Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Hello Rsm77! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot notifying you on behalf of the the unreferenced biographies team that 3 of the articles that you created are currently tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 963 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. Hiro Arikawa - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
  2. Hikaru Okuizumi - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Disambiguation link notification for February 10[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Jirō Shirasu, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ashiya (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Wilson Pickett[edit]

Give this and this a listen, and then tell me that Redding and Cooke were better soul singers. GabeMc (talk|contribs) 01:28, 18 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It pains me very much to see Joni Mitchell go, and I had to restrain myself from suggesting Radiohead for the list.--Rsm77 (talk) 01:35, 18 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Right, and I've been working dilligently to trim the list as best I could and I suggested adding only two entries (I'm a professional musician of 25+ years BTW, not that it matters here), yet you had to oppose one. Pickett was the greatest soul singer ever, and I thought you said sales should not be a factor. GabeMc (talk|contribs) 01:50, 18 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Mea culpa[edit]

I'm really sorry I was snarky to you. We all miss your input at Wikipedia talk:Vital articles/Expanded, and I hope you will consider rejoining the conversation, which has now gained a bit of momentum. We need broader participation to increase the validity of our proposals, and I found your comments particularly astute, so please accept my apology. GabeMc (talk|contribs) 02:05, 5 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I had a bit of time to contribute before, but I'm afraid I've become very busy now.Rsm77 (talk) 10:48, 10 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Vital Articles/Expanded: your participation[edit]

Thank you for your recent participation in VA/E topic discussions. It's good to have you back. Regards, Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 13:16, 9 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • I thought I'd just vote on a couple of things, and ended up spending more time than I'd intended, getting all my thoughts on films in! Might pop in again at some point if I find the time. --Rsm77 (talk) 13:26, 9 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Rsm77, since you've done some nice work with the literature section of the list, I've got a question for you: I just noticed we don't list François Rabelais or Gargantua and Pantagruel. Do you think we should add one or the other, or even both? Cheers, Cobblet (talk) 07:48, 21 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • I'd say one or the other has a good case. --Rsm77 (talk) 22:44, 23 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
