Welcome![edit]

Hello, Satya adt, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! - McMatter (talk)/(contrib) 13:48, 19 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for taking time to advise me McMatter. Yes I do need help with the page and yours would be most welcome. Kindly help. Kind Regards, Satya Satya adt (talk) 13:02, 10 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Satya adt (talk) 17:24, 19 June 2015 (UTC) Hi, Thank you for the feed back. I would like to know, how did what I wrote and as you say, contributed t0:[reply]

1- conflict of interest 2- find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way

Kind Regards,

Satya. Satya adt (talk) 17:24, 19 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

There are several things which indicated a Conflict of interest and NPOV issues. With phrases like[1] "Hailed as the Melody Queen of Nepali folk music"and "Shri SingMan Waiba-her Guru (teacher) an accomplished musician himself" are very promotional in nature, and there was no Reliable source which stated such. Not to mention your message on my talk page "I am Mrs. Hira Devi Waiba's son" is an admission of Conflict of Interest, you may have difficulty writing in a neutral objective manner since you are related to the subject. What I would recommend is to follow WP:PER to requests edit to the page.- McMatter (talk)/(contrib) 21:09, 19 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Satya adt (talk) 22:11, 19 June 2015 (UTC) Thank you for the explaination. If those are the guidelines, I do respect them. Is it ok to put a picture up?[reply]

Regards Satya adt (talk) 22:11, 19 June 2015 (UTC) Satya.[reply]

There should be no issue with uploading a picture, just make sure to ensure all the proper copyright/license information is filled in or it could face deletion. I am not an expert on images though there is a technical write-up at WP:UPIMAGE.- McMatter (talk)/(contrib) 22:15, 19 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thank You. Regards.

Satya adt (talk) 10:38, 25 June 2015 (UTC)Hi, I have uploaded a picture but I think I got the process wrong. Kindly advise.[reply]

Regards. Satya adt (talk) 10:38, 25 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Satya adt. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Navneet Aditya Waiba, for deletion because it's a biography of a living person that lacks references. If you don't want Navneet Aditya Waiba to be deleted, please add a reference to the article.

If you don't understand this message, you can leave a note on my talk page.

Thanks, ubiquity (talk) 18:20, 28 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

References for Navneet Aditya Waiba[edit]

Please read the proposed deletion notice on this page carefully. Note that all biographies of living people created after March 2010 must have at least one reference to a reliable source that supports at least one statement made about the person in the article. The links to videos of your mother singing, and the link you recently added, do not satisfy this. Do you have any sources that support the facts of the article, such as her being the daughter of Hira Devi Waiba, or any source demonstrating notability? I understand that to you, as her son, she must be very precious, but in order for her to have a Wikipedia article you must be able to document that other people have found her to be notable. ubiquity (talk) 18:48, 28 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the advise and direction. I am trying to contact you but Wikipedia communication seems complicated, hence this is the only way I could think of.

Question-- Do you have any sources that support the facts of the article, such as her being the daughter of Hira Devi Waiba, or any source demonstrating notability? Answer-- Yes, the links are of Nepal's leading national newspapers and most popular and widely visited websites and social media pages.

Yes I have added links which demonstrate the authenticity of the article. Unfortunately most are in Nepali hence you might not be able to read.

I will try and clean up the page more and develop it. Yes, I am her son but here my role is only of a Wikipedia contributor. In this case, I cannot help it if Hira Devi Waiba was my Mother.

I hope that explains. Kindly advise if more input needed.

Kindest Regards.

File permission problem with File:Navneet Nepali Folk Singer.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Navneet Nepali Folk Singer.jpg, which you've attributed to to yourself. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to [email protected], stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to [email protected].

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. - Mlpearc (open channel) 03:18, 29 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The article Navneet Aditya Waiba has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. reddogsix (talk) 16:02, 4 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Satya adt. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article Navneet Aditya Waiba, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. Lemongirl942 (talk) 07:24, 10 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Navneet Aditya Waiba requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hello, Satya adt. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Aye Syangbo - A Tamang Selo, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.
