WP:EXISTING

I do not understand why you are removing content that are Red links. The WP:EXISTING you referenced clearly states, "Red links should normally be avoided unless they are very likely to be developed into articles. Red links can be retained in navigation templates that represent a well-defined and complete set of data (geographic divisions, annual events, filmographies, etc.), where deleting red links would leave an incomplete and misleading result. Even then, editors are encouraged to write the article first."

Because the content you removed represent a well-defined and complete set of data I have restored it. I retained edits you made that weren't connected to this particular type of edit. Mitchumch (talk) 14:53, 3 January 2016 (UTC)

Copying and pasting

Hiya again SnapSnap! You might not remember me but I was the one who deleted the content from Black Beauty (Lana Del Rey song) because it was copied and pasted from a lanadelrey.wikia.com article. Unfortunately, I am here again to report this issue but with an American Horror Story Hotel article. This article here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Be_Our_Guest_(American_Horror_Story) was firstly copied from here: http://americanhorrorstory.wikia.com/wiki/Be_Our_Guest and then, because I asked them to not plagirize, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:GagaNutella and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:IndianBio said that it had no wikia in it. Also, even though I kept the content as it was, I cited the paragraphs of the plot outline but then IndianBio decided to remove my references and just changed the words of the plot as you can see here: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Be_Our_Guest_(American_Horror_Story)&action=history and then claimed thatt there was no wikia in it. I then had a little chat with IndianBio but he said I was 'harrassing' him. These were my messages: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:IndianBio&action=history

He later sent me a message stating that if I send him another message, he would report me but I didn't do anything wrong. He showed me the Wikipedia policy for harrassment, I read it through and I did not even harrass me yet he would send me such a thing. The problem is here, the above users don't understand Wikipedia's policies and just change the words of an article and say it's theirs without referencing and they don't understand the policies of harrassment. I know you can't do much but because you're such a trusted user on Wikipedia and a music lover, I was wondering if you could do anything about it? Thank you so much! :)203.87.111.14 (talk) 00:51, 16 January 2016 (UTC)

@203.87.111.14: It appears that someone has rewritten the plot so that it isn't a copy-and-paste from the AHS Wikia. snαp snαp (talk) 18:59, 16 January 2016 (UTC)

Gwen Stefani!

Hey SnapSnap! I am very grateful for all of your edits on Wikipedia, especially edits for music articles! Personally, I am very passionate about all things Gwen Stefani and No Doubt. A WikiProject Gwen Stefani has recently been started and is currently on the hunt for new members! Even if you're not familiar with their work, your substantially HIGH level of expertise is very welcome here! WP would appreciate your membership if it works for you, and we look forward to seeing you there! Thanks so much for your time! Cheers! Carbrera (talk) 23:42, 16 February 2016 (UTC)

@Carbrera: Thank you! You've made some valuable contributions to Gwen Stefani-related articles as well. I'm a huge fan of Gwen and No Doubt too, so I'd love to join your project. :) Though I'm not sure how often I'll be able to visit Wikipedia starting next week. snαp snαp (talk) 19:10, 17 February 2016 (UTC)

Writing credits

Hi. Just so you know that additional songwriters have been misplaced on any database like See You Again ("COCKBURN PHOEBE LOUISE, HARDY JOSHUA KARL SIMON, HUME DANN"), Wrecking Ball (KIM DAVID KYUNGIL) etc. Anyway better use to based on album liner notes just like Love Me like You Do#Credits and personnel. 123.136.106.39 (talk) 15:24, 16 March 2016 (UTC)

Hello, SnapSnap. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Earthquake (song), for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Geramany (talk) 09:55, 25 April 2016 (UTC)

Dua Lipa

Hi, Per the Guardian source, the first paragraph reads Age 20 Home Pristina, Kosovo. That's why I put Kosovar-Albanian in the lead. Here's from another source: She grew up toggling between her family's home in war-torn Kosovo and the U.K. She's likely a Kosovar citizen and her family probably still lives there. Thus, her ties to Kosovo are not merely on ethnic grounds. Best, DevilWearsBrioni (talk) 06:58, 8 May 2016 (UTC)

