Disambiguation link notification[edit]

Hi. When you recently edited Luanda Province, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Viana (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Your recent activity[edit]

Please do not add or change content without verifying it by citing reliable sources, as you did to TAAG Angola Airlines. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Your edits have been reverted because the information introduced by you contradicts the one within the source provided. Please bear in mind that the threshold for inclusion in Wikipedia is verifiability, not truth.--Jetstreamer (talk) 19:40, 7 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to TAAG Angola Airlines. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. This is your second warning in less than 24 hours.--Jetstreamer (talk) 12:49, 8 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Missing edit summaries[edit]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed your recent edit to TAAG Angola Airlines does not have an edit summary. Please provide one before saving your changes to an article, as the summaries are quite helpful to people browsing an article's history. Thanks!--Jetstreamer (talk) 19:42, 7 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I am sorry, but the logo comes from the official Varig website, meaning it is the actual valid logo. And, there is no new Varig and old Varig anymore. There is only Varig. Look at their website. Old Varig is Gol and "new" Varig is Varig.--Shatabisha (talk) 23:23, 27 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Shatabisha, Thanks for your contributions to Varig and other aviation articles as well. However, with the due respect, allow me a correction to a very common and recurrent mistake: Varig - Viação Aérea Rio-Grandense, founded in 1927, and later known as Flex Linhas Aéreas went bankrupt in 2010. This is the airline that is informally known as "old Varig." Varig - VRG Linhas Aéreas, founded in 2006 and presently comprising the brands Varig and Gol is informally known as "new Varig." Varig article refers only to "old Varig" and for this reason the logo is the last one used by this company. As soon as "new Varig" was bought by Gol, the logo was changed to the one you were proposing. All information concerning "new Varig" is found on the article of Gol. Simply put, it is two different airlines operating at different times but with the same name, in a very similar situation to Alitalia and pre- and post- war Lufthansa. Nice to hear from you and BRGDS (Brunoptsem (talk) 01:25, 29 February 2012 (UTC))[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
