All GOCE members in good standing, as well as past participants of any of the Guild's Backlog elimination drives, are eligible to vote. There are six candidates vying for four positions. The candidate with the highest number of votes will become the Lead Coordinator, therefore, your vote really matters! Cast your vote today.

Deuces (song)

Hi there, I need your help with another problem which is kind of similar to the issue we dealt with on the Altiyan Childs article. This time its on the Deuces (song) article. An IP user called User talk:99.7.113.17 keeps changing the "Remix EP" tracklist in the "Tracklisting" section on the article. However the tracklisting is correct and has no problems with it. I've discussed this with the user already and told he/her to click on this link - http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/deuces-remix-ep/id399911435 to prove its the right tracklisting. The user won't listen to me so maybe you could discuss? Thanks! ozurbanmusic (talk) 11:37, 1 December 2010 (UTC)

There's not much more I can do there at the moment. If the problem continues you may wish to request semiprotection. --Shirik (Questions or Comments?) 19:58, 4 December 2010 (UTC)

Popups

what was the thing about the "popups" on the Lot (Biblical) page? Jasonasosa (talk) 10:26, 11 December 2010 (UTC)

That's just me restoring the latest version, since a move creates a redirect that I had to undo. I'm going to keep looking for your revision but you're sure you didn't see an edit conflict pop up? --Shirik (Questions or Comments?) 17:27, 11 December 2010 (UTC)
It wasn't this edit you did, right? --Shirik (Questions or Comments?) 17:30, 11 December 2010 (UTC)
Yep, that's my edit...all in green, with the new subsections having more content and references. When I did this edit, I had moved all the pre-existing content from: Lot (Judo-Christian View) page, to an existing: Lot (Biblical) page, including it's discussion page (using the old copy/paste method) while having my new edit included all in one bundle. Jasonasosa (talk) 18:56, 11 December 2010 (UTC)
Ok, in that case everything's OK and should still be there. I was just a little confused. --Shirik (Questions or Comments?) 22:00, 11 December 2010 (UTC)

New ideas for an old filter

Hi Shirik, I ran across your name after fortuitously stumbling across this little thread. And boy am I glad I found it. I have been struggling with this obnoxious editor for a long time now as well and I have some suggestions for other things to add to the filter. I have recently been trying to clean up the lists of fictional animals articles which have fallen into a really disgraceful state. This same user has been bedeviling me with the incessant addition of list entries of completely trivial nature or bearing little or no relation to the topics. He has, for example, added every sports team with a bird in its name to the list of fictional birds. My example does little to demonstrate the sheer volume of trivial, misunderstood, and otherwise useless edits he has added to these articles. I had noticed earlier that he was operating from a dynamic IP and that it was coming from a foreign country so I had initially blamed these edits on the language barrier, however I also noticed that he had received countless warnings and that he had been banned several times, so I am certain that this is pattern behavior and nothing short of a vandalism campaign. This is the first time I see that anything has been done about it. My thanks go to you, First Light, Tim1357, A. B., and all the others.

My first suggestion would be to add something to the filter to check if he's adding an entry to any article beginning with "list of fictional..."

And I suppose that's really my only suggestion, however I also think that it's worth pointing out that I've also observed him removing taxoboxes from a great number of articles on animals presumably in order to make edits that do not trip the filter you folks have put in place. If there's some way to use the filter to block his edits that remove taxoboxes then I think that would also be very helpful.

Again I'm so glad I found that thread. You guys made my day. -Thibbs (talk) 02:26, 17 December 2010 (UTC)

One more quick note: He's operating from 180.247.1.104 currently. I'm not sure what ranges your filter covers, but I thought I saw that it was only the 178 range... Anyway it may be worth expanding the filter's scope in this way. Cheers, -Thibbs (talk) 14:07, 17 December 2010 (UTC)

Terah

I beseach your input. I want to be fair and I don't want to be whiney about someone coming along and reversing all my hard work with references.

Could you please look at the wikipage titled Terah and compare my revisions with the original draft. Someone undid all my work because they thought the original was better. I'm not complaining... but I have to know from another party, if what they did was valid... because it really is fusterating especially since I had references for a page that implicitly asked for references and they just reverted it back to the old way because they didnt like what I put.

Could you critique my work and tell me if what I prepared was really in fact shit.

I appreciate this. Thank you if you can give me some input. Jasonasosa (talk) 10:22, 17 December 2010 (UTC)

Merry Christmas!

Not at all

In fact, I just let the user know that this version looked pretty well referenced and to recreate it. If you'd like to simply undelete it, please feel free to do so. PMDrive1061 (talk) 17:13, 30 December 2010 (UTC)
