Re: Kathy Griffin page[edit]

Alternately, if something has happened very recently and there is only one source reporting it, it should be discussed on the talk page, more references should be found, and consensus should be reached before it's added to the main article. Trivialist (talk) 22:09, 24 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You have a great username.[edit]

Just wanted to say. That is a reference to Trenzalore in Doctor Who, right? Gatemansgc (TɅ̊LK) 03:44, 4 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • @Gatemansgc: Yeah it is. And I'm guessing based on your customized letter A that you are a Stargate fan? To this day, that is still my favorite Sci-Fi show. Sir Trenzalore (talk) 15:16, 5 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
    • Yes I am! I wish the economic downturn hadn't resulted in the forced cancellation of Atlantis... The wormhole drive asspull was probably the worst asspull ending in history until the ending of Bleach. I wish my glyph was an actual character, but at least it shows up. Copyright issue[edit]

Was looking at this edit[1] specifically this text:

"Protamine was originally isolated from the sperm of salmon and other species of fish, but is now produced primarily through recombinant biotechnology."

You added this as a source and it supported use prefect (actually too perfectly) https://www.drugbank.ca/drugs/DB09141

So I was checking copyright issues but it appears we contained the text back in 2009. And our text has altered through time.[2]

So it appears drugbank.ca is copy and pasting from Wikipedia. Looking here they do reference us. But they are not releasing the content under a compatible license.

Will follow up. We should probably not be using Wikipedia to reference Wikipedia. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 18:07, 14 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hahaha. Yeah, sort of a chicken or the egg scenario going on there. Thanks for the update. I'll look into it a bit later myself and see if I can't find a better source for that. Sir Trenzalore (talk) 00:53, 15 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Drugbank.ca has agreed that they have copied and pasted from us... And changed part of that page. The problem is that they copy and past from us with poor / insufficient attribution across many many of their pages... Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 02:21, 15 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
