October 2020[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Wenzhou, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Please read MOS:SENTENCECASE and MOS:SECTIONCAPS. In the future, please be aware that Wikipedia's section headings should be much shorter and should be written in sentence case, not title case; in other words, "First Grand-Slam Chess Player In World's History" should have been capitalised as "First grand-slam chess player in world history" ("world's history" is incorrect syntax) but should really simply be "Zhu Chen", who is the focus of the section. Thanks. Julietdeltalima (talk) 17:20, 9 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not use styles that are unusual, inappropriate or difficult to understand in articles, as you did in Wenzhou. There is a Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. Please do not make these changes again without reading WP:SECTIONCAPS and WP:SECTIONHEAD. They are not appropriate in Wikipedia. It's important for Wikipedia articles to conform to Wikipedia's style manual. Please pay attention to this message. Your referenced prose contributions are good, but you are leaving a tremendous amount of proofreading for other volunteers with your overcapitalization and oververbosity in section headings. Thanks. • Please respond to Julietdeltalima's message. Rqwfas1, your editing and violations of the Manual of Style have reached a level where they are extremely disruptive. If you continue to make such disruptive edits and do not discuss the matter, your account will be blocked, at least from the Wenzhou article. —C.Fred (talk) 19:24, 9 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Section headings and capitalisation[edit]

Please respond, either to this message or on Talk:Wenzhou, that you have read and understood the messages I've been sending you regarding your heading formatting. I don't know what else to tell you except that what you are doing isn't correct. I've tried to tell you where to look in Wikipedia's style manual to understand why I'm making the changes I'm making. You're adding valuable content and I want to encourage you to contribute to the encyclopedia, but you must do it the correct way. Again, please acknowledge that you have seen my messages. If you disagree with them, then it might help you to discuss that with the editors at the "Teahouse", where uninvolved editors can give you advice. Thank you for your contributions; I am trying to help you make better ones! Take care. - Julietdeltalima (talk) 19:14, 9 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
