Speedy deletion nomination of Dupré Logistics[edit]

Hello DupreLogistics,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Dupré Logistics for deletion, because it seems to be inappropriate for a variety of reasons. For more details please see the notice on the article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Prmcd16 (talk) 19:41, 11 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

December 2016[edit]

There have been two problems identified with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. -- samtar talk or stalk 20:55, 11 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Thank you for the opportunity to discuss my errors and hopefully correct them. This is my first time navigating the complex waters of Wikipedia authorship and clearly, I have much to learn. I reviewed the reason for this block and I have no intention of repeating the edits that resulted in being blocked. I meant no harm or deception with the creation of this page; I was simply researching a subject and company of interest and attempting to provide information that would be helpful to the community. To begin with, if I am allowed to resume editing this page, the first thing I will do is carefully review the tutorials and other materials available — including seeking the counsel of experienced editors/admins as needed — to properly educate myself going forward. Along with that, I will add citations to my edits where needed — which I was in the process of doing before being blocked — and remove any language that could be deemed promotional. As is noted above, I have submitted a new username for consideration. I understand that this name represents a single user and not a shared group or organization. Again, I appreciate the opportunity to explain myself and hopefully be allowed to regain access to this page.

Accept reason:

Allowing username change to requested username. Please put this request in at Wikipedia:Changing username as soon as possible to avoid re-blocking. -- samtar talk or stalk 07:13, 13 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Lost article in Sandbox[edit]

Hello! I was working earlier in Sandbox preparing an article for submission, but now I cannot locate it. It was nearly ready to go and I thought I had saved it. Can anyone tell me how to find it? Thanks. STWheeler (talk) 23:52, 22 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello STWheeler, here is the latest version of your article submission. However, you will want to write your article in the draft mainspace, not the draft sandbox. Just copy and paste your revision from the link that I provided you into the draft mainspace. To do this, click here, and then place the title of your article where it says, Please type the name of the article here to start a draft. Then click the button that says, "Create draft", and then copy and paste the preferred version of the article which I provided for you above and submit it. Hope this helps! 73.96.113.99 (talk) 01:14, 23 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Checking on new article submission status[edit]

Hello, Wiki community! New user here, still learning the ropes. I submitted a new article for consideration last week and was told that it could be a week or more until review because of a backlog. This is fine. Just curious how I can check on its progress or even be sure it went through for review because I can't find any evidence of it. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated. Have a safe and happy new year! STWheeler (talk) 17:54, 29 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