@DevilWearsBrioni: Hey. Assuming that she's likely a Kosovar citizen based on the fact that she lived in Kosovo for a couple years goes against WP:NOR, so unless you provide a reliable source that backs up her citizenship, "Kosovar-Albanian" should not be mentioned in the lead. Rita Ora was actually born in Pristina and she's referred to as British. snαp snαp (talk) 16:46, 8 May 2016 (UTC)
OK, so I explicitly wrote 'Per the Guardian source, the first paragraph reads Age 20 Home Pristina, Kosovo. That's why I put Kosovar-Albanian in the lead'. DevilWearsBrioni (talk) 17:22, 8 May 2016 (UTC)
@DevilWearsBrioni: "Home: Pristina, Kosovo" is too vague and not an explicit indication of whether she currently holds Kosovo citizenship. She was born in London, which is where she lives. snαp snαp (talk) 20:25, 8 May 2016 (UTC)
For the record, it reads: "In most modern-day cases this will mean the country of which the person is a citizen, national or permanent resident". I'm fine with the way it's currently worded though. DevilWearsBrioni (talk) 09:17, 9 May 2016 (UTC)

Hi. I found Rolling Stone article "disco ballad". As for "pop" which has been vague for the genre. Eletronic rock per magazine site is refers to "Marry the Night". However another lines "Peter Robinson from NME found a mixture of dance-pop and electronic rock elements in "The Edge of Glory" which he believed was enhanced by Clemons", which means electronic rock on its elements.115.164.62.87 (talk) 07:34, 8 May 2016 (UTC)

How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful

Hello, I noticed that you are very experienced on wiki (much more than I am) and also that you care about the Florence + the Machine pages. I'm having a problem on the HBHBHB album page. I recently read a lot of reviews to collect accurate genres and I found 'pop rock' for the album but that RabbitHole-something person doesn't seem to appreciate it and keeps removing it although it has a source. Thus I was wondering if you could have a look at the review I used and tell me if I am right to put pop rock as a genre for this album because I am doubting now.

Thank you very much. ThibaultGerm (talk) 22:39, 21 May 2016 (UTC)

@ThibaultGerm: Judging by their edits, Rabbithole22 sounds like a genre warrior. Though I'm not really sure if Pretty Much Amazing would be considered a reputable source for genres, especially compared to the other sources being used for genres in the article. snαp snαp (talk) 04:40, 22 May 2016 (UTC)
@SnapSnap: Thank you I didn't know about these genre warriors... And since PMA is not in the WikiProject Albums/Sources I will remove 'pop rock' for now but still I'm going to tell Rabithole22 that he should learn the rules of wikipedia... Thanks again for your help ! ThibaultGerm (talk) 10:08, 22 May 2016 (UTC)
@ThibaultGerm: Anytime. Good job providing sources for genres in the Florence + the Machine pages, by the way. :) snαp snαp (talk) 21:31, 22 May 2016 (UTC)
@SnapSnap: Thanks a lot ! This whole indie rock/art rock/baroque pop thing on each and every song and album was getting on my nerves. ^^ ThibaultGerm (talk) 20:18, 24 May 2016 (UTC)

Can you handle both pages? 183.171.182.137 (talk) 15:25, 4 July 2016 (UTC)

Bat for Lashes - The Bride

Any particular reason why you felt it necessary to swap the jpg for a png? There doesn't appear to be any obvious benefit. PC78 (talk) 07:02, 12 July 2016 (UTC)

Gwen Stefani

Hello SnapSnap. I really do hate asking others for favors, but recently the article for Gwen Stefani was nominated to undergo a featured article review, which could potentially result in it being delisted. SNUGGUMS has pointed out a few things, including some incorrectly cited references, a few dead links, and minimal mention of her latest album. I have already completed the minor issues with the lead, but I would appreciate it if another editor would help me along the way, since I've been doing the same thing with another Gwen article. Don't feel inclined to do so, I am just asking around. Thank you for your time. Carbrera (talk) 23:23, 27 July 2016 (UTC)

@Carbrera: Sure, I can give it a look sometime. snαp snαp (talk) 04:29, 28 July 2016 (UTC)

Album versions & radio edits

Not sure why you deleted the info I added regarding song version run times. I think people come on here to get as much info as they possibly can. Listing run times/durations for songs is very common on this site and I don't believe "not needed" at all. Please give a valid reason why you decided to omit this information or why it should not be on this article but is obviously on many others. I often use Wiki to find out if a song has an edit and therefore appreciate it when an article about a song is very thorough.

