Signature lint[edit]

Hey! I noticed your signature includes a <font> tag, which is obselete in HTML5. There's more info at WP:SIGFONT on what this entails, but the rough idea is that since these tags are considered obselete, support for them by browsers could be dropped at some point, meaning the styling effects would be broken and unrendered. This also means your signature actively generates linter errors. Fixing previous occurances of the signature isn't a major priority, as the tag isn't expected to be unsupported soon, however I'd suggest changing it now for convenience and to reduce the work for other editors and bots.

I've provided an alternative signature below for you - the display will be identical, but will also be HTML5 compliant (and shorter in size!).

Nazim Osmanov[edit]

Hi Salazarov, I saw your contribution to the deletion discussion on Nazim Osmanov – thank you for making that point. AfD has a serious "ethnic cleansing" problem (not only for Uzbekistan – I frequently see AfDs for Ukraine-related articles made without a single Ukrainian source referenced), and if it weren't for your intervention it seems likely that the article may have been deleted. I've subscribed to Central Asia AfD alerts and will try and keep an eye out for such cases in the future. Katta rahmat! Akakievich (talk) 10:09, 5 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Dolma[edit]

Hello. Since this isn't Uzbek Wikipedia, I've restored the English title Dolma. If you disagree, please see the procedure at WP: Requested moves for proposing a controversial move. Thanks! Largoplazo (talk) 22:29, 25 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Women in Red[edit]

Hi there, Salazarov, and thanks for adding the Women in Red template to your user page. It's good to see you are interested in helping us to chip away at the gender gap. On the basis of the biographies you have already contributed, it looks as if you could be a good contributor to the project. It would be useful if you could sign up under "New registrations" on Wikipedia:WikiProject Women in Red/New members where others will be able to see your interest. Please let me know if you run into any difficulties. Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 08:34, 6 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Ipigott He! Good days! Yeah, I had a problem while editing the member page. I couldn't edit it. I want to write about women from Uzbekistan and have already seen a list of necessary articles. Thanks! Salazarov 08:40, 6 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Ipigott! Oops! Sorry! I was screwed up! I addedm yself to the list! But, yesterday, it couldn't be edited. Salazarov 08:47, 6 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for signing up and welcome to the project. Glad to hear you intend to write about women from Uzbekistan. Unless you have individuals in mind, you'll find many potential subjects on our this redlist. Before you write your first women's biography, you should take a look at some of our essays, perhaps starting with our Ten Simple Rules. Please let me know if you run into any difficulties or need assistance. Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 12:30, 6 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Women in Red 8th Anniversary[edit]

Women in Red 8th Anniversary
In July 2015 around 15.5% of the English Wikipedia's biographies were about women. As of July 2023, 19.61% of the English Wikipedia's biographies are about women. That's a lot of biographies created in the effort to close the gender gap. Happy 8th Anniversary! Join us for some virtual cake and add comments or memories and please keep on editing to close the gap!

ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:54, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
