]

Stephen,

I work for the BHA, and recently edited our page to better reflect what we do. I kept it neutral, and simply stated our aims, objectives, etc.

I understand that you don't want propaganda, but surely the BHA has the right to edit their own page! How might this be rectified?

Thanks for your reply,

Philip [email protected] —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.169.166.141 (talk) 10:10, 6 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Philip, it is not your 'own' page, it is a page about your organization. However, we do not allow accounts that seem to represent an organization, we must all edit as individuals, so that account was blocked. Please read WP:COI before you edit the page again, but you seem to be on the right track. --Stephen 11:24, 6 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

ITNs[edit]

Hello, are you able to post the Chad-Libya (August 10) and Mauritania (August 8) ITNs as well? I think they've been ready for some time. Thanks. :) --candlewicke 02:24, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I don't see a consensus for either of those. --Stephen 02:42, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks[edit]

Thanks for your participation in my recent RfA. I will do my very best not to betray the confidence you have shown me. If you ever have any questions or suggestions about my conduct as an administrator or as an editor please don't hesitate to contact me. Once again, thanks. ·Maunus·ƛ· 04:40, 19 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Removing external links to relevant U.S. Federal Court Case articles from Wikipedia.[edit]

Our company publishes important Federal Court cases as blog posts and books. We have added external links to a few important stories, such as "Arrests Made in in Largest U.S.-Domestic Human Sex Trafficking Case in Houston", and found them removed. So now there's no reference to an important human trafficking case in Wikipedia? As other important federal cases surface and the stories are not represented in Wikipedia, we intend to add them, because people need to know. Hopefully, our efforts will not be obstructed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by AEthur (talkcontribs) 22:22, 28 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Euclidthegreek[edit]

What is the likelyhood of

  1. Professor Fiendish (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log)
  2. Editor510 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log)

1 is interested in 3d shapes and has edited the same articles Euclid has (Truncated great dodecahedron, Dodecadodecahedron, Tetrahedron, Tetrahedral symmetry, Medial rhombic triacontahedron) and creates lots of junk in the user space, whilst the 2nd just creates lots of junk in their user space and both edited [1][2][3][4]. I'm not jumping to any conclusions, which is why I haven't informed either editors.--Otterathome (talk) 07:55, 12 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Professor Fiendish is looking more and more likely to be him, both of his accounts were blocked on the 18th August 2009, and this account started edited heavily from the 19 August 2009. I'm not totally convinced Editor510 is one his accounts due to the age of the account and lack of interest with 3d shapes.--Otterathome (talk) 08:16, 12 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The usernames still have lots of pages saved in their user space area. Consider deleting them unless they are needed for another reason.--Otterathome (talk) 21:14, 14 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

So an en-2 (intermediate) level of English is not good enough?[edit]

Hello. With regards to your WP:RFA/Ichwan Palongengi debate, should Wikipedian administrators have good English? I've seen a lot of admins that have Basic English levels, or even Intermediate levels of English. So why do you think an en-2 level of English is not good enough to become an Admin?--BoeingRuleOfThe9th-700 (talk) 00:44, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I was not in Wikipedia during the debate, but I looked at the RFA and notoriously, I'm curious with your opposing debate.--BoeingRuleOfThe9th-700 (talk) 00:48, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
In my opinion, his grasp of English was not of sufficient quality to allow him to engage in the complex discussions that admins get drawn into on the English Wikipedia. --Stephen 02:37, 14 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I see. But some administrators, who come from another country, have en-2 levels of English. Why is he excluded?--BoeingRuleOfThe9th-700 (talk) 14:42, 14 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Do you have any specific examples? He's not excluded, it was just my opinion. Do you have an interest in his adminship?--Stephen 19:01, 14 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent R3s[edit]

You R3ed my redirecting of some chromosomal abnormabilities. I really don't have any other place to redirect them to. Perhaps they should be taken out of the infobox, with the possible exception of 46,XX/XY (which I didn't create). Attinio Torio Protoattinio Uranio 13:14, 28 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Luxury vehicle[edit]

There's a bit of an edit war going on in this article, Luxury vehicle. Could you take a look and consider protecting the page for a bit, to let things cool off. 842U (talk) 23:59, 28 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Did I forget to thank you? ..[edit]

Thank you for participating in my RfA, which passed nearly unanimously with 174 in support, 2 in opposition and 1 neutral votes. Special thanks goes to RegentsPark, Samir and John Carter for their kind nomination and support. I am truly honored by the trust and confidence that the community has placed in me. I thank you for your kind inputs and I will be sincerely looking at the reasons that people opposed me so I can improve in those areas ( including my english ;) ). If you ever need anything please feel free to ask me and I would be happy to help you :). Have a great day ! -- Tinu Cherian - 10:00, 27 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of James Berardinelli[edit]

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is James Berardinelli. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/James Berardinelli. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:05, 16 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please explain your deletion tag on the talk page, where a section has been started. -- Brangifer (talk) 15:38, 24 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

What deletion? What are you talking about? --Stephen 21:22, 24 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
My bad. I should have written "tag". The section for discussion is here. -- Brangifer (talk) 02:07, 25 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Since you haven't responded here or at the talk page, I have removed the OR tag. Just do the math. -- Brangifer (talk) 20:09, 28 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Monobook[edit]

Gracias. I have to say I was worried there for a moment, since unto my experience change of this sort usually displaces those who are use to a certain setting. Thanks for the clarification. TomStar81 (Talk) 22:37, 31 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
