Copyediting at French Resistance[edit]

Hi, Snapdragon66, I noticed your copyediting at French Resistance, and thought you uniformly improved the article, cleaned up muddy sentences, improved grammar and readability, smoothed segues, and generally just improved the writing. If you have time, I wonder if you could do the same for Liberation of France? I've been developing it for a while, and tbh have been more worried about the big picture, getting the right sections in, and putting something in them, that I haven't really got down to how it all flows as a narrative, and I know in places that it's terrible. It could definitely use a fresh pair of eyes with copyediting skills. There are also structural problems and mismatches of style and segues, due to the fact that much of it was copied from 30 different sources (see Talk for a list) and some of it I translated from a rickety French article. I can go into more detail about other problems, if you like, but the article would definitely benefit from the type of ce work I saw you do on French Resistance, if you're interested. Thanks in advance, and happy editing! Mathglot (talk) 09:24, 14 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Mathglot! Thank you for your note :) Made me feel really good to hear my edits improved the article, especially from you who has been contributing do much on the topic. It is such on important history. I learned a lot that I didn't know before reading the article. Thank you for the content you are contributing. It is so important to document history where everyone (hopefully someday) can find it. I am very happy to take a look at the Liberation of France article next time I am editing - which I'm sure will be soon. I am also happy to collaborate on other articles as needed. My abilities are mostly in copy editing (as you noted so kindly) and adding images to Commons and from Commons to the appropriate articles. Sometimes it is hard to find an article that is built out and needs copy editing, so send links over and I will focus on them as I am able. I have been shy at talking on talk pages but maybe can come out of my shell a bit. Thank you again for reaching out - I am so happy that you did, and am looking forward to collaborating on this content with you. <3 Snapdragon66 (talk) 16:28, 15 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
