IAG

Thanks for adding that detail about IAG's roadservice operations. I thought they had something like that in China. Do you have a reference for the details of the operation? It would be great if you could add a small bit in the Asia section and add a reference for it - This article needs a few more references.. Every little bit helps Abeorch 09:43, 22 July 2007 (UTC)

Redcliffe suburb NASA Landsat montage

Hello. You have provided NASA Landsat montages for all Redcliffe City suburbs bar the suburb of Redcliffe (it currently shows a pulled-back image of the peninsula which itself is better covered with Image:RedMap-Fullsize.png). Would you like to create one showing the Redcliffe suburb?

Also an idea I think might work well, when showing suburbs in an area, it might work better by darkening surrounding suburbs with a tint (not a 100% blackout), leaving the suburb in question clear. Eitherthat, or using, say, a white outline to show the suburb with black lines for the other suburb boundaries. In any case, blacking-out the suburb being demonstrated is less effective than what I am suggesting. If you would like me to assist you in this with advice, I'd be very happy to help! I will reconstruct all these maps, My mapping skills are a lot better than that! aliasd·U·T 05:54, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

Please do not delete content from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Clontarf, Queensland. Your edits do not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use Wikipedia:Sandbox for test edits. Thank you. You removed referenced statements from this article. Many further references can be found to assert the facts you removed. I would also like to request that you state any association you may have with the tourism industry or city council of Redcliffe. aliasd·U·T 18:22, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

I worked on the page significantly, including removing your derogatory and untrue statements ("human effluent", "high unemployment"). The affected reference I removed added no value to the article whatsoever, appeared to be only an editorial opinion piece from The Redcliffe and Bayside Herald – against WP:NPOV – and was misconstrued as a citation to your statements. The end result was a page with an improved writing style that was easier to read, an improved presentation and layout, and added information. Seo75 18:39, 11 August 2007 (UTC)
You are saying it is not NPOV because it is attributed with a reliable source? Your edits seeked only to minimise content to a 'rose tinted' version, creating a POV. There was some good to your edits, as was pointed out by a minor reversion by User:Orderinchaos, and I should have been more selective about what I reverted and warned you about. I do not WP:OWN this page, but you are not removing properly referenced content without consensus. Please still state any relationship you have with the Redcliffe City Council or Redcliffe tourism industry.
Yes, I am saying that it is not NPOV because it is attributed to what looks highly-likely as an editorial piece of The Redcliffe and Bayside Herald, and editorial pieces in newspapers is an opinion of the newspaper. My edits removed statements that could have been interpreted as vandalism with your claims that Clontarf's coast is "polluted with human effluent", which sounds as though there is untreated human feces on the beach. Completely untrue. The occasional foul smell in the Clontarf area is caused by baking seaweed in the dry man-made concrete drain beside Bells' Beach caravan park, which is something Redcliffe City Council has worked on for years to avert. And in any case, the cited article states a "``raw sewage'' smell" (emphasis added) – it smells like shit doesn't mean it is shit, but that is what it has been misconstrued as. People swim, boat, jet ski, fish and eat the fish from Bramble Bay. If its shoreline was as bad as you made it sound like, there would be plenty of cases and reports of sicknesses and warnings to not use the bay and beaches. The other claim of "high unemployment" wasn't even cited at all, yet in the same sentence continues to state that "many residents (commute) to Brisbane daily for work". Finally, if I have to identify myself to you, then I shall say that I have no relationship with Redcliffe City Council nor Redcliffe's tourism industry. Seo75 13:28, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

I did not know any other way to contact you. I changed Quizmania Australia to say that "the shows hosts say the show will be back, although it is unspecifeid whether this is definate or when it would possibly return." as it is true. The hosts said this on the closing episode, look up a few clips on youtube, I am correct and I will not let actual events be altered saying that they didnt happen. Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Scorpio87 (talkcontribs) 04:22, 9 September 2007 (UTC)

You need to cite a source, such to as an on-line newspaper that we can see, to prove the claim as being true and correct. Wikipedia is not a place for original research. As much as I preferred to watch Quizmania over The Mint, I find your claim as tagged: dubious. (Oh, and you must sign your messages too.)  SEO75 [talk] 04:33, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
Okay if it needs written documentation I apologise, also I do not dislike The Mint in fact I auditioned and my editing is only from now on going to be proven with written documentation, all other editing is proven and will make sure I have more written proof for anything else I change. Thanks and apologies again. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Scorpio87 (talkcontribs) 07:16, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
Great. :) We must keep claims made here on Wiki accountable so it can be thought of as a reliable encyclopedia. Ummm, and add talk items to peoples' talk pages, not their main ueser pages, thanks.  SEO75 [talk] 07:47, 9 September 2007 (UTC)

Vandal warning

Just to let you know, due to user history, I have upgraded your vandalism warning on User talk:Stevemc81 to a level 4. If you see this user vandalising again, they should be reported to ARV as a vandalism only account and as an account that has continued vandalising immediately after a block. Please drop me a message if it needs to be done and you don't know how to do this, and/or want me to go through the process. aliasd·U·T 15:05, 15 September 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for your reply. With that sort of past you should just give them a level 4 and seriously consider reporting them immediately. aliasd·U·T 15:49, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
