Sorin Grindeanu

I noticed you edited both Sorin Grindeanu and Prime Minister of Romania to state that Grindeanu is still acting Prime Minister until his replacement is appointed. Please could you provide a source for this - none of the English-language news sources I have read have discussed an active Prime Minister role for Grindeanu; instead they imply the office will simply be vacant until a successor is appointed. However I am sure Romanian sources are covering this with more detail and accuracy, and non-english sources are OK for references. --LukeSurl ^{t c} 19:42, 21 June 2017 (UTC)

Basically the way it goes is like this: even if the PM is ousted the country must be governed in some capacity, so according to the Constitution two things can happen - either the ousted PM remains as acting PM, as is happening right now or a member of the ousted cabinet takes the position of acting PM until a new PM is sworn into office (when Ponta resigned back in 2015 his minister of education, Cîmpeanu was named acting PM). The acting PM has limited powers though, he's basically just a caretaker. Adrian (talk) 20:16, 21 June 2017 (UTC)

Mihai Tudose

Please do not update Wikipedia using information that is yet to become factually true. From a legal point of view, no presidential decree has been signed relieving Tudose of his duties and appointing Stănescu acting PM. Cipika (talk) 23:21, 15 January 2018 (UTC)

The update on Mihai Tudose's page was factual. The PM had indeed lost the support of his party and he did sign his resignation the same night. All information regarding Paul Stănescu's acting premiership was written in future tense, because there was no presidential decree yet, and while the president may appoint any other minister as acting PM, until he actually does so, Stănescu is the apparent future Acting PM.
