My concern about your username[edit]

Hello, Somefrigginguy, and welcome to Wikipedia!

I hope not to seem unfriendly or make you feel unwelcome, but I noticed your username, and am concerned that it might not meet Wikipedia's username policy. After you look over that policy, could we discuss that concern here?

I'd appreciate learning your own views, for instance your reasons for wanting this particular name, and what alternative username you might accept that avoids raising this concern.

You have several options freely available to you:

Let me reassure you that my writing here means I don't think your username is grossly, blatantly, or obviously inappropriate; such names get reported straight to Wikipedia:Usernames for administrator attention or blocked on sight. This is more a case where opinions might differ, and it would be good to reach some consensus — either here or at Wikipedia:Requests for comment/User names. So I look forward to a friendly discussion, and to enjoying your continued participation on Wikipedia. Thank you. Cheers, JetLover (talk) 23:40, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Uh...I'm okay with another user name. I'd not realized my current one would be a problem. I can't quite figure out how to use the reuest section to change my user name, but I'd be okay with justsomeguy, if that's available.

Justsomeguy (talk · contribs) has been created, however, the account hasn't made any edits, so you can make a request (on the main usurpations requests page) to have your username usurp his username; which means to rename Justsomeguy to something else, and your username to Justsomeguy. If you need more assistance, feel free to just reply here. Kind regards, –sebi 06:01, 21 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
So, over at WP:USURP, you could add this to the bottom of the page:
{{subst:usurp|Name_To_Usurp|Current_Name}}
Following up on recommendation to change my username from [[WP:RFC/NAME]]
(see [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Requests_for_comment/User_names&oldid=152650788#Somefrigginguy case].
~~~~
Except that, where I've broken that up into lines, you should have it all on one flowing line. Be sure to use the "Show preview" button over at WP:USURP before saving the page with that wikicode, to make sure everything comes out fine.  :) Hope that helps, as well. Feel free to ask any of us if you need any assistance. Take care!   justen   08:26, 21 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
A tag has been placed on The Free World Radio Network, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.
If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. CobaltBlueTony 12:44, 21 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Notability of Damien Darko[edit]
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Damien Darko, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Damien Darko seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Damien Darko, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself.
