Peer review limits changed

This is a notice to all users who currently have at least one open peer review at Wikipedia:Peer review. Because of the large number of peer review requests and relatively low number of reviewers, the backlog of PRs has been at 20 or more almost continually for several months. The backlog is for PR requests which have gone at least four days without comments, and some of these have gone two weeks or longer waiting for a review.

While we have been able to eventually review all PRs that remain on the backlog, something had to change. As a result of the discussion here, the consensus was that all users are now limited to one (1) open peer review request.

If you already have more than one open PR, that is OK in this transition period, but you cannot open any more until all your active PR requests have been closed. If you would like someone to close a PR for you, please ask at Wikipedia talk:Peer review. If you want to help with the backlog, please review an article whoe PR request is listed at Wikipedia:Peer review/backlog/items. Thanks, Ruhrfisch _><>°^° 01:08, 3 February 2012 (UTC)

Re:Dispute

Hello User SGGH, I wanted to reach out to you regarding Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/IncidentArchive736#Edit warring/BLP/dispute resolution. I still haven't received any response from User: Jerzeykydd, the editor who took offense to my attempts to standardize some of the House of Representatives articles by including a tenure section (using Nancy Pelosi as a template), or anyone else who commented on the dispute. I want to resolve this, or at least get some feedback but I have received no response to my post on Jerzeykydd's talk page (prior to the dispute)user talk:Jerzeykydd#Tenure Subsection. The ANI thread was raised on January 19th, you have left your current message on the user's talk page today (15th Feb) and the time stamp reads 07:05. The timestamp on your above message reads 07:01. Does this mean ytou have come here to say that Jerzeykydd is't answering you, before you go and message him? Yes I know you messaged him on the 4th, and why he didn't answer I don't know, but that was before even the ANI post. MSU Interview

Dear SGGH,

My name is Jonathan Obar user:Jaobar, I'm a professor in the College of Communication

Arts and Sciences at Michigan State University and a Teaching Fellow with the Wikimedia

Foundation's Education Program. This semester I've been running a little experiment at MSU,

a class where we teach students about becoming Wikipedia administrators. Not a lot is known

about your community, and our students (who are fascinated by wiki-culture by the way!)

want to learn how you do what you do, and why you do it. A while back I proposed this idea

(the class) to the community [[Wikipedia:Village_pump_

(proposals)/Archive_82#Learn_to_be_a_Wikipedia_Administrator_-_New_class_at_MSU|HERE]],

where it was met mainly with positive feedback. Anyhow, I'd like my students to speak with a

few administrators to get a sense of admin experiences, training, motivations, likes,

dislikes, etc. We were wondering if you'd be interested in speaking with one of our

students.

So a few things about the interviews:

Interviews will last between 15 and 30 minutes.
Interviews can be conducted over skype (preferred), IRC or email. (You choose the form of

communication based upon your comfort level, time, etc.)

All interviews will be completely anonymous, meaning that you (real name and/or pseudonym)

will never be identified in any of our materials, unless you give the interviewer permission

to do so.

All interviews will be completely voluntary. You are under no obligation to say yes to an

interview, and can say no and stop or leave the interview at any time.

The entire interview process is being overseen by MSU's institutional review board (ethics

review). This means that all questions have been approved by the university and all students

have been trained how to conduct interviews ethically and properly.

Bottom line is that we really need your help, and would really appreciate the opportunity to

Boycs

I am still hoping to make some comments about the remainder of the article in the next couple of days, if that would be helpful. And as I offered ages ago, I'll see what the Official Yorkshire History has on him too as that would round it off nicely. But it is looking pretty good and with a last polish it should be fairly solid at FAC (although you never can tell!) and definitely worth a go. --Sarastro1 (talk) 22:11, 19 February 2012 (UTC)