Thank you.

Dua Lipa

Hey, just wanted to let you know, there's another user trying to remove "New Love" and "Last Dance" on Dua Lipa, claiming they are just promotional singles, presumably because they didn't chart. Ss112 22:16, 25 October 2016 (UTC)

@Ss112: Thanks. Yeah, I noticed it happened again. I, too, assumed those users keep labelling those singles as promotional singles based solely on the fact that they didn't chart. One user also mentioned that those songs appeared as B-sides to "Be the One". snαp snαp (talk) 20:20, 26 October 2016 (UTC)

Banks

TalkTalk - please stop reverting the Banks (singer) page back to the previous edit. Banks has never met Lily Collins and Lily had nothing to do with introducing her to DJ Skeet. The Guardian source that you're referencing has been updated to reflect this. It was a misunderstanding by the journalist. This is an ongoing issue for Jillian as interviewers repeatedly bring up this false information with her. Spikemanspikemanspikeman (talk) 20:09, 14 November 2016 (UTC)

@Spikemanspikemanspikeman: I see now that The Guardian has corrected that misunderstanding. However, you should've explained in the edit summary why you were removing such information, otherwise it just seemed like you had no valid reason for removing it. By the way, Banks has met Lily Collins. snαp snαp (talk) 20:26, 14 November 2016 (UTC)

Wordy Rappinghood

Hey, I see you've edited Wordy Rappinghood in the past few months. At the moment, a user appears to think a redirect is more helpful than a specific link (7" single versus linking to Single (music)#7-inch format) because the page 7" single might be created, when I pointed out the page has existed for 11 years as a redirect. Neither of us can revert anymore today otherwise we'd be breaking WP:3RR, but there are multiple piped links on the page that are avoiding redirects and I was trying to make it consistent, and there's nothing against specificity in links (and from what I've seen on pages we've both edited, you prefer specificity). Do you agree with the fact it should be changed? If so, can you change it back? (Perhaps you don't want to get involved or necessarily side with me because I asked, but I don't get why this user is taking particular issue on this one page when nobody cares about the links being fixed elsewhere, or saying it's "my taste" alone to fix a link.) Ss112 09:40, 25 December 2016 (UTC)

@Ss112: Personally, I believe it would be best to keep the redirect (7" single) rather than the specific link, as per WP:NOTBROKEN—even if there's no prospect of an article being created. Right now the only options for "7" single" are Single (music)#7-inch format and Gramophone record, and since 7" single currently redirects to the former, I think the redirect should be kept, but that's just me. What other links do you think need fixing? snαp snαp (talk) 17:56, 25 December 2016 (UTC)
I didn't mean there were any other links to be fixed on that page. I just said it should be consistent that redirects are avoided there, as most other links that would be redirects on the page are piped, and that when I edit other pages, nobody particularly cares (as they shouldn't) that redirects like that are avoided. It's fair that it exists, as I'm sure 7" single is a fairly common search term, but I don't think it's needed to keep on articles. Ss112 04:54, 26 December 2016 (UTC)

I add some genres in this article but with sources, I wonder these sources are right about the album or not. I like to hear somebody else opinion of this. TheAmazingPeanuts (talk) 16:12, 27 December 2016 (UTC)

@TheAmazingPeanuts: Hey. The sources are fine, though R&B is not supported by the Complex source. Also, neither The A.V. Club not Clash explicitly describe the album as experimental. snapsnap (talk) 02:24, 28 December 2016 (UTC)
I see your point. TheAmazingPeanuts (talk) 20:52, 27 December 2016 (UTC)
